The food at the Flamingo might be the worst in Vegas

I'm still a big fan though

Anyone know where there is a good haircut place for men in LV?
I have been to two places where my wife's jaw dropped after the haircut was done.

One of those was in Vegas and it was The Art of Shaving in the Mandalay Shoppes.

I went to Arias spa last week and got their men’s royal treatment. It’s a hot shave, a haircut, and something where they put cucumbers in your eyes. It was very enjoyable and the shave and haircut were done very well

None of the rooms you just named are cold at all. You’ll be fine in what you said you’d wear. Most people wear shortsleeved shirts and shorts and are fine

You might take a look at Bravo. You could also call around to the more active rooms to see if they will be running that cash game.

Aria has a 5/5 w/ rock game that’s been running surprisingly often post WSOP. No idea about next week though.

If you really mean “+” and are willing to play significantly higher, ask the desk at Aria if they can contact a couple people who want to play.

Between Aria and Bellagio, I bet you can find such action.

If this is your first time in Vegas and you want to get to Bellagio from Aria, here is what you do.

Turn right out of Aria's front door, walk across the street into Vdara, walk out Vdara's backdoor and take the walkway to Bellagio.

After that, I can't remember how to get to their poker room.

Bravo would be a good idea as it will give you a general idea of what games rooms run and how active a room is.

I don't believe Bellagio and Aria run $1/$2. I think the lowest is $1/$3. Caesars has $1/$2.

I am going out within the next two or three months and my plan is to play tournaments at Bally's plus cash at Caesars.

Good idea on bringing extra clothing as people are different. I know another poster said the rooms you mentioned aren't cold, but that doesn't mean you will think the same. So I don't have to worry about a bag and an article of clothing, I am bringing one or two hoodies on the trip.

Right turn out of Aria’s back door, not front.

Isn't it faster and easier to get on the Tram from Aria to Bellagio?

Just walk up to the desk at Aria and say that you’d like to play 50/100 PLO. They might send another host over to assist you or try to convince you to join the game at Table 1 in case that’s going.

Unless the Tram is right there when you get to the platform or are elderly/handicapped, walking should be faster anyway.

I always walk to Bellagio when staying at Aria.
I would be surprised if it isn’t faster.

Not really, unless you're coming from Park MGM then it's pretty much a wash.

If you are inside Aria, it is faster and easier to walk than use the tram. If you are south of Aria, it might be marginally faster to use the tram.

If the tram stopped at the other end of Bellagio it would be more useful.

You are correct. I just think of the back door as the front door because that is the door I have used 99.9% of the time.

Quick question on the $20 trick.

Does it still work? Am I making it $50 instead? This is for Mirage end of August.

I’m also coming in with some kind of $50 / day food promotion thing, somehow upgrading my room isn’t going to affect this would it? Anyone have experience.

It is funny that I don't see the point in doing the upgrade trick on a room you will probably spend very little time in.

Funny because I have booked some nice rooms from the start and spent very little time in them. In my defense, I am married and booked such rooms so the wife and I would be really comfortable.

The best upgrade I ever got was when we went on an anniversary trip, I told the clerk the occasion, and we got upgraded two levels above what I booked.

I opened the door to the room, the wife stepped inside, and goes "Holy crap."

Good luck on the upgrade.

It might. But no more than twenty.

Your $50 food comp won't be affected.

Also, remember to charge everything you spend at MGM properties to your room.

And if you're staying at The Mirage be sure to check out Carnegies. The pool is also first class.

If you have enough money, I would image they're all friendly.
