Email or call them to see if they will cut a deal due to your past play. The worst they can do is say no.

Violates terms of card agreement on back to do that.

I guess it's time to call them, then. Maybe offering to agree to a certain amount of verified play would melt their hearts a little?

So I'm planning to spend the WSOP in Vegas - looking at Gold Coast for the moment, it'll probably be my best solution. Questions - are there good groceries around it? In the past it was always an issue getting fresh produce around Rio. Are there any recreational short-term volleyball leagues or pick-up games?

I suspect I'll need a break in the middle of the series and will want to take a 3- or 4-day trip somewhere nearby. Is San Francisco the best option for such a short trip? Thanks in advance.

There's a store called "99 Ranch Market" less than a mile from Rio and Gold Coast (99 Ranch Market, 4155 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102). It's an Asian grocery store that has a great produce selection.

LA / Orange County is a 4 hour drive from Vegas, that would be my first choice if I didn't live here.

Sam Fran isn't close. There's a few options for drivable vacations. Depends what you are looking to do. If you like outdoor stuff go to the Grand Canyon or Zion and Bryce national parks.

I disagree. Bring up the past but don't promise anything in the future. Unless you were planning on doing all your gaming where you are staying anyway.

Renting a car while I'm in Vegas for a couple days while I'm out there - solely to go out of Vegas explore the desert, eg. Red Rock canyon, boulder city, lake Mead/lake las Vegas and maybe even mount Charleston.

I'm 25 so no qualms about legality. Any car rental companies I should avoid? Conversely, any that come highly recommended? I imagine hertz and avis are the most solid ones to go for. Although I would love to rent a convertible cadillac, any companies specialise in the higher end of car rental?

Also any suggestions/opinions on the places I mentioned visiting above?

Did a quick Google search and came up with this, but might be even higher end than you meant.

It does show my fees total is $0 (I'm platinum via the CC), is that because of my card, or are the fees already factored into the daily rates I see (that would explain some of the high costs I see now).

edit: just answered some of this by comparing to same rates when not signed in. Those are the actual prices, and the $0 fees is due to my card. My avg daily rate is a whopping $3-4 cheaper than rack rate. Jesus.
maybe youre running up against EDC? its 6-20 - 22 but i suspect that rates are going to shoot up for a couple days before and after.

Question regarding various rewards memberships for a LV virgin:

Since I'm booked at a CET room I got my TR and printed the card. Instructions say I can get my real card when I check in.

Now, since I am planning on at the very least playing at the Bellagio, should I go ahead and sign up online for a Mlife membership?

All other casinos are just individual programs, right?

might aswell get one. no need to do it online,
When you first sit down at the poker table and they ask you for a players card, they will usual say do you want one when you say you don't have one, they will make you one.

Sign up for a card wherever you go, there's no good reason not to. CET (Total Rewards), MGM Resorts (Mlife), Venetian/Palazzo (Grazie), Wynn/Encore (uh...Wynn) will cover most of the strip for you.

Do you have to be staying at Cosmo to get this deal? Is there an expiration on the rewards play and can it be used at table games?

So I just received this comp offer:

$250 in FREEPLAY® and your choice of:

3 Nts Comp in a Deluxe Room at ARIA™ or Bellagio®
3 Nts Comp in a Suite at Mandalay Bay®, MGM Grand® or The Mirage®
3 Nts Comp in a Suite at Monte Carlo™ or New York-New York®
4 Nts Comp in a Suite at Luxor® or Excalibur®

Plus: $100 Food & Beverage Credit

Going to be just me and I will be playing a lot of poker (in addition to probably degening off some money in the pits, which is how I probably got this offer.) Probably arriving in Vegas Monday evening March 10th, checking in Tuesday, staying TWTh night, with flight leaving Vegas Saturday March 15th at 1 am.

Which of the hotel options should I choose?

If I don't check into a hotel until Tuesday afternoon, is there a place to put my luggage until then?

I am looking forward to the trip, I have never been to Vegas.

You're just playing poker? Don't expect to get sweet offers like this again if you don't give them casino action.

I would choose Aria or Mirage. The suites at Mirage (assume tower or penthouse) are really really nice. It's certainly a better room than the basic at Aria, but Aria presents other benefits.

And you leave your bags with the bellman.

LOL, that is what I try to tell myself, but obviously it never ends up happening. I am sure they will get plenty of action.

Thanks for the opinions on the rooms. I am not too terribly concerned how fancy the room is, as long as clean. I would like something close to a lot of poker rooms so I can try them all out.

So I can leave my bags with the bellman before my room is ready? Like roll in there late Monday night/early Tuesday morning when I am not book for a room until Tuesday night?

Aria and Mirage are still the best choices for proximity to rooms. Aria is right there with Aria and Bellagio, Mirage is right there with Venetian and Wynn. FYI though, the bathroom alone in the suites at Mirage feel about as big as a regular Aria room. There is a massive difference between rooms.

And yes. It's just as easy as it sounds. Drop off your bags with the guy in front of the hotel, pick them up or call for them from your room when ready. Tip.

I'm taking the Mirage offer. I've stayed in a Penthouse suite there and it was badass. Everything eco posted is on point.
