The problem is that JoB is -EV even with cashback.
For someone looking to play VP perfectly, go to
www.zamzone.com and get their WinPoker software. It has a training mode that will show you the perfect play for every VP game.
I prefer DDB and my GF learned JoB. I haven't paid for a room at a CET property in 10+ years and get generous food comps. What to keep in mind is that while playing, you are getting "free drinks" as well.
I've hit 4 royals and multiple quad A's etc... which is near even in the long run, but definitely +EV in comps, especially if you like to get your drunk on.
Another quick note is Harrah's has a credit card that you get 1 tier point for every dollar spent. My electricity provider gives me 1 air mile on AA for every dollar spent. So I obviously pay all my bills with the CC because this also prevents your points from expiring.
