OMG Total Rewards has the stupidest booking system

I sign in and see a rate calendar that looks something like this:

Monday rate: $10
Tuesday rate: COMP
Wednesday rate: COMP
*rates listed are for a one night stay. rates may vary depending on length of stay

Sure if i book only one night its $10 for Monday and $0 for Tuesday or Wednesday(base).
But when I try to book a three night stay, the rates will jump like crazy: it's now $15 for Monday, $30 for Tuesday, $50 for Wednesday. So useless.

Anyone have any tips with this

Nope. The system won't let you make two reservations within 3 days of each other under a TR promo rate.

Call them.

are you actually trying to book an offer? or just trying to book logged in with the rate calendar?

I have no actual offers, but a lot of dates appear as COMP when I'm logged in to TR. It's just frustrating how their rates change dramatically based on number of days. I like transparency. And you'd figure it would be cheaper for those staying a longer time; not more expensive.

It sound like you only have enough status for 'ONE' night's comped or $10 stay. Hence the *these rates are good for one night only. So sure, it shows multiple days as comped, but if you want to book multiple days, you have to pay whatever your status gets you for those extra days.

You should still get one night comped or maybe they are just averaging the rates over the dates? Don't know for sure, as I have never encountered that before. As someone else mentioned, I'd just call direct and ask.

Planning a bachelor party for March Madness next year. Going to rent a house for 10-15 people. Anything to worry about in these areas that I have favorited so far?

Thanks.

edit: here's a zoomed in view.

Pass on those east of the 15.

The rest really depend on the neighborhood. Your top right two are in my hood. Top one is fine -- it's a bit of a broken down car on the lawn and bathtub on the porch neighborhood, lots of older houses that haven't been maintained -- the other looks like it's on Sahara so really depends if it's in a neighborhood or what. You don't wanna stay on Sahara. Same with the ones N of Flamingo btwn Decatur and Jones, really depends.

Sorry not more helpful but overall I think you'll be fine with what you've picked West of 15.

Thanks for the detail, I zoomed in a bit more on the ones west of the 15 in case you have any info on the neighborhoods. Will scratch the ones east of the 15 off my list.

Going with a group of 8 to Vegas for a bachelor's party in mid June. The group wants to stay on the strip, preferably in a large suite or two. What are some good options for a group that size?

I have a short midweek trip planned for Thursday April 28.

Any recommendations for comedy shows? Preferably smaller venue but if there are good larger shows, that's fine.

Pass on anything that close to Rancho. I'm not too far from the other choices (Twain and Tenaya). It's an older neighborhood but really not bad. Some petty **** (had a couple of packages stolen from my front porch) but I've never felt unsafe, and never really worried about any serious **** going down. I can get to the Rio in ten minutes at most.

For me, TR allowed me only 4 consecutive nights to be COMPed without a 48-hour gap between bookings. So, I had to chop it up a bit.

June 2, 2016, Bally's COMPed ($32.48)
June 3, 4, 5: Fairfield Inn by Marriott Las Vegas Airport. Weekend prices are jacked up during the Colossus, so I booked just up the street from Bally's with no resort fees and breakfast included. $255.36 walkout total on Hotels.com)
June 6,7,8,9: RIO COMPed. ($129.92)

Keep in mind that COMPed means free room +$29 resort fees and taxes, so it's really about $33 a night at the cheaper TR hotels.

So my total for 7 nights is $417.76 or $59.68 a night. I should be able to use the free shuttle to the RIO each day, or I may have to Uber on Friday-Sun to the RIO. That's not a terrible total during this Colossus weekend.

I live at Rancho and Oakey -- right near two of those pins -- in the sleepiest of neighborhoods. Some of the areas right around there are among (imo) the nicest areas to live in Vegas, assuming you aren't worried about sending a child to public school.

Rancho where those pins are is different than Rancho further north...

Both those neighborhoods (near Rancho) are fine.

I know the address of the first one (563512) -- google maps satellite view & zillow ftw -- and it's in my neighborhood. Zero crime. You're 100% fine. Super convenient to everything. You can only get into the neighborhood on two streets, both off of Oakey (this nbh is on the SW corner of Rancho and Oakey), and this house is tucked back a bit. Really nice area.

Everywhere plausible on the second map is totally fine as well, though the second house looks smaller and a little more beat up. I'm guessing it's in Glen Heather, which is a little more blue collar and less maintained than the more upscale Scotch 80s, but still totally safe.

I don't know the (housing) area near Flamingo and Decatur super well, but if you're gonna pull the trigger on something, post it here first and maybe we can figure out exactly the address.

Thats awesome, thanks for the info. The one in your hood looks super convenient to get on the 15 and head south for uber/cabs.

I noticed room rates are different based on occupancy. Is there any reason why I wouldn't just ask for two extra keys if there are four in a room instead of two (and we have booked the room with the two guest rate)?
