I'll be doing a 4 night stay later this year, prob early November due to work schedule. Only been to LV a few times, always on the strip, mostly there working trade shows. Middle age guy, married and Will be traveling alone with #1 itinerary item lotsa cash game poker. I want to visit Fremont St, spend a little time at Binions, see the overhead light show and do some people watching. Any other recommendations? I have a boring palate but always open to " you must stop at (fill in the blank) for (a drink/the music) because the (atmosphere/crowd it attracts/servers/view/loose slots/show) is like nowhere else."

Thanks for any suggestions you care to make.

This. Vegas Chinatown is basically a series of strip malls with fancy roofs.

Mob Museum downtown Las Vegas.

Must see. We spent four hours there.

Then a couple of blocks eight minute walk and you are playing 1/2 NLHE (no cap on buy in) at the Golden Nugget.

What's with the shoe pics in trip reports? Is it a vegas tradition or something to post pics of your shoes before you go?

I believe it started when someone's TR had a picture on the airplane to LV which incidentally showed his shoes and he got a lot of grief for the style/age/condition of the shoes.

booking a trip and noticed and all the properties have raised their rates big time. What gives? I thought it would be slow since the wsop would be over but I think something’s afoot. I don’t have a big bankroll so I’m thinking of playing 4/8 at the Orleans and mixing in some tournaments like Aria daily or, if I get up big, the DSE at Venetian. Anyway, was mostly wondering what’s going on that weekend. Apparently it’s a fight weekend, but that just got announced yesterday.

Wife and I want to get a good/great meal Saturday evening with a clear, preferably close up, view of the bellagio fountains.
Price is irrelevant, (above 1k each would) make it a relevant discussion she says) but she thought yellowtail had balcony seating, and it does not. Ideas?

Also, what's the best dispensary between the airport and venetian? Best meaning, not long lines on Saturday afternoon, good selection of edibles and vape cartridges(liquids)

I finally did the Mob Museum downtown a couple of weeks ago -- it was awesome and well worth the cost.

I've never been there but everyone seems to love Picasso and it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

I think Gobbo said once he liked it better than Joel Robuchon and that is some serious praise.

Picasso and Robuchon are totally different experiences, but for a date I would definitely pick Picasso. (And for Robuchon I would travel to Paris)

Not sure if all of the pics still show up, but you'll get the gist. Also may be credited with the term "blasted" as far as trip reports go.

Hi Guys n Gals

Just a quick question to see if anyone may have the info I need without reading 500 pages

Some friends and I are contemplating a trip to vegas next june for a couple of weeks.

We have previously stayed downtown due to lower costs - and we have no problem doing so.

We are wondering if anyone knows of a hotel that may have suites with multiple rooms that are not ball breaking expensive? Just an option to renting 4 or 5 separate rooms.

Are there any hotels (worth staying at) that dont charge resort fees anymore?

Thanks for any help
