Zam, yes but only on certain floors. Ask when you check in, they will put you on the floor that has the access.

Possibly other stuff too; never had much reason to pay attention.
I think I know the place. It may be a CVS too. They have food, but not a big variety and iirc it's all packaged. No fresh meat or fruit or vegetables, etc.

Safeway.com may deliver, but it may not be easily done in a hotel setup.

I think after 3 or 4 days most people in Vegas will realize what a pain it is to be without a car.

Yes, call the poker room and explain everything. The way the poker rate works is the room is reserved through the normal system, and the poker room adjusts it when you check out.

No, your best price is usually found online.

You can go to a Walmart and get a basic candy bar phone for like 20 or 30 bucks and a pre-paid minutes card for the same amount. If you're a chatty cathy you can get a 1000 minute card for a hundred bucks.

How is parking at the RIO during WSOP events. Is it possible or is there a best place nearby? Is it free?

Thanks

sigh,

regarding wiring money to Venetian

"Cash for a wire transfer is not to exceed 15% of the total amount of the wire."

I guess i'll be flying an obscene amount of cash down with me

If I buy in for (ex.) Event 46 and 47, which start on consecutive days, and I make day 2 of Event 46 (so I am unable to play 47), can I get a refund easily? Or should I wait to see if I make day 2 in Event 46 before buying into 47?

Do they have an upper limit to the number of entrants for some events?

I got some answers from someone who's already playing in the WSOP, so I'll answer my own questions, in case someone is wondering about the same things.

- It's possible to register up until two hours AFTER the tournament has started

- Tournament registration is opened 24/7 and located in the Rio Convention Center, not the Rio itself

- you can simply sell back any ticket for any tournament at the registration if you're unable to play because you're going deep in a previous event

- there's a cap on the number of entrants, but you can still buy in and get on the alternate list, except for shoutout and headsup tournaments.

- You need a Harrah's Total Rewards card before you can register

- Bring ID when you're playing the tournament, you'll need to show it to the dealer

If any of this is inaccurate (probably unlikely), please let me know.

Ill be staying at the Mirage for 2 weeks, has anyone stayed there recently? How hard is it to get yourself into one of the new rooms, and to avoid renovation areas? Do you think 50 bucks could get me in a non reno area new room or do I need to up the bribe lol?

They wouldn't give me cash, just chips. But, I think you could walk directly from the main cage after receiving your wire, to a cage in the Amazon room and cash the chips out right away.

basically the cage wont give you cash, i had a large argument with them

and then i went down to play cash games where cash plays so it was LOL easy to turn it straight into cash

uh well I only did 5k but you can just get $20k in chips from the cage [or whatever amount] go, sit play 10/25 for an hour with however much you want, then when you rack up take all the chips from your pocket and cash them all out in the Amazon Room.

Alternatively you could go to some of the bigger limit cash game tables where cash plays and just ask some guys to do you a favour and swap chips for their stacksk of 100's, I'm sure some people will help out

Thats good advice, I think I am gonna wire 20k to rio and try one of those ideas.

Then I'll fly down with some just in case/spending money.

Thanks man.

rio chips weren't good at bellagio last year AFAIK (or maybe they were but they had to call to verify some BS). bellagio chips are good everywhere. i'm sending my money to the bellagio.

Might be too late, but only the Mandalay location shaves you there. The Fashion Show store just sells the razors and accessories.
