I'm pissed right now. Tried to find in and out burger. Walked al the way to MGM walked down the road the wrong way. Turned around basically dead from the heat. Got to NYNY. Tried walking down that side and the sidewalk ended and was blocked off at the deuce stop there. How the hell do I get to this place?!?!

theres a freeway that has no pedestrian walkway even though its only like 1 mile off the trip behind Excal. Just take a cab and hit the drive thru, $15

Spend some extra money and buy a good burger on the strip rather than spending all day trying to get some fast food.

You can walk there if you take Harmon, behind Aria. I still wouldn't do it.

A few years ago I stayed at Excalibur, and walked there with no problem. Frankly, I didn't find the burger worth the effort though.

Must say that I'm loving LV so far, more than I'd expect. Won $2 from a slot machine, been doing well in my first non-online poker and got a # from a very cute girl.

Where can I spot famous poker players?

I was playing 1-2 at Planet Hollywood and am 90% sure that on another table of the same stakes was Andy Black (leaving 10% out because I expect that he'd be playing higher)

Also walked through Aria, the only person I recognized was JRB playing with some chinese people at the room separated by glass, but just next to low stakes on the ground level. Was that Ivey's room? Is it possible to peak into the high stakes? i.e Bobby's room or Aria's HS tournaments?

You could head to the RIO where the WSOP main event is being played and where you should likely see some "poker celebs".

I don't know if there will be anyone famous there, but it is easy to peek into Bobby's Room at Bellagio.

You missed a bunch yesterday at the aria. Saw Ike, luckychewy, dan coleman, galen hall playing the 25k. Saw Bobby Baldwin just strolling about. Jason Mercier was playing what I assume is Chinese Poker. Looked like a crazy game.

Jealous you are blown away by Vegas. This is my fifth time and the luster has come off.

which bally tower should I be requesting at checkin? My brother got a comped room for the wife and I for this weekend, and I'd like to make the best of a bad thing by getting the non-worst room.

Jubilee Tower is the updated tower. It blows away the Indigo tower. When one uses a comp it should specify which room you are getting by default...at least online it does.

I'm looking to come out for at least month around September and was wondering what my options would be for that long of a stay. Hotels or try to find a house on craigslist/online? Some of the hotels I checked online appeared to have a maximum stay of around 2 weeks?

Requirements:
Close to or on strip
Living room and kitchen
No room renting or room mates etc.
Safety/security would be nice but not a huge concern.
< $1500 per month and ideally more around $1000
If you decide to go the extended stay hotel route you should look at joining Corporate Lodging Consultants. They always have really good rates at extended stay americas. Looking at their app there are several in Vegas that the CLC rate is $45 for stays over 7 days. They then add a $5 service charge per night, but not bad for a decent room with a kitchen. No living room though.

--got to have a picture with Colman today and he was super friendly and nice. Made me actually feel a little bit sad that for the first time I got starstruck by someone younger then me. Also saw Doyle, Mosseri, and Lichtenberger (with his creepy guy). It's really fun seeing all these people I know from watching them playing for years.

Thanks....I did some looking around on some places online (flipkey, homeaway) and found some decent places for <$1500 which is what the Extended Stay would cost me and I would have a full apartment/condo.

Really just think I'm going to say **** it and move out there. I'm 30 with no wife/gf/kids/responsibilities so why the **** not. Reading some of the blogs/TR on here and some of you guys seem to have some fun.

On that note, anyone need a roommate?!?! Or if anyone knows of anyone trying to sublet a furnished place near the strip let me know.

What is the weed situation....I've seen billboards for weed. Is it medical out there? Easy to get a card?

Yeah. That's what they get for having a bad business model. Their client base never grew, their game selection got smaller due to lack of maintenance, and more bars in the area open. On top of that they tried to chargeme and my friends a cover the last time we wandered over there.

It was such a poorly run place. I'm not at all surprised that it closed.

Went to Rhino a few weeks ago. Apparently I had some huge misconceptions about this place expecting it to be a high-end strip club but it is really just your normal run of the mill low-end strip club that you will find anywhere in America and was certainly not at the level that I'm accustomed.

The club itself is really dated. Crappy chairs, no decor to speak of, no special effects or cool lighting, low ceilings, and no balcony or 2nd level. The visibility in the club was pretty bad. Could hardly see the girls on stage. Also, where we were sitting there was a light shooting down like a spotlight....on us, not the talent.

As for the talent, I'd say mediocre at best. There were a couple hits but mostly misses. Keep in mind this was on a Monday night which tends to be the slowest night for Strip Clubs...but also know that I generally go to strip clubs on mondays so I have reference points and the talent here was way worse than what I'm accustomed too. Also, beware of the late night shift change. Not sure what time it was...3am or 4am most of the dancers change out and a new shift comes in. The talent went way downhill at that point.

Also, many of the dancers were stuck up. I am accustomed to this at high end clubs but not from mediocre looking girls like these at a mediocre club. One girl wouldn't even take her top off during a lapdance wtf?!? All that being said, we still had a good time. A mixed drink with Tito's (my vodka of choice) was just a bit more than the cost of a beer so I appreciated that.

Can't review Sapphires as I had a backpack full of money with me and they wouldn't let me in with my backpack.

I did go to Crazy Horse III twice though and would say it's better than Rhino in every respect. It's not mind blowingly great or anything. I'd rate it as average, and would rate Rhino as below average. We went to Crazy Horse III early one night and the talent to customer ratio for the first couple of hours was like 10 to 1 lol. Saw Tito Ortiz's big head at Crazy Horse III too.

Forgot to mention that El Dorado Cantina is attached to Sapphires. That place is legit for Mexican food (open 24/7). Went there several times even though I never went into Sapphires itself.
