Never been to vegas... and i dont know where to go... Hotel and stuff
I feel like playing sit n go and some tournement 100$ less each ... is that possible does that exist?

And i can get for 780$ 6 nights at Boulder Station Hotel and Casino and this include plane tickets

if this suck what do you suggest me

Is there a dress code for strip clubs?
I am gonna be there this weekend for a bachelor's party and we plan to hit up a strip club on Saturday night. It's gonna be damn not.
Can I wear shorts and polo/short sleeve shirt?

No shorts at Rhino I think, and casinos will hold 30% on tournament winnings unless you have some tax number or something that most ppl haven't bothered to get

Which rooms cap 1/2NL at 200NL like a standard online game? I know MGM does but not sure if other rooms are 300+?

How can you tell if you're being (or about to be) ripped off on the cab ride from the airport to a strip hotel? I've heard its not uncommon.

What is a typical fare / journey time?

I read all 7 pages of this. Lots of information, thanks to all the contributers.

I will be in Vegas 8/1-5 with a friend. Gonna be mainly playing some low limit holdem, some low buyin tourneys. Hit up some buffets and then some cheap eats.

We were going to play at Wynn, Bellagio, Mirage, MGM (for 1/2 NL). Any places we should definitely visit? Is Mirage or Bellagio a waste of time?

My friend and I will have a car, so we'll be driving, if that helps.

if you go through a big tunnel you got ripped off

if you go directly to your place then you didn't get ripped off

When Bill's Gambling hall was still the Barbary Coast, there was the Victorian Room where I got a 10$ steak and eggs etc between midnight and 7am, anyone know if its still there???

Still there and if you play any table games you ought to be able to charm the floor person into comping you a meal (assuming you aren't min betting).

O'Sheas is $200 as well (great games too), all the others I've played at are max $300.

I don't think Mirage is worth seeing, check out the Venetian instead. Much nicer and cooler things to see (like hot chicks).

I'm going to be staying at the MGM for a week and I'm driving in. How much do I tip the bell service to bring my bags to my room? Do I tip them when they take my bags from my car and when they arrive at my room or just once?

tip the guy a couple of bucks when he gives you the ticket then tip a dollar per bag or so at the room

I'm heading to Vegas for my 21st at the end of the month, and I had a couple questions...

1. Best place to play 2/5NL?
2. I've booked rooms for my first four nights, but the last two are up in the air. I found ridiculously cheap rooms at The Orleans for those last two days ($29/night on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend). Is it a total dive, and am I better off paying more to stay somewhere on the strip?
3. If I stay at The Orleans, roughly how much is it going to cost me per cab ride to the strip? I think it's about a mile off the strip, so probably no more than two miles to any room I'm going to want to play at.

i´m coming to vegas on december with some friends, and some of them don´t want to pay much for a room, so what´s a better choice close to the strip harrahs or ip? harrahs is $230 more for week, but it´s worth it compared to ip.
any hotel suggestions?

Kos,

Orleans is fine. The Orleans poker room is full of bad locals. You might want to play a little there as well. Cab far to the strip should be $10 (depending on where on the strip you are heading).

Harrah's is nicer, but if cost is your most important consideration, then IP wins.
