Also if one is 60 or over, on Medicare or is a veteran one can visit the Bonneville Transit Center, 101 E. Bonneville Ave. and RTCSNV.org will take your picture and issue you a free reduced fare ($1) city bus ID on the spot, no Nevada residence required.

grocery delivery:

has anyone ever tried ordering groceries to a hotel? For example I just saw that Smith's is doing delivery in Vegas (12 dollar fee), maybe others, too?

I imagine it would be no problem meeting the driver in the driveway of any strip hotel?

instacart too. pretty sure you get the first delivery free from them

Walmart is great also, only $7.95 delivery. I get delivery every week from either Walmart or Smiths thru instacart, depending if they have the right items to get and get free delivery or not.

Have not tried to a hotel, so not sure if that works or not.

How is the bell person involved in someone coming to your room?

Because, depending on which hotel it is, they have to drop off your stuff at the bell desk to get delivered up (ie the delivery person isn't the one that gives you your ****)

so you mean at some hotels they actually come up to your room? and at others they cannot so they drop off at the bell desk? my only concern would be that the bell desk has to bring it up quite fast if it has to stay refrigerated.

At most nicer hotels (and condo/apartment complexes with a front desk), you can’t have outside stuff delivered to your room.

If you order deliveries, you either meet the delivery person outside or in the hall or have them drop off your items at the front desk / bell service and they notify your room.

Disclaimer: I don’t know anything about how chill Vegas hotels are, but there are other hotels that are pretty strict about their “no unauthorized business on our premises” rules. Delivering a pizza in person is a business transaction, technically. I’ve seen an animated conversation about that topic that ended with the pizza guy getting banned from the hotel.

Nah you should be fine, just be aware always. Anytime you are bunched up about to get on escalator or stairs, etc. I always keep my hand on my wallet and cash in pocket.

Once I was carrying a bunch of cash in my backpack for several days walking around the strip and I was super aware, even turning it around and facing my front in crowded areas, its a 1 strap backpack.

Any place online? Some searching couldn't find anything except ebay.

Or do you just have to do it in person?

I think that if you are worried enough to ask about it then you should carry
fanny pack/other for additional protection.

Peace of mind if nothing else because even when you are "aware" it only takes a few seconds of being unaware for it to do down.

It is weird AF to me, the idea of actually paying money to advertise for a casino.

The aria jackets and hats are really sweet. I have a couple of each. If the clothes are comfortable and they have the logo of a place I love going I have no issue wearing their gear

For those who are extra nervous or fashion concerned, something like this that can actually fit under a shirt might be a good idea.

Awhile back when I needed something like that, I ordered 3 different ones from Amazon and picked the best one and sent the other 2 back. The key was how many $100 bills would fit in it. I ended up taking the straps off and just putting it down the front of my pants under my shirt with half sticking out under my shirt. Worked perfect.

If you’re gambling or playing poker at even sort of high stakes you could just carry around $500 or $1000 chips. A lot easier to store those than a huge pocket or Fanny pack filled with hundís
