If its on the strip yes, the rent is ridiculous so they have to charge more, if its off the strip the prices should be comparable to where you live.

I should add that if you're in LV you shouldn't be eating McDonald's.

Agreed.
I never understood why people always flocked to McDonald's in Las Vegas. Comfort food maybe? Assume its cheaper? Too lazy to look for better? There are so many better alternatives for the same, if not, cheaper.

Suspect I know the answer to this already but figured it's worth a shot so can't hurt to ask.

Arrived on Friday and been staying at the Tropicana. Checking out this.morning though then staying at Harrahs for a week with the GF who flies out today. Question is though: She was the one who booked it on her card and not meeting her at the airport until half 6 tonight so obviously won't have the card. Is there any chance they'll let me check in for her so I can dump stuff in the room early if I can answer questions about the booking or something? Failing that is there at least somewhere safe to leave my luggage there?

If your name is not on the reservation then more than likely it's a no. You can always keep your bags with bell hop, than pick them up when she arrives.

You can leave bags at any hotel's bell desk, and if you're staying there just call from your room and they'll bring them up to you. Tip obv.

Fast food is usually a little more than off the strip. Like you can't get $1 drinks at McD's on the strip, Subway doesn't offer $5 subs, and places add 20 or 30 cents to the price of some items. That sorta thing. But it's not horrendous. It's not worth getting in the car and driving to pay $7.50 vs $8.25 for your fast food meal.

Question: I want to visit Denver and also spend a couple days in Vegas. Would leaving my car in a valet somewhere and flying from LAS to DEN and back be a reasonable plan? I'm talking like 3-4 days in Denver so like 6 nights total in the valet.

About tiping floormen in vegas:
Is it "legal" or should it be done discreetly?
What different situations warrant a tip?
should i tip a floor that goes get my chips? I usually go get em myself though...

Floormen don't usually get chips, but chip runners do. I prefer to get my own chips
and hate it when they get them for you. You can also request (at places that have them) that they carry the chips to the cage and cash them out for you. I never do this. You can tip them or not and the tip is usually $1. I have never tipped the floor (or brush), but I have read (here) that some have tipped to get "better or quicker" seating.

I've never ridden a bike to a casino, but off of the top of my head I do recall seeing bike racks in casino parking garages. Typically they are near where the elevators are or where you walk out of the parking garage to get to the casino on the lower level.

youre really better off just renting a car, esp this time of year when its

a. hot so annoying to walk everywhere
