Show up for the buffett and poker games on the 3rd, there will be groups leaving for clubbing, other activities, etc. I know I'm in charge of the RIO VooDoo Lounge VIP outing, so if you show up, you're more then welcomed.

Slots-A-Fun which is in front of Circus Circus has very cheap BJ. Maybe even 1$ (not sure).

Bellagio cafe is by far the best of the 5 or so places i have tried. I usually eat a meal post-midnight every day and they have tons of good options compared to places that serve only a reduced menu

Not once. Terrace Pointe Cafe at the Wynn is the best. Clearly. Undoubtedly.

I'm looking to stay a month in Vegas starting sometime in August. Is anybody who has a house there and needs another roommate? If there isn't anybody who needs a roommate, I'm looking for 3-4 other people and rent a semi-baller house for 3-4k, just for a month. If so, just PM me or hit me up on AIM= FATUBER

I don't know if it is the best place to look but give http://vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner) a try.

Just ask housekeeping for a cot after you check in.

Coming next week (just in time for the end of the WSOP, woo) and will have some time during the day to play cards (wife is with me so nights are out).

My go-to room is MGM because of the mostly fishy 1/2 NL play I've experienced over time.

I love the Wynn's room but in my lone experience there, *I* was the fish (I did win $70 tho)

Heard good things about P-Ho's new room ... where is the recommended daytime card room on the strip these days?

I am currently planning a trip to Vegas in mid August with my wife. Neither of us has much of a clue about Vegas, so I am hoping to get some help here. Our flights are fairly expensive, so we are hoping to keep the rest of the trip fairly cheap where possible while still enjoying ourselves. A few questions that I have:

(1) We are booking through a travel agent, and the hotels they are suggesting are The Mirage, The Signature at the MGM, Luxor, and Monte Carlo. They do have most of the other hotels, but these are the ones they suggested. We are leaning towards The Mirage at this point. Any big pros/cons to this decision, or suggestions for a much better hotel at a similar price?

(2) What is the approximate walking distance between the strip hotels, say from the Wynn to the Bellagio?

(3) We are thinking about taking in the Phantom show at the Venetian. Anybody have any good/bad reviews?

(4) We are looking at taking a tour to the Grand Canyon. Would like it to be in the <$150 range. Any suggestions?

(5) Are there any casinos with table games at $5 and under. Would probably like to play some Blackjack/Roulette, but hoping to avoid the $15 table minimum I faced on my trip to Montreal.

(6) Are there any decent daily/weekly tournaments with a good structure and a low buyin (~$100)?

I know that is a lot of questions, but as I said we are pretty clueless about this. Any and all help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

while i don't have a lot of experience staying in hotels here, out of all the casinos that my friends have stayed at, the one that stuck out the most for value for your money was the Flamingo, but again, that's second hand experience

(2) What is the approximate walking distance between the strip hotels, say from the Wynn to the Bellagio?

it's a long walk, maybe 20-30 minutes depending on your walking speed. there are some places on the way that have water sprayer tents you can walk through if you come out in a hot month. one thing you have to remember is that everything in vegas, especially on the strip, looks a hell of a lot closer than it really is.

(3) We are thinking about taking in the Phantom show at the Venetian. Anybody have any good/bad reviews?

i've heard both. you have to remember that it's the Phantom and not the Phantom of the Opera. it's more condensed and not as good as the real show. i've heard mixed reviews but no one has never not liked it.

(4) We are looking at taking a tour to the Grand Canyon. Would like it to be in the <$150 range. Any suggestions?

there are tons of places down on the strip that have deals, just shop around.

(5) Are there any casinos with table games at $5 and under. Would probably like to play some Blackjack/Roulette, but hoping to avoid the $15 table minimum I faced on my trip to Montreal.

Slots-a-Fun down across from the Riviera is pretty much exactly what you're looking for. super cheap table games and gigantic hot dogs too.

(6) Are there any decent daily/weekly tournaments with a good structure and a low buyin (~$100)?

i think Planet Hollywood has a good lower buy in tourney, sorry i can't help you better with this, but i don't play tourneys.

there is more than one right answer to all these questions so don't rely just on what i say, i'm sure some others can chime in with suggestions as well.
