like PP said there are plenty of open areas away from the strip where you could fly it. people fly them in the park (Desert Breeze) across from where I live as well all the time. Just drive around and look for a park/other deserty open area or head out to the desert where there is plenty of open space.

definitely do not do the bolded. they'll arrest you.

Anyone know which sports books are open (meaning they accept bets) latest? I'll be getting in around midnight June 2 and will want to bet on the French Open which starts at like 4am PST. Anywhere 24/7? Thanks in advance.

I know the South Point is 24/7. There may be others but I don't do enough sports betting to know for sure. You could also do one of the Nevada-based sports betting apps (like William Hill). They run books up and down the strip, so you can deposit/withdraw anywhere.

I learned that anyone who owns a drone weighing more than 0.55 lbs. must register with the FAA before flying the aircraft outdoors for hobby or recreation. I received an email from the FAA that it must be done using a physical address located in the U.S and a credit/debit card that matches the zip code of the physical address.

National parks like the Grand Canyon and Red Rock Canyon prohibit drones. It seems many of the drone videos I see of Nevada were illegal. Just like online poker, I should not bother trying to fly my drone in the "Land of the Free."

I thought about signing up for one of the apps but it looks like you have to sign up/deposit at the sports book so I'd still be SOL that night. Am I mistaken on that? Thanks for the South Point tip, looks like that's my best option.

I know William Hill has kiosks around town where you can deposit, as well as sports books. But I don't know if you can create an account from the kiosk. But the South Point is definitely 24/7 so maybe all the WH talk is moot.

Would like to ask if it is easy to get a box in the casino to store my money during the World Series? And are there any conditions to get the box? Lastly, if I'm not able to get the box in any casino for some reason, how would u guys advice to keep my money(10k+, would be staying mainly at the RIO and Palms)

Call ahead to see if a box is available. Use a bank if not. Don't walk from Palms to Rio with big wads of cash. A room safe if nothing else, but a bank with a card would be my first choice.

Next week is my first time Vegas, and I'm intending to play $200-$600 tournaments once or twice a day mainly at Rio (Colossus, Daily Deepstacks). I have a room at NYNY for 6 nights as part of a package I won, but decided I want to stay for 3 more nights, not necessarily at NYNY.

Would it make sense at all to try and wait for comps until I have played a bunch of tournaments and have points saved on my Total Rewards card before I try to book a room with discount, or should I book asap? I have zero idea how these benefits work, and whether playing these games make any difference.

Thanks

ps: If not, then I'm up for some room share, but I guess there is another thread for that.

Unfortunately you probably don't earn any Total Rewards credits for tournaments at the WSOP. I know you don't for cash games. You do earn points for playing at regular CET poker rooms.

Why give a rude reply instead of information if you have some?

Some people here try to help the best they can, even if they're not sure. Some are just here to mock others and make themselves feel superior. I know which group I am in.

I'm not from the states. Am I able to open a bank account with the local banks? I do not have a mailing address in America as well.

Doubtful. Box rental is $200 for the series, FYI.

I don't know. Try calling the hotel you're staying at, no doubt they hear these questions all the time. Just don't carry a lot of cash, some people can smell it.

Is it that dangerous in Vegas? And also with regards to your previous reply, isn't palms just opposite the Rio?

Just take ordinary precautions. Vegas is about average in crime rate but it's well known that the WSOP means thousands of poker players with a lot of cash converge on the Rio all at once.

Its common knowledge that you get a token amount of reward credits per buyin at wsop.

It used to be a $10 coupon, but was changed a few years ago to be relative to buyin.

It averages about 1/2% of buyin although not exact.

Example $1k buyin approximately $5-7 in reward credits.

Best places that do open bar packages for big sports matches? Thinking specifically a NBA or NHL finals game that might fall between 6/13-6/15?

Thanks

If it's not the Super Bowl or first weekend of March Madness, you are probably better just spending as you go.

You can open an account with wells fargo and boa as a foreigner, but there is a minimum balance if you want to avoid monthly fee. You must provide a local phone number and an address.
