if you're already keeping such meticulous records, why not keep track of the location?

Yep, obviously. These things should be obvious. Obviously.

Thanks all.
Probably play the 3-6 limit at Bally's. During our time there, Bellagio is running its WPT event...does this mean less tables for the ugly sister?

Serio- I know. I know. I just don't have the roll for sustainability (nor the skill.)
I mostly just enjoy drinking and playing EVERYSINGLEHAND.

Cheers all.

Funny, that's exactly how I play limit. It's a great strategy, I got quad queens once and won the high hand. PROVEN WINNING STRATEGY.

not really... the WPT stuff at the B attracts a higher stakes crowd than frequents ballys.

If the ugly sister isnt getting any action, it will be because its mid may, and poker tends to be generally slow in vegas at that time of year.

Of the independents, Venetian will usually have a 4/8 game.

Mirage often gets 3/6 games. Bellagio often has 4/8.

Check bravopokerlive.com or their smart phone app before you hike to a room to see if they have going what you want to play.

As for Sierra Nevada... dunno. I can show you a map showing which casinos are Coke and which are Pepsi, but I haven't seen any similar displays of who serves what beers. ( http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/coke-or-pepsi.htm in case people really care.)
The m resort has 2/4 limit running every day and the largest beer selection anywhere. There's a free shuttle from fashion mall . Not sure of times though.

Thanks -- place looks awesome and cheap, but doesn't look like it does pedicures!?! Foot massage might be a solid add-on, but she wants nails done.

Find a Vietnamese neighborhood, or any strip mall. Just Drive Around.

My dream came true, and the Air Force has decided to send me to Vegas for a year. Is there a thread somewhere on 2+2 where people offer/look for roommates? I'd much rather live with a 2+2er than a military member or some random off of Craigslist.

Also, I COULD NOT BE MORE PUMPED about moving to Vegas.

Mayo,
I would suggest posting a new thread and see if you can catch something since it will most likely be seen by more than the single post in this thread. Plus you can post any details regarding what you want during your stay for a year.

group of english guys, early 20s, in vegas for 8 days next month, where is good place to meet girls? (outside of nightclub scene obv)

potentially same answer - where are popular unlv hangouts off-campus?

(going to clubs with 7:0 guy to girl ratio is going to suck)

You lads will already have a tremendous edge with your accents. Just wander around talking and using your silly words like "rubbish" and you'll be fine.

Be prepared to get there early as hell or be ready to open your wallets a little.

Wondering if there are any deals on the strip for paying poker players an hourly rate as long as they meet a weekly requirement in June? Like a prop player for one of the not as busy rooms

Hotel rates from 6/19 - 6/23 are doubled from the week before and after. What gives?

I've heard these are effective techniques:

during the day - If you can take the heat, hang out at the pool where you are staying or go to a pool party at one of the other properties (weekends for the parties).

at night - at any of the nicer properties, find the "center bar/lounge" area or one of the bar areas where there are crowds of women and hang out. Good place to strike up convo and go from there...

if you can find a blackjack table with cute girls and no guys you may get lucky. some of them will not be single but some will and it is an easy excuse to strike up conversation without being completely obvious you are scoping them out.

WORD OF WARNING: If you see one or two hot chicks sitting at the bar by themselves playing video poker and not drinking, avoid them they are prostitutes (I'm being serious).

I didn't go to UNLV so can't help you there.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place, but didn't think this warranted its' own thread:

My friend claims he is getting a comped from the Aria for me in a few weeks. Does anyone know how long this process takes (request->approval->confirmation email)? He said it has been approved from his host but hasn't received an official confirmation email. I just want to make sure I am covered.

Thanks in advance

Most of the times when my host books me in at THE hotel at Mandalay Bay I dont receive a confirmation unless I request my host to email me one. If he doesn't want to bother his host he can call up VIP services at Aria and request that they email him the confirmation.

Is your friend going to be there at check in? 99% of the time when a host comps a room the guest who's name is on the reservation has to be there at time of check in to do the check in.

I can honestly say that I think you are not gonna have a comped room at Aria unless your friend is a very very big player.

I get tons of comp rooms, tickets and other things but I have to actually be there to get them. I can't just call up my host and say can you book a room for May 1,2, and 3rd and put it under my friends name but apply the comp to my account.

They only do that if you are a very very big player.
