I am intending to spend a spa day with my girlfriend.
What is a good place for massages?
What is a good place for a manicure, pedicure, hair cut, facial, the works?
(preferrably available without an appointment or on short notice)

I will be staying at the MGM from 28th of June till 9th of July. I'm a Vegas virgin, so here goes:

- I have a friend accompanying me. He plays poker but only from time to time and has a small budget. I once heard that Vegas has casino's that offer .5/1 NLHE games, I checked on www.allvegaspoker.com but these games don't seem to be running anywhere anymore, the minimum is 1/2. Is this correct, and if not, where can I find lower games?
- Which clubs have decent electronic music (like house for instance)?
- Which clubs are nice to pick up girls?

Thanks for your answers to my undoubtably noob questions

You could teach your friend how to play short and have him buy-in for $80-$100. Or there's always $2-$4 limit.

one thing i did in the past was play v small tourneys with friends on a budget.

i think hoooters had a 20 dollar tourney and so did gold coast. there was a 50 or 70 tourney i forget way up on the top end of the strip, sahara i think which is like 45 plus 20 dollar rebuys

those are fun for low stakes

someone younger can tell you more about nightclubs but i think some of the best are

pure

wheres the best Gun Range in Vegas? I want to go somewhere where I can get instruction rather than just randomly shooting?

frontsight.com

It was supposed to become a master-planned community for gunheads. It's having a little trouble in that regard, but I think the range is operating as normal. Never been there so I can't comment on how good or bad anything is.

I'm on the worst downswing of my life due to me being a tiltmonkey completely and haven't been playing well. That said I've got VACATION!!!! coming up in a little over a week and like 25k in uncashed full tilt checks. Like a full month off vacation. The wedding I thought I had to go to is delayed and I'm considering a last minute trip to my first world series to play in a couple events like the 5k 6max the 26th, the 2k the 27th, and the 1500 the 28th. I've heard the cash games there are great a lot of the time and think I could do well playing 5 10 PLO.

I'm really up in the air on this last minute trip but looks like I could get 5 nights hotel and round trip flight from nyc for like 1k no problem at a decent casino. I figure at worst I lose 9k playing tournys and a few at cash games (or mabye make my tourny losses back?) and at best who knows? That said I don't think I've played 1 tourny all year hahaa and have been playing terrible lately but still up a kind of decent chunk on the year. So what you guys think? Nothing to do gamble it up? Or grind back the cash games online and go somewhere and just have fun and party like San Diego or something?

don key,

Try playing in satellites for your tourney entries. Otherwise, your plan sounds full proof to me.

Timor,

O'sheas has cheap table games, $1-$5 Spread Limit (Vomit), $1-$2 NL, and $45 Tournaments. They also have an array of beer pong tables set up as well as a small food court. Sounds like it would work well with your friend in mind.

Check out Eye Candy at the Mandalay Bay too. I think it might be something you're looking for.

See if your bank has a branch in Vegas that you can go to.

You might also be able to go to a major bank and ask if you can wire the funds to your bank for, probably charge you an extra fee.

I've only been out golfing once while here, but Desert Pines was pretty solid for the price. I paid for greens fees, a cart, collared shirt, golf balls, golf glove, and club rental for under $200. I was overall pretty happy with the quality of the course. Desert Pines Golf Club

There's tons of great courses in Vegas, so if you are looking for something specific I'd look around google. Whatever you do, book the tee time NOW, as Friday morning rounds are going to be popular tee times.

I honestly have yet to wire my money to a casino that would wire it back. Always had to take cashiers checks or bricks.

I've been to the Spearmint Rhino last year but we didn't go into the VIP. What can we expect there?

Girls and Alcohol. The girls are more willing to sit around and enjoy your company then out near the main stage.

If you mean the ones between the champaign room and the main stage, then I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't expect anything amazing. You still have to pay for dances and since you have to get a bottle to get there they won't be offering you discounts.
