These are probably the most expensive drug stores in the country. If you have a car you probably want to go to an off-strip location for shopping.

Go to Wal-Mart - plenty a few min drive away and they'll have everything and anything you need for cheap

I doubt it. A quick scan of yelp reviews shows that most consumers are very happy with the prices they find at CVS on the strip noting that the prices are the same as their local CVS and much cheaper than other stores on the strip. I'm pretty sure the cough drops I bought there were cheaper than in the Dallas stores.

CVS south of city center has the same prices as our local one, weekly promotions for card holders and 20%/30% off name brands / store brands for people with access to an employee card.

Well, the central strip Walgreens I have been to was extremely overpriced; can't really speak to the other ones I guess.

Where are you staying on strip? There's a vons on Tropicana east of the strip if you're staying south strip. Albertsons at flamingo and Maryland, smiths on Rancho just north of Charleston, Walmart at Charleston and arville. The Charleston stores are a bit further but pretty easy access from the north strip via the 15 at Sahara or spring mtn.

TI

thanks for all the replies so far.

Just looking to get a couple 24 cases of water to bring back to the room for the week. Usual price is about $2/CND for a case so didn't want to go down to the gift store and have to pay $5/ bottle.

It's possible that the drug stores on the strip won't sell cases of water since those stores cater more to travelers who generally won't need that much water. Wal-Mart obviously is way cheaper in general compared to convenience stores like CVS/Walgreens. That being said, I bet a case of water at the locations would be fairly reasonable IF they sell them at all..which they may not.

Eek. Not much. And walkable is always debatable. Probably a mile each way. It's straight up Wynn rd to spring mtn, and its a Chinese grocery store so it's offerings will be different than what you're accustomed to. There's no normal American grocery stores in that part of town. There's little convenience stores attached to gas stations. You can look on google maps for "Green Valley Grocery."

Yeah man. But it's probably a $4 uberpool. Would for sure pay that rather than be walking in 115 heat or walking that area at night.

Walking there at night is fine. I used to live there and did it all the time. There are also buses though.
