^I hated KA as well and slept through some of it.

I have yet to see a cirque show I liked. Made the mistake of first seeing Zumanity
and now my Wife won't see any cirque shows although see was once keen on seeing them for her T.V. experience. I did see Ka with a friend and it was spectacular but
left you wondering what it was all about. The so called story line leaves much to be
commended. Sort of a spectacle with out point and thus is meaningless. As a consequence of these two experiences I have no desire to see the other cirque shows.

1k$ for 4 can get you a table with 1 bottle at a top tier club, maybe... Because its Halloween weekend, the table minimum may be raised.
At one of the mid tier or non super clubs, you can probably be able to find 2 bottles for a little over 1k which would include tax and gratuity.

(Reference: 1 bottle of grey goose runs about 400-450$ at xs with a table minimum of being 800-1200$ for the group of 4)

Insane prices. Who would pay that.

I bought two wristbands for XS and Surrender when I was drunk. It says "all access" and "open bar".

1) Was it worth it to pay $20 for each?
2) There is no date on these wristbands. I am probably too hungover to go today. Can I use them on wednesday or whenever the next party is?

When I party in Vegas I pay for the table to sit at, the space you don't have to share with anyone, the convenience of not having wait in line & most of all, it looks really cool to bypass the line while a hot girl walks you to your table and waits on you during your experience at the club. It's a home base to meet back at, to bring girls or friends to. Plus, buying drinks at the bar run about 15$+ a drink.

To me, in Las Vegas, its worth it.

(Halloween last year: presale/admission tickets were 150$ to see deadmau5, raised to 200$ at the door until capacity)

I have no experience with wristbands. Just verify what color wristbands they are using on which days, I would think.
However I do recommend purchasing presale tickets for the higher end clubs if table service is not an option. Depending on the day and DJ line up, cost ranges from 20-50$ each for guys. There is a seperate presale line to enter the club which moves very quick.

Quick question about using ATM machines. If I remember correct, ATM charges are ridiculous. What's the cheapest way to get cash out?

There's a Chase ATM in the CVS next to Monte Carlo. I think Bank of America and Wells Fargo have a couple on the strip as well. If you bank with one of those, the fees aren't as bad as inside the casino, though the time and effort to get to them may not be worth the $3-4 you'll save. I think I paid $5-6 the couple of times I used the ATM at Aria and Cosmo.

Thanks. I use Chase and I'm staying at the Monte Carlo, so that's perfect.

I'm looking at booking a trip next year. We are probably going to book the X3 at Mandalay Bay, and one or two double queens.

My question is this: Do you tell the hotel about every single person staying in the rooms? We will be looking to fill each room, so 6 and 4 people in each respectively. As I see it, the rate would jump up quite a bit if I declared all occupants. How likely is it that the hotel will know you have extra people if you only book for two people in each room. Has anyone done this before, or heard about people doing it?

I wouldn't tell them. They won't find out.

Yeah, don't tell them how many people, they really don't care. I've gotten 8 keys from the check in clerk at MB before.

Or just say you tend to lose keys a lot and need spares.
My last trip had 8 of us in a double queen resort room at PH.

8 people in one room? Hard to believe that it wasnt really cramped for everyone. I understand trying to save money but thats a bit much

Edit: I'm not too familiar with the resort rooms. Were they comfortable 8 people?

Don't be stingy and dishonest, just get another room.

I don't mind buying two rooms, however, the group I was with consisted of 2 guys and 6 girls who were on a budget.
We didn't all sleep at the same time because many of us were up with Molly at one point or another.
We chose to splurge on bottle service rather than a room which we were barely in.

Ie: see trip report.

This is ridiculous. They don't care one bit. They will give you the keys, no need to tell them.

I'll be in Vegas in 2 weeks with my buddy and our wives. We always used to play the .50/$1 games with them at Bill's. I've read somewhere that the new Quad runs it sometimes.

What are my options for .5/$1 NL or even $2/4 LHE?

Thanks!

MGM has 2/4 LHE pretty regularly.

2/4 LHE is practically non-existent on the Strip from what I've seen (other than what Mayo said) but off-the-Strip poker rooms typically have multiple tables running for it. If you can't get in a game at the MGM, the closest next option would be The Palms (The Rio is technically closer but I've never seen 2/4 there).

Ballys had a $3/$6 game last time I played poker there (a few years ago). Seemed to run regularly and was made up of nitty locals. The kind that frown upon drunk Irish and Americans "kids" who play every hand blind, raising it anytime its possible.

When they can get a game going, the Quad has been running 1/2 NL.

For 2/4 LHE, Flamingo almost always has a game going. MGM not as consistent, but the only other possibility on the strip.
