Are there any casinos known to make the best free cocktails while playing table games? My wife would be thrilled to bet the pass line while drinking a good mojito or margarita.

Would be a very MGM-esque move to buy out Dubai World after telling investors at every earnings call over the last couple of years that they are looking into options to liquidate assets.
Yeah, SPG now owns the Crystals. Perhaps a smart move, given retails tailspin and Crystals is just a miserable place to begin with.

The rumor was MGM was going to buy Cosmo and integrate but apparently they've had a change of mind.

It's nice, decent buffet selection, small bar but fairly well stocked, does get quite crowded at peak times. Maybe better now that it's Platinum only and they don't sell admission at the door to lower tier AMEX holders, I haven't been since that changed.

Pro tip: If you are fortunate enough to arrive slightly before 11am you can enjoy both the breakfast and lunch/dinner offerings of the day as they swap them out.

Is The Orleans more reg-ish than places on the strip? To my understanding that's where the locals go.

I've often played with dealers from other casinos at the Orleans. This is usually a good thing.

That makes low stakes No Limit games a little more sad but not more difficult.

I like the place. But lots of local low stakes grinders are miserable. Not only at the Orleans but everywhere else, too.

In the early 2010's, you tried to avoid playing with local regs because most of them were significantly less bad than the average tourist. Nowadays, the average tourist has gotten much better at poker while the average local reg either moved up beyond small stakes or stayed as bad as before.

So if I'm a bad reg, losing at 2NL, where should I go?

Does the WSOP do WSOPC rates for Rio? Code wsop8 only works for summer months, do they not have one for the Feb events? Called Rio 800# resrv line and girl rep there didn't know.

The craps table, the blackjack table, a strip Club, or a nightclub. Better chance of making money at the other games I mentioned, and strip club equals gigs and nightclub equals potential sexy time

I love sexy time and apparently the AVN award show is this weekend.

I've been playing poker about a year. Going through The Grinder's Manual at the moment. Still, I'm a losing player but I just wanted to get a feel for The Orleans. I know the strip is considered fairly soft - just curious what Orleans is like

Hey Guys,

So I am heading to Vegas early June and plan to spend a few nights with the guys and also a few nights with the wife.

My wife is really not into the strip and the smoky atmosphere. Where is a good place to stay with the missus? I am even ok with offstrip places. Last time we stay at the Bel but I think that was even a bit busy and smoky for her liking.

Biggest priority would be a nice pool atmosphere. Our idea of a nice pool is quiet and comfortable.

It would be a bonus if it were a non smoking and a non gambling location. Of course price is always a factor - cheers.

Thanks in advance.

Vdara sounds like the clear winner here.

The Vdara doesn't have a casino and is smoke-free. They have a rooftop pool as well, but I can't speak to how crowded/nice it is. My parents stayed there when they visited and they had an insane view. Definitely on the higher end in price though.
