Stage Door is right behind the Flamingo, and there are CVS/Walgreen's/ABC Stores up and down the strip.

Yeah Stage Door for sure. Just go out the south entrance by the cab line and hang a left. It is one block down on the right.

Pro Tip. Assuming you have rolling luggage, check in and unpack your clothes in the room. Take your bag with you to the store. Stock up and haul it back in the bag. Beats the crap out of carrying it.

Pro Tip #2. For you kids out there visiting Vegas on a budget, check the halls around check out time. When the maids come to clean the rooms, they just set leftover beer, wine and alcohol in the hallway. Finders keepers. I have snagged some pretty high-end beer and also smaller bottles of unopened alcohol. Have seen lots of bigger opened bottles, but passed. But if you are desperate......

When in Vegas. Wake up. Drink bottle of water. Open beer. Do 3 S's, roughly 4 more beers. Leave room and go degen. Stumble back at who knows when. Drink a couple more before bed just for good measure.

So I have no problem drinking.

Awesome, we'll hit up Stage Door. Thanks guys.

And yeah, I remember on one Vegas trip in college we snagged a 1.75L bottle of unopened Patron, that was pretty sweet.

We've rented many vacation homes in the last few years (not in Vegas). We've just been given the code to enter into a lock that has the keys in it before. This was in Florida and the owners were from the UK. It's not that uncommon when the owner isn't from the area and they just pay someone to manage the property.

LVH has a summer WSOP special going. $36/night, May 15 to July 30. http://playerrooms.com/

It's not on the strip, but it's close with its own monorail station (useful for getting to the strip, not so useful for getting to Rio).

Is the monorail station there setup where it would be same late at night?

I know the area around LVH isn't great, but if the monorail is gated off and goes directly into the hotel it would be fine.

Take a gander at the birds-eye view on maps.google.com. It's the best-located monorail station of any of them, front and center of the hotel. It's what all of the stations should have been. On the strip, the monorail stations are all stuck way in back.

But that does bring up one downside... the hours of operation suck. 7am to midnight on Monday, 7am to 2am other weekdays, 7am to 3am Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. So if you're a late nighter, and don't party until the sun is well up, you may be cabbing back to LVH at 4am.

From my research, it doesn't look like any poker rooms in Vegas have prop players. If the games are struggling so much, why is this? Do I have a chance if I just talk to a room supervisor and ask?

It amazes me that poker rooms still existt, honestly.

They make almost noting for the casino compared to clubs, table games, restaurants, entertainment venues

Casinos don't care enough to hire prop players. The best you'll do is a discounted hotel room

I think i remember vaguely someone telling me that the orleans has props. Or at least did at one time.

that said:

1. the games are not struggling...

2. being a prop player in vegas would be a terrible deal even if the opportuinity were available. In a venue like vegas, the great game selection is so valuable that the small hourly you would earn as a prop simply is not compensation enough to give it up.

Good point on the prop players. I think I remember one reason they built the poker rooms was to not lose high stakes gamblers that saw poker on TV and wanted to give it a shot. Would be worth building entire poker rooms for a few big whales.

Staying at PH this weekend. Looking for Mexican food Thursday night.

Is Tacos El Gordo worth the trip, or would China Poblano's Mexican menu be fine?

China poblano is excellent and you can stick with just Mexican dishes and have plenty of variety

Not sure where to ask this, and know its not worthy of its own thread,i will try and be brief, and to the point. I moved to Vegas 2 weeks ago,had every duck in a row, accept the most important one my need for med mj. I am a stage 3 liposarcoma survivor, and flat out need to smoke. I have had no success here yet, called a Dr and after about $545 between consultation, state fees, they still dont provide you with or where to obtain meds. I have an active Mi medical mmj card. If someone would be willing to help me out,or point me in the right direction,i would be very appreciative. I am very active in the HORSE RACING THREAD in the Sports Betting section of 2+2,and hope i have established a name enough there that people know im a stand up guy. If someone is able to help please contact me by by PM here,be happy to give my phone number as well. I appreciate the time fellas, and to be honest i feel like a moron that its come to this point for me. Thank you

Honcho
