Yeah, poker comps only come in paper vouchers printed for you at the poker room on request. At least at Aria, Bellagio and MGM Grand, those vouchers are only good for certain restaurants at the same property (unlike real comps that are good anywhere inside any MGM building).

They are different. You can't see poker comps online and they're only good at that specific casino.

Looks like O isn't available for that date, though, so Ka is prob the best option.
Not sure if you went already but since you are staying at Mirage... Love is much better than Ka. Ka put me to sleep too like others have mentioned.

Random question. I love the slurpee-style alcoholic drinks like Fat Tuesday and there are a ton of them on the strip.

But I don't like going to the strip if I'm not playing poker. Every so often I get a craving for one of those yard long monsters. Is there any sort of off-strip bar or easy-access place that has these things?

I don't know why slurpee bars aren't a business model. That **** is awesome.

In New Orleans they have more daquiri bars than 7-11s. Some of them are drive-thrus.

Get a blender, ice, vodka, and Hawaiian Punch / pina colada mix / snow-cone mix etc. Or milkshakes with ice cream, rum, milk, etc.

Go to 7-Eleven, get the largest slurpee they sell and pour a minibar-sized bottle of the crappiest vodka you can find in it. Presto! And you saved like $14.

Yes, thanks for the suggestions. I now know the secret to frozen things.

But I was hoping to find a cool bar to hang out somewhere that happened to have awesome slurpee machines that didn't involve parking 2 miles away and surfing human waves to get to. A man can dream.

Just thought it was sort of odd that like 20+ of these places exist in casinos but apparently none of the hundreds of actual bars thought to have something like that.

Anyone have any tips / advice for seeing KA? Debating going, trying to figure out if the 75 dollar seats are worth it. (Don't feel like paying 200 bucks per ticket)

Would prefer to see O, but they are sold out / dark on that Saturday / Sunday. (To clarify, this is for next weekend)

Don't go, it's not worth it even for free, unless you need a nice nap.

You can get free seats through MyVegas if you've got a bit of time to build up credit on there.

I really liked Ka, would be surprised if there was a bad seat in the house tbh.

I'm guessing sitting in the first few rows is discouraged? There's a small block in the second / third row for 75, then the rest are 200 bucks for the entire section.

Doesn't seem that odd to me, it's an item that's for the tourists to wander around with. I can't quite picture a regular bar with people sitting at it drinking these.

Me and 3 friends booked a standard King suite at Encore next month. Nits that we are, we are hoping to pull of a free upgrade to a 2 Queen bed room. I've got 2 questions here:

1. Worst case, would we be able to squeeze 4 people in a standard King room, where 2 sleep in the king bed, and 2 on the couch?
2. Has anyone have had experiences pulling an upgrade at Encore, at least to a 2 queen suite at encore before?

Couch isn't a pull out bed and will only sleep one. Slight chance the person sleeping on that will get herpes too. (Although they did replace all the furniture in Encore rooms in the last 18 months...)

I played it safe and did the 12th row. 80 bucks rather than 180. works for me.

Had to laugh, had to book a midweek trip for a work confernce for the first week of August. Room rates are sky high relative to the year before because apparently there's a zoo convention going on as the same time as my conference. (Zoo thing is bringing in 30k people!)

When Excalibur is asking 200 a night on a Tuesday in August, you know it's busy. (I stayed at the Four Seasons for 220 last year)

I'm making my first trip to Vegas later this summer, can anyone recommend me their favorite poker rooms? Most fun, least wait, softest, shark tank, w/e. Also, how inconvenient/time-consuming is it to get to the strip from cheaper off-strip hotels? Any recommendations for moderately priced, clean hotels? I'd like to keep it to 30-50 a night if possible (will be there on weekdays). Thanks for any help.

Poker rooms: Spend some time reading 2+2 Forums.

Hotels: Convenient vs time-consuming depends on whether you have a car, or you would be using taxis or Uber/Lyft. Round-trip carfare added to the price of your off-strip room might equal the total cost of a Strip hotel. The cost of food at a typical Strip hotel will easily be double that of off-strip dining, and you might find it a time and energy drain to leave the hotel. An off-strip property is more likely to have a fridge/microwave and to be near inexpensive restaurants/grocery stores.

For $50/night on weekdays you might possibly get something downtown, but it won't be clean; bring your UV organic-stain-detector light. $70-80 is more realistic, heck, even Motel 6 is $60 or so on a slow weekday. Find out if there is a big convention in town during your visit, this could cause hotels to be very expensive or fully booked. Learn how to use Priceline/Hotwire and watch out for semi-hidden "resort fees" which can run $25-$30 per night over and above the room rate.
