I'm at 75%. There are websites out there that track it by hotel, but 75% seems to be the norm.

It also depends on what you call a success. A view of the strip isn't success imo. I don't go to Vegas to look out of the window of my room for more than 10 seconds.

sometimes i do the $50 trick if i'm staying say over a week.

but like the others mentioned, be sure it's an actual upgrade instead of a room with a better view. go to the hotel's site and find out about what types of rooms/suites they have. http://www.frontdesktip.com has lots of success stories

Im staying at Treasure Island July 13-16th, just a few questions:

1) Where is the fishiest 1/2 NL games on the strip?
2) Is there anywhere with low limit BJ/Roulette ~5$/hand?
3) Any good cheap meals (~$10-15/meal)?
4) Best ~$50 tourny
5) Is Treasure Island nice?... is it walkable to the Rio?

Right there at TI. Kahunaville is that much or less, and the Mexican place is generally 12-18. If you play in the poker room, food comps are $2 an hour, which makes it a downright bargain to eat right there in the hotel.

Answer to 4 is arguably TI as well. They are $65 compared to the cheaper and deeper Sahara tourneys, but you'll waste that difference in cabs, not to mention the Sahara is depressing.

TI is a very convenient, compact (no mile-long walks like Mandalay Bay or Bellagio) place that is usually priced too high for me to afford as much as I would like.

I believe there's a "day of show" box office in LV that you can get cheap (up to 1/2 price?) tickets the day of various shows. Is this correct?

Do they sell Cirque shows like this or should I just buy these full price online in advance of the show?

Where's a good place to do currency exchange?

I have £2K which I plan on exchanging before leaving for Vegas, and my local bank will give me about $3750 for it (GBP -> Norwegian Kroners -> USD), while xe.com tells me $4K with current rates.

Should I be expecting to eat over $200 however I do this, or do you guys have any good tips?

As long as they don't contain controlled substances (e.g. anabolic steroids, amphetamines, etc.), you should be fine. Having the bottle they came in (which has the ingredients) is a big help.

Yes, but American phones use a different frequency to the rest of the world, so check if your phone can roam to the US.

I've never had a problem traveling with pills at all. If they are in normal vitamin/supplement bottles you should be fine. I'd only be worried about traveling if you have drug convictions in your country, because then they will probably check your stuff and it could be a hassle.
