I found the best deals at hotwire.com. If you rent at the airport you are going to be paying higher taxes and fees than at an off airport company.

Shuttle from airport to downtown less than $10. Cab or bus to strip best way to go.

From google maps here is a Bus route from downtown to the Venetian.

Walk to Casino Center Blvd and Fremont street corner. About 7 mins. (Bus Stop ID: 5461)

Take Bus - CX - Centennial Express towards Centennial Express Southbound. (18 mins, 5 stops)

Get off at Spring Mountain Rd and Mel Torme way corner.
(Bus Stop ID: 2563)

Walk to The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. About 8 mins.

Play poker. About 10 hours.

I was wondering if I could get a general overview of what the low no-limit cash games are like in September, specifically during the weekdays (Mon-Fri)?

I realize that there probably arn't many tourists in Vegas in September, so should I expect most cash games to be filled by regulars?

Any help is appreciated ... just trying to decide if it's worth my time to take a trip and play poker, thanks!

Currently staying at the Aria, and I stepped on/crushed my blackberry headset.

Asked the concierge here who redirected me to their giftshop that sold random earplug headsets, not the one with an integrated mic.

So best place to get a replacement? Nearest Best Buy? Would a Best Buy even sell them? (not from the US so not sure)

Thnx

The closest place to you that should have it is the forum shops that adjoin Caesars. Id be really surprised if you couldnt find it in one of the electronics stores there, but I can't think of a place off the top of my head that im 100% sure would carry something like that.

Closest sure bet i cna think of is fashion show mall. There are plenty of cell phone places three and you shouldnt have any trouble finding what you need.

There's a Frys electronics in town square, which will certainly have it and is about as close as the nearest best buy (which is on flamingo and eastern, about 2 miles off the strip)

Your expectation is that nobody comes to Vegas except for Friday and Saturday? 'Cause, like, nobody comes from further away than LA for a weekend?

It's a tourist Mecca. It's busy all the time. It's busier on weekends. Slowest days, I think, are Wednesday and Tuesday. Monday still has folks left over from the weekend and by Thursday early arrivals are showing up. But there are always multiple NL1/2 games going somewhere.

http://www.lasvegasevents.com/pdf/20...-vegas-faq.pdf 2011 numbers for the 150,000 hotel/motel rooms in the city:
Quote:
What is Las Vegas' hotel occupancy? 86.9%
What is Las Vegas' motel occupancy? 56.0%
What is Las Vegas' weekend occupancy? 90.9%
What is Las Vegas' midweek occupancy? 80.7%

If I am buying 2-3 bottles and beer for my room mid-strip, are the best prices and convenience from stage coach or the Abc store near Planet Hollywood? Or would it be best to get a car service to Lee's Liquor on the way fom the airport to the hotel to stock up?

I know the cheapest would be the casino floor, but I'm supplying the room for a reunion, and we are meeting up, before heading out.

I remember reading (and I thought it was in this thread, but I can't find it) that there is a recomended place to buy liqueur/beer behind the Flamingo.

Using Google maps I found Super Liquors (4080 Paradise Road)
near the paradise road and Flamingo road corner. Maybe thats it. Only a 20 min walk from the strip.

Yes either behind Flamingo, Walgreens or take shuttle to Gold Coast your not going to save a ton of money doing this

indeed.. abc or cvs prices, while inflated, are not that bad. your cheapest will be Lees, but its gonna cost you to get there. certainly non of these strip places can compete in as far as selection, lees south of town center on the strip has a very good selection but is one of there smaller stores.

Yep. If you're content with the limited selection that you'd find at CVS/Walgreens, do that. If you're an aristocrat like myself and want the better stuff, find a way to get to Lee's.
