I'm arriving in LV on Feb 13th (Friday) and leaving on Tue 17th (Tuesday) with few of my friends. As none of my friends are any good at poker, the idea is to mainly party (we're all turning 30 around that time), play golf and hang out at strip joints.

However, if I were to convince my friends to play some poker, do you guys have any suggestions as to which low buy-in (around $50) Hold'em NL donkament we should enroll to? As they're bad players I think playing a donkament would give them at least a chance, and we can anyways do last longer side bets.

Also, any suggestions on coolest night clubs & how to ensure that we actually get in there (without committing to buy litres of vodka / champagne)?

I was in LV some four years ago and then we waited an hour or so in Bellagio trying to get in to their night club - don't want to spend my evening like that. We're staying at Wynn.

Caesars has a better location, so you can go to other casinos easier. MGM is a little out of the way. They're both pretty nice afaik.

What are the key benefits/drawbacks of requesting a casino marker (assume that covering the debt is a non-issue)?

Also, what's the lowest amount for a marker that won't be LOL to the casino? Is there any point in getting one if I'm mostly sports betting or playing 1/2 NL?

I've never heard of anyone getting a marker for poker.

Yea they will not give you a marker directly for sports betting, or when in the sportsbook.

However, there's nothing stopping you from using the chips that get from your marker in the sportsbook and poker room. I've done this dozens of times. It's not like the casino chips you get off a marker are different from the real chips, so there's no way for anyone in the sportsbook or poker room to know that you're a "credit player."

I'm going to Vegas with 5 of my buddies from 14th of February until the 22nd of February. We're not US citizens (from Amsterdam) and might be looking to go to a shooting range or something just for the fun of it. Is this possible at all since we are not US citizens?

Thx in advance!

going this summer for the whole month of july to begin my rotations as a 4th year pharmacy student... i'll be working while my buddies who are coming will be at the wsop.

i'll likely be at this Walgreen's on S Fort Apache Rd (googlemaps link). it's out southwest of the strip.

anyone have an idea if this is a sketchy part of town, above average, or average in terms of crime and citizenry? i'll end up trying to find a place between that store and the strip i think, but was wondering if i was moving into the ghetto.

All you need are the proper US documents. They look like this:

On a Febuary weekday. What area should I visit; to find the most sluts? Pure? That little irish casino with beerpong across from Ceasars? Or downtown? I havn't been to down town fremont street. For someone wanting to catch an STD from some drunken whore. Is fremont the way to go? Thanks.

Please note: Im not interested in hookers. Just drunken sluts.

I got the same thing, mine is good through March so I am using it for the first week of March during the Wynn Classic. Anyone have any idea what type of turnout might be expected for the earlier events?

Also, anyone seen Le Reve? Is it worth the $400 I'll be spending on VIP tickets for the girlfriend and myself?

Downtown is a complete **** hole. I was down there a few days this past week and didn't really see too many groups of girls that weren't with guys. Can't say I blame them for not wanting to walk about the FSE without any guys around. But perhaps it was the nicer weather that brought out more than usual homeless people.

It's fine. The further north you go (while staying roughly clear with or west of Fort Apache) the nicer it gets as you're into Summerlin that way.
As you start going east toward the strip it does look a tad sketchier but it's never that bad at all. It all pretty much looks like all of Vegas does- strip malls, chain stores, and housing developments. It's just the quality of those three things that vary between neighborhoods.

spending 2 nights with 4 mid-20's guys in vegas during march madness. price not really a factor, but deals are appreciated.

our priorities are:
1) solid sportsbook for bball watching
2) pools with *talent*
3) low-ish minimums for gaming
4) near other casinos

i guess i was looking at venetian but i really don't know? any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks
