Was thinking that we should have a "legal pot in NV" thread to discuss dispensaries and product but I don't want to start it as it is not a subject that I am qualified for.

With all due respect to Metro, it doesn't have to be "retail marijuana" to be legal?!? One can legally possess and use MJ in NV, subject to the conditions in the law, even if it was bought or obtained from a non-approved source, yes? (since there are at present no licensed sources for non-medical MJ). That phraseology on the poster makes me suspect that, at least until retail stores open, the cops could be asking folks, "Where did you get that MJ?"(looking to get you to admit to obtaining it from non-approved sources).

nah, that's just paranoia. weed has been low priority for lv metro for a while. now they can just ignore it.

there was a story on the local news about a grow house bust a couple of years ago. they got caught by the landlord doing an inspection. it came out that they were part of the many illegal MMJ sale operations you could find on weedmaps.com, before the dispensaries opened...metro knew about these operations 100%, could have shut them down EASILY, and chose to ignore them. this was like 3 years ago.

when I came out for last WSOP, I searched "420" on Craigslist and hit up the most legit sounding recent listing, sure enough a chill dude with awesome stuff/price came through my hotel's valet a couple times during the trip very smoothly

Staying at the LINQ in February. Best "cheapo" eats for ~20 a head excluding drinks? Getting pumped!

Is tix4tonight the best way to go about bottom prices for decent shows? Thinking a cirq show.

Check out Hash House a Go Go for a great, huge meal.
I would think the tix4tonight would have decent deals but you never know for sure. Certainly worth checking out.

I like Yard House a lot. It's at the linq promenade and has some really good food. It is a chain, but as far as chains go it is quite good. Fact is we have both Yardhouse and Hash House here in Dallas but neither is really convenient to me so I eat there when I'm at the Linq.

Hash House is open 24/7 so I tend to go there in the middle of the night.

How ambitious is it to to attempt the Grand Canyon and the pacific in 4 days? Day tripping both. Doesn't seem all too crazy to me.. just checking. I have a feeling I'll be wanting to come back.

In and Out was supposed to be open in December. Even though I'm not in Vegas, I'm fairly confident it is not yet open as it would have been announced on the Linq facebook page.

I've done the Grand Canyon in a daytrip. It was a very long day, especially if you go to the actual National Park and not the skybridge/indian place. The helicopter trip seems like the way to go.

Vitalvegas or someone like him posted an update that it is close.

It was 100% not open when I walked the Linq promenade in mid-Dec.

Anyone know how long diamond status will be good for at CET properties? I achieved 15k tier points last year.. will that roll my diamond status over to the end of 2017 or do I have to earn 15k tier points again?

I made Diamond in 2016, in the 2nd half of the year. The rules seem to say that I am entitled to the status for all of 2017. But my Diamond card says 1/31/17. I did argue the point in a series of emails to a casino host and I do have an email back from this host that says, yes, I am good through 1/31/18. So after 1/31/17 I will go to that casino's host office, armed with my email, and I will let you know.

eob - I'm pretty sure what happened is you get an "update" to your card for the 2016 gambling year and you keep that status for the 2017 gambling year with TR once you make Diamond

Looks like MGM is getting rid of the canopies at Bellagio.

On the flip side, a Starbucks is opening up within Bellagio in Feb. (At the flamingo / strip) entrance.

Not sure why they'd remove them after all these years. I suppose with all the service downgrades at Bellagio, they might as well start downgrading the casino itself.

Interesting. I've long felt those canopies made Bellagio look dated and tacky...especially compared to the likes of ARIA, Wynn, and Venetian. Although, I will agree with one of the comments I just saw regarding Palazzo feeling like a warehouse...that place is probably a bit too open.
