I did a search but couldn't come up with an answer. Are t-shirts and shorts OK temperature-wise for Vegas poker rooms? Where I usually play I wear jeans/long sleeves even during the summer. I'm not cold-natured, the room is just freezing.

Thanks!

You might find them cold in shorts and t-shirt and will most likely not find them too hot in jeans and sweater.

I dress in layers.

At the start of my session I dress like so:

But by the end of the session I'm like this:

I'm apparently lolbad at the search function: could someone point me in the direction of the threads or (more likely) the username of the guy who posted epic, top-tier comp-using, trip reports?

Kind of depends on the time of year. If it's hot weather outside, expect it to be nearly arctic inside. If it's colder outside, it will be more comfortable inside. And it is ****ing annoying as hell that the casinos do this.

Shorts and a tshirt are pretty standard Vegas poker room attire in summer. If you're going to be walking the strip in July, you don't want to be doing it in a sweatshirt and long pants. But yeah, you may find it chilly at times.

Some Vegas poker rooms are colder than others, but it also changes week by week. Some days one room will have things arctic cold and a week later you'll be unpleasantly warm. I've been in some rooms where I'm pretty sure they started the AC cranking at, like, 6am to get it cold in time for summertime heat. Every day it started down from like 72F and pleasant in the poker room to 66F and freezing right at exactly 6am.

There are also poker rooms that have hot and cold spots. One corner of one table may be pleasant, and the other side is under a vent and catching a breeze and it's freezing. Or there are rooms that are ice cold if one particular door is open and are pleasant if they keep the door closed.

Really, there's no predicting. Keep a hoodie/sweater/jacket/whatever handy. It takes a lot to get me to make a trip back to the car to get another layer, but I probably do it 3 or 4 times a year in Vegas in the summer when I'm not normally toting it around.

I'm trying to plan my next trip to Vegas. I play 2-5 and 5-10 at Aria and the Bellagio. Which weekend would have more traffic in the poker rooms? Here are the options that I've narrowed it down to:

12/13 - 12/16
12/20 - 12/23
1/10 - 1/13 <<<---CES ends on the 11th
1/17 - 1/20
1/24 - 1/27

Maybe it doesn't matter.

I think the first two have the best shot at top traffic. The NFR Rodeo is in town 12/6 to 12/15 then you start to get the Christmas traffic.

This is incorrect. Unless you have a TR Visa card, Caesar's TR Credits expire if no new credits are earned in a 6-month period.

Um, pretty much the opposite of this. December is the slowest month there is, and you won't see the families start coming in for Christmas until 12/23 or 12/24.

Not that it matters much anyway though, you'll always be able to find 2/5 and 5/10 games. But Vegas in general is notably quieter in December.

Would it be against the law for someone to take a photo of a Nevada sports book parlay card (the game odds listed on it) and send that photo to someone outside of Nevada?

Yup, you're looking at 2-4 in the federal pen, minimum. Tack on another year if it's a teaser.

It is official. The Imperial Place will be called "The Quad Resort and Casino". False advertising IMO.
