Looking for the best burger on the strip. How is the Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay? That is one of the ones that came up when I did a google search.

I'm looking at either MGM for 4 nights & Luxor for 2 nights or Excalibur for 6 nights. Any help/tips would be appreciated.
MGM's pool rocks probably do that

My favorite is the Widowmaker at TI in the Cafe. Planet Daily's in PH has a great burger as do most of the cafe's in the casinos.

I do not remember how many bedrooms. The site said the renter was trusted. But of course, is the site?

if the site is craigslit probably no.

I know of some sites that do some limited vetting on their advertisers, but none that actually endorse them as "trusted"

It's at the bar at Bradley Ogden. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'd put Burger Bar roughly on par with BLT Burger. Bradley Ogden is better than both.

The Harrah's properties don't. Some of the other hotels charge up to $20+tax per day. Depending on the deal you get this might increase the room rate by more than 50%. I consider this a a scam.

Copy+paste from my confirmation e-mail from Aria:

For your convenience a $22.40 daily resort fee (includes applicable tax) will be added to your room account and includes the following hotel services: In-room Internet, Campus-wide wireless Internet, In-room local and toll-free calls, Fitness Center access, daily newspaper, and airline boarding pass printing.

As a tourist I really appreciate the free newspaper and in-room local calls. Also like the line "for my convenience".

Bill Engvold has a great routine about hotel convenience charges.

From what I understand, The Trop's is only $9 a day.

if you REALLY wanna go on the cheap, there at least used to be a relatively dumpy hotel /motel across the street from the Hard Rock that would be pretty awesome to stay at if you wanted to party there.

I did it once. You kinda feel like you're staying at HR but you aint LOL

no... because the race is in two weeks, not one. otherwise, most places will put it on for you if you request it.

spendier than fast food, not terribly spendier than a fuddruckers if i'm assuming correctly that fuddruckers is in the applebee's and fridays range. definitely not spendier than bradley ogden, which yes is in caesars. but if i remember correctly the burger is a special on the bar menu which means it isn't 40 bucks or anything like that. remember that these places are on the strip so there's an inherent tax that goes into that. it's not like you're getting a burger fries and soda for under 15 regardless of where you're going outside of the osheas burger king.

i've never been to fuddruckers, but that's not because i'm above it or anything. been to plenty of fridays and the like. there just aren't any where i used to live or close to where i hang now.

fudruckers is the winner as far as value for your money.

all of these high-end strip burger places, they just aren't that great. half of the time the fries come out luke warm (indicating they are not cooked to order) and the burgers are often overcooked. they are just not worth the money. these places are meant to take advantage of the unsuspecting tourists who walk by hungry.

the chefs at burger bar et al are putting in about as much effort (or maybe less) than the people cooking up burgers at in-and-out.

KGB burger (simon's place) sucks horribly and is near the bottom of the totem pole. they have captain crunch milkshakes, though
