Getting serious, have you asked what the couple thinks about sleeping on a queen bed? If they sleep on a king bed at home, they might not like downsizing.

Personally, I did not catch the unintended implication.

What are optimal weekday hours to play not during the series?

What are the best hours to play during the series?

I assume, when the series is not on, 11 am - 4pm most be pretty quiet during the week.

What about during the series?

Are there plenty of games going 24/7 during the series, even on weekdays?

anytime that isn't early morning
anytime (seriously, the games aren't that different. you just get a few more drunks on the weekends)
11-4 not during the series, venetian, aria, and bellagio will have plenty of games running. wynn and ceasars will have action as well.
during the series there are a ton of games running mid-day. all of the above rooms will have plenty of games, as well as the rio.
all of those rooms will have plenty of games running thru the series

it would help if we knew what stakes/games you wanted to play

You're probably better off getting two rooms at a next-step-down hotel, that way they can do what they do together and you can do what you do yourself. Get adjoining rooms if you feel like mixing and matching.

Can i bring my laptop to the sportsbook and use the wifi while accessing sportsbetting related sites such as sbrodds and covers? Or will i be told to leave if they see me doing this. And if so, does it apply to every sportsbook such as wynn, bellagio, venetian, las vegas hilton and stations casinos. Or are some casinos more strict than others.

I know on the phone its possible to check information because they dont know what you are looking at. But obviously the screen is small and isn't as good as a laptop. Someone mentioned they saw someone do this at palms sportsbook and no one said a word. And i read someone else mentioned they saw someone with an ipad at the wynn and nothing was said.

I read you are not allowed to be on the phone while waiting on the line to place your wager but does this include just speaking on the phone or does it include using it as well. But if i have my laptop with me when i go and make my wagers at the counter, but i have my laptop closed but with me, would that be fine? I know this is a very silly question but i want to make sure as I can't leave the laptop at a desk since I'm here by myself.

Does Bellagio still do the poker rate? And if they do can everyone in the room count towards the 6 hours of play?

Yea but they advertise it as $99 weekdays when the reality is it's ~200. Also fairly sure one person has to get the hours on their own.

I am thinking about putting up a package for the Golden Nuggets/Caesar's series. I am planning on trying my hand at some of the other limit mtts offered, as I have played online cash, but never played them in a live tournament. Should I be selling these at lower markup than the NL events I plan on playing? No markup? My thoughts are mixed because I don't know soft these events are, although they should be pretty soft knowing the basics/some intermediate strategy...correct? Also, I think I should sell at lower markup because of the lack of experience, but then again, I feel it should still be beatable and fields are smaller (keeping markup the same as NL then). WUG thoughts?

You can't charge markup on these. No player in the world can consistently overcome 20%+ juice/ fees...

I am staying at IP for 10 days starting Monday, I plan on using the $20 trick, is there something specific I should ask for as a "complimentary upgrade"?

Also, when taking a cab, is saying "no tunnel enough"? Should be cab be roughly $15? I would hate to be long hauled.

** I know IP sucks, but it was free for 10 days, might as well use the comps **

ask for a tower near the front and a room on a low floor. the elevators suck so if you can get low enough you can take the stairs. don't expect much.

no tunnel should be fine. $15-$20 range for a cab, depending on what time you land.

i would really recommend looking into how much it would be to stay at harrahs. if IP is free for 10 days, you should have a decent discount at harrah's too. the difference is huge and worth paying for the upgrade.

Dude, the IP will be fine. I am assuming you are not going to be in the hotel that often, and ur just donig it cuz it's free. I think it's perfectly acceptable. Hell, my friends and I stayed there just for the comps and paid 150 for 8 days combined for 3 ppl. It was awesome. I don't know what you can upgrade to in IP. I tried it and got shot down cuz of the way I booked it (ppl later said they still could get it anyway, so might have just been my chick). Just ask if there are any ways you can get an upgrade. I ended up tipping the lady when she said she could get us a free cot that usually cost $30/night. I then asked for a strip or pool view on a high floor.

"No tunnel" should be good enough. He should take you behind IP and drop you off I would think. I got longhauled last time and it cost 20-25 bucks sighs. Question though, if you have the time, why don't u just pay for the shuttle? $15 round trip. Might take a lil extra time to get there and back to airport, but it saves money.

LOL sorry...guess I am an uber nit then. My flights into vegas are always later in the evening and mid morning so I am not in a rush for anything that I can't save money on.

If you're spending $800 on a Vegas vacation from which you get about 40 hours of entertainment time outside your room, you're paying $20 per quality hour for your vacation. Not sure spending an extra hour traveling to/from the airport each way to save $15 is really saving anything.

Vegas vacations cost too much to spend your time waiting for shuttles and buses to "save" $15.

But he's saaavinnngg mooonnneeeyyyy. Seriously, if you're coming to Vegas for entertainment and you're concerned about saving $6 you should just go home. Cause you're gonna complain that the $12 drink you just bought is normally $3 at your bar back home, your $100 meal you could eat at your local Applebee's 2 for $20, etc.

bef strikes me as the kinda guy who would ask to chop a $1 chip when tipping a dealer while playing poker.

Nah, I just don't trust cabbies. I got longhauled the first time I used one, then took one back from stripclub with roomies in 2010 and prolly got longhauled there too. Hate sitting in traffic and watching the meter go up just sitting there. I'm from an area where it's really uncommon to use a cab. In fact, it's mainly broke, ghetto ppl to get to walmart which is 3 miles across town. Maybe if I lived in bigger city where I've used them, I would change my mind. However, I am not a nit when it comes to eating and such, as odd as that is. I feel more comfortable overpaying for a steak than I do possibly getting longhauled by a cabby. I also overtip in pots at poker table and in the pits too. So yes, I am a nit, but also waste money on stuff.

Last time I took a cab (and was longhauled from rio to airport), it was over 20 bucks. Both ways that would have been 40+tip if I didn't know anything like i do now. Shuttle is 15 round trip, plus 1-4 bucks for tip.

I got long hauled last trip, tunnel + freeway to Planet Hollywood $28. I didn't raise a fuss because it was my friend's first trip to Vegas so I didn't want to kill his excitement. I would have raised hell otherwise. It's not at all about the extra $10. It's that feeling that you were used by some random busto scumbag POS.
