For sure. Been using them for years. Almost always cheaper and they don't give you the tricky "before taxes and fees" price. The price you see when choosing is the total price.

I've gone to Costco for years and never knew they rented cars. Is it only in Las Vegas? Only particular stores?

What he said. I've never tried their flights or hotel rentals.

Another great thing about them besides the original quote being the real price is that you don't have to put in a cc when you reserve. So I usually book as far in advance as I know I'm traveling then check every week or so to see what the prices are doing. It's super easy to cancel and rebook when the prices go down.

I learned a trick a couple of weeks ago re:rental cars. I was booking an extended rental for an employee who could pick up on Friday or Saturday, didn't matter. If we picked up on Friday, for a 3 week rental, it was $200 cheaper than picking up on Saturday. So a day longer, 200 less, because we picked up on Friday. Played around with it a little and it seems it wasn't a glitch but a universal truth, lol. Never pick up on Saturday unless you have to.

Hey there awesome people of 2p2

I am interested in visiting Vegas this year primarily to play SNGs during my stay. I strictly refer to cash payout ones because I heard sats are pretty hard to convert into cash) I have questions regarding the traffic during May-August. So if you have some experience with this it would ber really helpful if you could answer to any of the following questions:

- What stakes run predominantly?
- What venues run SNGs regularly?
- Do they run in every month? (May June July August) Which months are better than others?
- Is there a no-brainer venue which runs most or all the SNG traffic?

Any other useful information regarding this topic would come handy.

I wish you a great day,

I dont think anyone runs SNGs anymore in Vegas. You'll only find them during WSOP and I heard they no longer allow you to sell SNG markers for cash.

The only SNG's in Vegas were the single table satellites at the WSOP. Word is those will not even exist this year.

Survivor tournaments might be your only option. But they don't run too often at Venetian and Wynn.

No, short deck is the dumbest game ever and its seems mostly the dumbest people how on the bandwagon- " Blah, blah, blah You love every hand. Blah, blah, blah its so great because if blah, blah, blah what hand don't you love etc " It got some what popular(More than mixed games and slightly less than PLO) a year or two back and I always heard the same dumb **** from the same dumb people and when I watched the games it was a bunch of bad regs trying to nit it up and cooler someone. No action (The main thing people claim it offers) and no appeal. What does it have that NLH doesn't?....People who want to play it. Bunch of bad regs who simp on high stakes games tried to hope on a band wagon so they could play pretend(insert high stakes macau player) and thought they could have an edge over some "fish" they rope into the game. It remined me of when someone is an addict and they try to get someone into their drug of choice so they can mooch drugs of them while they are in the "honeymoon" faze but before they blowout completely. Found it very annoying.

Actually, The Ventian has made the 3K survivor the backbone of their tournament series. Basically replaced their daily, they have a new bounty variant that makes it less appealing IMO.

staying on the strip. We're a bunch of Europeans in our 30s, in case that has an influence. I just mention it cause i think many places will ask for higher prices if you're under 25.

main goal is a cheap price, but it has to be somewhat convenient. taking an uber for 15min to save a 100 bucks is fine, but riding a bus for 3 hours to save a little money isn't
There is a peer to peer rental car service called turo.com they also have an app. You rent someones personal car, it can sometimes be cheaper or more expensive depending on what kind of car you want. The nice thing is you can typically find a specific car if you want that. Another good benefit is if you are thinking about buying a specific car you can rent one here for a few days to really get the feel of owning one. The down side is you have to deal with individuals who make a "business" in the gig economy so that is rarely hit and usually miss.

regular tournament, mincash winners only win 1.5x their buyin, and overall winner wins 100x the buyin. very top heavy.

survivor tournament, everyone who cashes wins the same amount, something like 8x buyin or 10x buyin.

winning 10x buyins for a mincash is pretty sweet. But then of course the tournament just ends, so there's no final table or trophy to the winner or anything like that.

Late to the car rental discussion but highly recommend autoslash and have been using them to find the best car rental deals. I saved several hundred bucks using it for my summer trip last year.

I'm wanting to give Turo a shot at some point, but our business cc, which we use for the insurance, doesn't insure the cars on Turo.

Thinking about another poker trip to Vegas with a buddy. He wants to stay at a Caesars property.

Caesars has a poker room, but I can't find anything on 2+2 about it. What am I missing?

I just assume that's our best option.

We'll also be doing cigars, burgers and bourbon. Same as our last trips to Aria/Bellagio.

Caesars has a poker room, two cigar stores, and Old Homestead has a good burger.

Bellagio is next door.

Unless there are other criteria... Horseshoe is basically across the street and cheaper, but besides that I'd pass. PH has a burger place and is closer to Aria, but no poker room.

Thanks.

Any idea why they have no room thread in Venues & Communities?

Caesars is a basic room with 1/2 and some nights there will be 2/5. Nothing really about the room to discuss anything.
