GO rooms at Flamingo are nice and ask for one where you can see the Bellagio fountains.

I don't know Bally's.

Friends saw a dirty hypnotist show and said it was hilarious. They don't remember the name. Only one I've seen listed is Marc Savards Mesmerized. Is this good/funny? Is there another show worth checking out?

Anyone stayed at the Aria? I'm looking to stay there for 2 weeks this summer and the reviews I've read are quite mixed.

-the regular rooms are bigger than the ones in other hotels.
-"courtesy" upgrades (tipping, ...) don't seem to be available.
-cool gadgets in the room to turn things on/off from the bed
-request a room closer to the elevators, the long walk can be tough after a long day

food
----
-in general, prices are comparable to the bellagio
-buffet was good, but we preferred bellagio's
-their snack shop (skybox cafe?) has more selections than bellagio's but once again, we preferred bellagio's
-lemongrass was very good but pricey, obv
-monte carlo's food court is about 5 minutes away, as mentioned in another thread

Cheapest Golf??

Myself and two friends have booked a hol to vegas and were wondering where the cheapest round of golf would be (considering we stayin on the strip) and how much we should expect to pay (total - including bag and club hire)?

I have checked out various comparison sites but was wondering if anyone had any experience / tips on this?

Anthony Cools is a hypnotist show that I've heard is good. I think he's at Paris or Bally's.

Also there's some english dude named Luke Jermay and his show is called Mental and that's at O'Shea's I believe. Haven't heard anything good or bad about that.

Flamingo is $235 for a Tuesday. What's happening on the 4th May? Or is anything to do with Cinqo de Mayo?

Hey everyone quick question:

Anyone have any advice of where to look for summer jobs?

I'm going to be in Vegas on summer break from grad school and would like to find a job mainly just so i'm not bored constantly (I'm not moving to Vegas thinking that it will be easy to find a job etc etc. in before "don't move here thinking you're getting a job")

I've applied to a bunch of pool jobs (pool attendant, cabana host, pool cocktail waitress etc) and a handful of internships.

Just seeing if anyone has any idea of jobs / locations that would have summer jobs.

Thanks!

And by "locations" I mean different places in Vegas, not "NYC" "California" etc. :-p

Thanks again!

you can apparently make some pretty good money as a wsop dealer if you know how to deal (especially if you know all the games).

i imagine a search of the B&M forum would yield some info on this.

Aside from that -- summer is really slow in vegas -- so there arent too many seasonal type summer jobs.

if youre gonna use roadrunner to get chinese food just have them get you pei wei... basically the same food as pfc (same company) and the prices are more reasonable.

edit: hm thats weird it looks like the deliver pfc but not peiwei.

but ultimately, its all academic. because they deliver the best chinese food in christendom... Panda express.

Cheers. We were going to visit mexico but decided against it. Looks like Mexico is coming to visit us now instead.

Booked the IP instead, $44 for the night with $35 credit for food.... I feel sick just thinking about it.

If the Flamingo is $235 on a weekday I promise you that Cinco de Mayo has nothing to do with it. Random absurd weekday rates are almost always convention-related.

Can anyone offer quick advice on finding cheap flights to vegas from the east coast? Only flown there once (out of dulles) and seem to be having a really tough time finding a reasonable non-stop flight in early august (obv primetime)-- something like $400 cheapest for non-stop and like $250 for connecting flights.

Expedia/Travelocity? Book now/later? tips/advice?

pretty nubs, i know.

Southwest? Avoid Fout on Friday home on Sunday.

Do it early. 250 for a 1 stop is not bad

At Bally's ask for a North Tower room. They are supposed to be newly remodeled and nicer then the basic South tower rooms. The $20 trick did work for this during my trip back in December. The gal even gave us a nice coupon book and a few other things if I remember correctly.

Does anyone know if the $20 trick works at the MGM signature to get Tower 1? Or would a simple request to be put in that tower work?

Thanks.

I am going to LV the weekend of May 21 to May 23. Me and a small group of friends age 22+ looking to get down at clubs and bottles. Freshly graduated looking to have a good blacked out time, can anyone help a fellow 2+2er out?

Going to Vegas this Wednesday through Monday for girlfriend's 30th birthday. Her sister and sister's husband are meeting us there, so four of us total. It's been a while since I've been out partying in Vegas - last few trips have been pure gambling.

Saturday night is the big birthday night - I have reservations for us at Tao for dinner, then heading to TI for Mystere at 9:30, but not sure where to go after that. I'm not baller enough for table service at XS and am doubting we will be able to get in just waiting in line with the regular folk. Looking for a good club to go to after Mystere that's easy to get to from TI and that we have a decent shot at getting into waiting in line (doubting this is possible at that time of night) or with front of the line passes. Or I guess if there are decent table service prices ($400 for a bottle for 4 of us - is that even possible?) that might work too. Any suggestions?

Also - any good outdoor lounge suggestions for Friday night? Like I said I haven't been out in Vegas in a while so I only know of Voodoo, Ghostbar, and Mix's balcony.

Thanks!

cue the food snobs to hate on SS too, but i was just picking the closest oriental place that isn't horrible like tao.

Damn that's disappointing to hear. I read it was pretty good. I might browse to see what else is around and good.

We're not wedded to Asian food for dinner that night, so I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any (I guess it doesn't have to be close to TI - we're staying at MGM so somewhere around there would work too then we could cab it to TI). I browsed some of the restaurant threads already but don't have time to look it over again until tomorrow.
