Be aware that Aria sometimes cancels their daily tournaments with no notice whatsoever. Just be sure to have backup plans.

Thanks. I will keep that in mind.

Option A would probably be using the money budgeted for the tournament to buy into a $1/$2 cash game at Aria.

Option B would be going to another casino for a tournament.

Quick question: Anywhere on the strip where I can get an eye test and they make the glasses same day?

Be aware if you have an unusual prescription, a same day place will probably have to send the job out.

I don't know the answer, but I would check The Forum Shoppes, Fashion Mall, or Miracle Mile for Lens Crafters or Vision Works as they are the big two who advertise same day glasses.

I just looked at the Fashion Mall website and they have a Lens Crafters.

Aria's lowest NL game is a $1/$3. Not sure if that impacts you're plan or not, but figured I'd mention it just in case.

Thanks, but it doesn't change anything as I have played a lot of $1/$3 and have played as high as $2/$5 live no limit. I posted without checking to see if Aria offered $1/$2 or if it was $1/$3.

The plan is to eat at Cosmo's buffet that morning and while I go play poker, the spouse will have a spa day followed by shopping.

I meant budget-wise because a tournament BI would go further in 1/2 than 1/3.

As I don't short stack, I will let the spouse spend more at the spa if I have to play a cash game at Aria instead of the tournament so each of us has spent about the same although I will have the potential of coming back with money.

Thank you thank you. I didn't even know there was a Valley Tower, and I was there in June (this is my longest Vegas drought in a while).

Probably going to do KA again and wondering how far back is too far.

The time we did it, we had seats about ten rows from the stage and trying to watch the guys swinging from the rafters left me with a cricked neck.

So want to be far enough back to catch most of that action, but not think of the stage action as midgets.

It seems like the closest tickets for the date I am thinking is twenty-three rows back and on the side.

Unfortunately, those don't seem to be available on the days we will be in Vegas.

Why not try another Cirque show if you've seen KA? Vegas is the best place to see these shows (set stage) and there are quite a few to choose from all over the strip.

Saw Oh @ the Bellagio this summer and it was nothing but amazing. Totally agree with sitting further back to take in the whole show. We scouted out seats well before our trip and got perfect seats. 2nd deck dead center within the first couple of rows.

With AVN coming to town tomorrow, where will these lovely visitors be playing?

Quick AVN story. About 20 yrs ago I am flying from Vegas to Burbank on Southwest back when the wing exit row seats were configured facing each other. Being 6'4" those are my prime selection so I grabbed them.

A minute later the other 5 seats were populated by 1 male and 4 Vivid Video female performers. The lone male owned the company as I discovered though chat. The gal directly across from me stretched her legs out between mine the entire flight.

During our chat the owner asked what I did for a living and I told him I was a video editor. He asked if I was in the Industry and I replied, no, mostly sports like X-Games and Olympic coverage. He replied "Wow, I never met a "real" editor before." even though he owned a few of his own Avid editing suites. Got a laugh out of that.

I never thought I would see more beautiful women at Hard Rock than I would at Bellagio or Wynn, but alas... oh yeah, games are insane also playing way deeper than 1/3

Hi guys,

I got an email from Virgin Atlantic saying my scheduled return flight from Vegas to Gatwick has changed from Saturday 4th March to Friday 3rd March, which has annoyed me for a few reasons, one being that i lose a day in Vegas. Im now trying to change my hotel booking to suit (i booked direct through TR) but all efforts and all hotels still come out as being more expensive even with one less day booked than the booking i already have (i booked on black friday).

So, could i just pack up and leave one day early? My booking is at Harrahs.

Yes, when you get there just tell them at check in you plans have changed and you need to check out a day early. A lot of us book rooms and change as the rates change or take off a day or two early and go to a different hotel/location.
