You could always ask for a room that's not facing Carnival Court or the pool (if you sleep in the afternoon) but in general I think the noise situation got way better when they remodeled the old IP and replaced the windows.

Poker Room Access
PH better for Bellagio/Aria access
Linq better for Venetian/Wynn
Caesars is about the same from both

Update - $20, a smile and a friendly attitude at check in turned my run of house reservation into a nice king facing north in west tower (i think - it was closest bank of elevators to main lobby), above 20th floor as requested, 10-15 rooms away from elevator as requested and agent added a $75 credit at the buffet to my room folio. Very Quiet room, very comfy bed, nice quality sheets and towels and maid service was perfect.
Another happy customer.

I am thinking about making a trip to Vegas for a few days. Ive never been, so Im sorry if these questions seem kinda stupid or been asked before. Im mostly wanting to play lower buy-in tournaments or 1-2 and 1-3. Is there any advantage to playing at mostly one casino? I think I would like to try to play at a few different casinos since Ive never been to Vegas before.

Also, one concern I have about playing in Vegas is going up against a lot of regs. Is there any times/casinos I should avoid to avoid playing against mostly regs?

Just avoid off strip poker rooms like the Orleans or Red Rock which can be filled with nitty locals. (or so I've been told)

Some places might give you a discount on your room if you clock in 6-8 hours of play but generally speaking there's not a lot of benefit to playing in one room if you're going to clock in less than 50 hours on your card.

I'd say play in as many rooms as possible if you're new to Vegas just to get the experience and enjoy each atmosphere.

If you wanted to play in a variety of places, I would recommend 1 big strip room, 1 small strip room, the Orleans off-strip, and the Golden Nugget downtown. Hit a few places with different loyalty clubs (don't go to all CET properties unless you have one near you and you want to accrue points) so you can get offers from different places for your next trip to Vegas. Use PokerAtlas to find small stakes tournaments.

I wouldn't worry about regs. There are a lot of non-winning regs with gambling problems. The Orleans can be a great place to play if you find a table with a bunch of dealers who want to play a bit before heading home.

Thanks, both of these comments is helpful! I was thinking I should stay with properties with the same loyalty clubs, but this makes sense as to why I should do different ones.

RR is only filled with nits/OMC's during daytime on weekdays from what I've seen. Action is decent otherwise with many tables going.

Is this true for all casinos, or just RR/off strip casinos?

Dude. Just check out a bunch of rooms, play where you want to play. You're way overthinking this. 1/2 and 1/3NL aren't all that different from place to place, and whether any particular place is reg-infested/nitty/OMC/loose/crazy/whatever is more a function of that specific table at that specific time than an overall characterization of the entire room.

Also, most regs suck.

Considering how nice these are and location, etc. and that HOA alone is probably $800+ a month. How could he rent these for only $2000/month? Especially the 3rd one.

Does this look legit or a possible scam of some kind?

Could be legit. They don't want/need it and would rather get $2k a month for it than $0.

Yeah that is very legit. 600 sq ft for 2k. I've been looking at Vegas real estate for years and that is the fair market value for a rental of that type.

I called the guy. He would even do month to month for that price. I might check it out for 1 month temporary. He owns like 6 or more of them and lives in LA.

That an advertisement quotes market prices has zero to do with whether or not it is legitimate.

Why not go with some platform with some payment protections built in instead of Craigs list ?

These could all be legit, or not.

A red flag for me is how this seemsto be a group of multiple condos listed by ne person/entity, yet the add says no "management" co is involved ??

You might request some evidence that the guy you would be paying in fact has the right to lease out the condos, a utility bill in his name would be nice.

I saw a car in Vegas today with Hawaii plates. Why would someone bring a Hawaii registered car to Vegas and how would you do that? I am assuming there is no ferry service. Thanks.

They're probably in the military. You can ship a car from Hawaii for a thousand bucks or so.

Any follow up on this? Seems like a really tempting deal but is there any way to know this is legit for sure?

Same way as finding out if any other business is legit. If somebody rents out multiple condos, you should be able to find information about him or the business online.

If not, ask for a couple references and tell him you want to see the unit before payment.

Quick question about reward cards:
I havent been vegas for awhile and the time i was there to play WSOP, I had to register for their total rewards card which took a while in long line up. I know it only works for casinos under Caesars.
This time i plan on playing at the Wynn and Venetian. Do i need their card to play poker and should I do online first before I go over?

You will only need their players cards if you plan to play tournaments, but you can also get them pretty easily (typically they'll just give you one in the poker room).

You might also need a card in order to win any BBJ or other special payouts that they have. I don't know how those properties work in this regard, but some others do. Besides, having the card means that you earn comps which can be spent on food, hotel, etc. Not to mention the possibility of getting future offers from these properties.
