Hey Las Vegas Lifestylers,

I troll here a litte, taking the wife to Vegas for a quick 2 day trip with about 4 couples.

Were staying at Red Rock, and everyone has rooms so that wont be changing.

What is absolutely a do not miss if your at Red Rock? Is there anything within walking distance from it that we should make sure to do? The whole crew will only be there for like 3 days, mostly drinking, I will hit up the 2/5 NL for sure and were going on Friday - Saturday.

If we want to club a bit, we should get bottle service? Where's the best hanging out and chillin in VIP spot at red rock most of us are double incomers and married but 30-35

thanks in advance for any tips for a fun weekend at Red Rock

Red Rock is great, my favorite place in Vegas. But I'm not a clubber. They do have one called Cherry, no idea where it falls on the Vegas cool-meter.

My "do not miss" at Red Rock is- wait for it- gambling. I'm not really sure what kind of answer you're looking for to this question.

There's nothing of note within walking distance. It's in the suburbs, so there's a generic shopping center across the street with all your standard soulless chain stores/restaurants, pretty much the same thing as every other intersection in off-strip Vegas. You're not far from Red Rock Canyon though if that's your bag.

I found a link the other day showing all the casinos in Vegas daily tournament schedule. I tried to search for it but to no avail. I am wondering if someone could post that link
Thanks

Married couples going to a Vegas casino club? Seems like a huge waste of money if you're not trying to score some tail.

I have about 500,000 yen, (~5k USD).
What's the best way to convert foreign currency in town?
BofAmerica will charge me ~5%, so I'd like to do better than that.

Leave the money in your Japanese bank account and use an ATM to withdraw in dollars after you get to Vegas. Works all over the world for my American checking account so I imagine it would be same-same for a Japanese bank account.

Yeah, they should be happy to help people do that, and Asian visitors aren't a rarity here. But the juice, the juice.

Some people enjoy the music and dancing at nightclubs, or so I've heard.

Yeah. For music and dancing there must be cheaper places than night clubs. I wouldn't know, that's not my bag.

okay, I really don't like going out to clubs because the music is usually crap: bad house/hip-hop/popular/80s stuff.

I went to Lavo last night and it was a cool place but the music was boring unh-tsis, unh-tsis crapola.

Does anyone know of any bars/lounges that play some cool trip-hop/loungy type music? Massive Attack, Tricky, Zero 7, etc. Buddha Bar music....

Anyone?

Can someone tell me how much a pack of Camels is in LV? I'm trying to figure out if it's cheaper to bring my own or get them there.

Thanks.

They can also be had for free at some casinos when you are playing.

About a week and a half ago I picked up a three-pack deal for about ten bucks.

This was at a gas station at Flamingo and Koval after taking advantage of another fine deal:

Two for one slices at the Metro Pizza inside Ellis Island. Wholes pies are two for one as well. This is available on Thursdays.

I'm certainly a pizza snob, and my fresh out of the oven slices were great. Proportions of cheese to bread to sauce were spot on, and the sauce was particularly noteworthy. It's far better than anything I've had on the Strip.

While I was enjoying my food, the line up for the BBQ joint starting forming. There were a couple dozen folks waiting well before the place opened. If anyone has been there, I'd love to hear about it.

Two guys in vegas here for spring break. Any ideas of a good location on the strip to hit up for some good booze times. I'd preferrably like a welcoming environment to mingle with younger women... Heard getting bottle service isnt a bad idea in that case, but don't you usually need like 4 or 5 people for that at least?
