Do you know if you can get the poker rate here? If so, is it just at the MGM Grand or does play at other rooms count?

About 95% sure you can't. I'll be staying at MGM sig for the series myself.

Does anyone know if there are "smaller" PLO games running during the series? By smaller, I mean like 5/10 with a 50bb minimum buyin or of similar stakes.

what is a good time to head to the poker rooms (cash games) in the day so you are not stuck waiting a long time on a waitlist? which people are you supposed to tip so that you get bumped up on waitlists etc? how much to tip? how frequently to tip etc etc?

which rooms will spread 10/20? 25/50?

I read here somewhere Binions has a 1-2 PLO. Could be full of some real donks = good payday.

As far as waitlists, your best bet is to just put every poker room's number in your cellphone and call up 20-30 minutes before you intend to arrive to get added. It also gives you a chance to ask what games are spread and how many tables of each.

I'd usually just ask to be added to the waitlist even if I weren't sure I'd be going there so I didn't have to call back. And have yourself added to something like 2/5 or 5/10 which have higher rotations so if you still have to wait for the higher games at least you get some play in and drink service while waiting.

I don't have store names, but you will be able to find something nice at all the major casino malls. Venetian and Caesars both have fairly large shopping malls. You could stop at Fashion Show Mall, also.

I could probably do with some nicer shoes also, though shoe shopping is my number one most hated activity in the world

Is there any chance of me finding a club/bar that plays non-R&B, non-pop, non-pop-hip-hop anywhere in vegas? I'd prefer breakbeat or house or something. Google not helping me.

There's also an outlet mall next to the car rental place by the airport. They list over 20 shoe stores.

I'm looking for cool outside locations to take my dog on explorations. It's best if some sort of water is involved. Willing to drive a ways to get away from it all.

Any suggestions for reasonably priced golf in Vegas? We are looking for like a 6 AM tee time for a Friday June 27th.

I don't know of any poker rooms/tournaments that allow this.

That's funny (ha, ha). It's southern Nevada in July! Last two times I was there in July it was so hot outside during the day that it hurt. I'm not exaggerating. It can stay too hot in the evening too.

Colorado river is probably your best bet. But any place where there is easy access to the water is probably going to have people.
