That is most definitely not a slow weekend.

I thought the only slow time in Vegas was after the rodeo in December.

I booked a room for 6 nights (Tues-Monday) at the flamingo to have a strip base for a bachelor party where we were renting a house Thurs-Sunday. Ended up that a couple extra guys booked flights for Wednesday instead of Thursday as originally planned so I called flamingo, told them the situation, and they comped me an additional 2br room for one night (Wednesday).

I am a low low low diamond so maybe they will be flexible with you. It can't hurt to call multiple times if you don't get the answer you're looking for.

Has anyone done the Las Vegas Marathon in the past? Course looks fast, but I am kinda worried because it's one of those events that has a huge half marathon field but only 2-3k runners in the full marathon. Also interested to hear how you felt about the 4:30PM starting time. I've never done a distance race that didn't start in the morning.

I'm signed up for the Houston Marathon in January but now it looks like my travel schedule for the couple of weeks around the holidays might prevent me from properly training for that. [Will run Houston anyway, just not with a set goal time.] So I was looking around for fast November races and found Vegas. Any information is appreciated.

also, can't believe I did a "Their/There" typo.

Ended up playing this one on Friday night. 77 runners, I took it down for ~$2400

Just got in to Vegas, I know the ME final table is tomorrow. I was wondering if it's worth checking out? Can you just show up at the Rio and watch?

I remember a couple years back a discussion about non rip-off ATMs on the strip and there was one in the CVS by Monte Carlo.

Is there one anywhere currently ? May run out of USD before going home (travel card so don't get murdered on the Forex, just the local fees where they exist)

Only semi Vegas related...

Has anyone succesfully used flashseats as a non US or CAN citizen?

I am from Germany and bought tickets for some Golden Knights games through stubhub. An account at flashseats is required for transferring the tickets though...
Unfortunately I can´t register at flashseats and support is really slow. If someone has a solution, let me know please. Thanks in advance.

You need to provide a physical address in US/CA to sign up, nobody cares if you are a citizen or not.

Not even sure if they verify that address, but just to be save you can ask a US resident if you can use his/her address and add a 'c/o your name' in address line 2.

I used the wrong word I guess. I meant "resident" instead of "citizen".

Unfortunately I don´t know anyone who lives in the US. I will try to use a Las Vegas Casino adress. Thanks for helping out!

How do you book a hotel in Vegas for 60 days? I ask because most online hotel booking sites only let you book for 30 days. And when I visit a hotel's website they only offer 12 nights.

I would assume you use a non-internet method.

I think at places like Bellagio and Wynn it's 14 days maximum per reservation. I don't think it matters if you try to book online, use the phone or do it in person.

But nobody stops you from making multiple reservations. On the last day of a reservation, you go to the front desk and ask them if you can just stay in that room for your next reservation. I've done that in the past without any problem.

Ahhh, lol, I assumed that I could only do 1 booking. That makes sense now obviously just do multiple bookings. I wonder why they only let us make bookings for several nights and not just how many we want?

You can't book multiple reservations under a marketing discount. I'm not talking about a comp but one of those hey here's a deal for this summer and what not. Ran into this with Aria / Bellagio during this years WSOP. If you're just booking a prevailing rate, then you should be fine.

I don't know if Wynn has a hard 14 day limit, but they do have a 14 night limit if you book using a marketing discount.

Yep, but you can make a reservation under the name of guest A and then one for guest B and nobody stops you from having both reservations charged on the same credit card.

Not sure how you are booking, but when I book through Priceline I always get an email with a link that allows me to to extend the stay for the length of the original reservation, or a shorter time, for the same price.
