Because it was Lyft and I was going to tip regardless, I tipped him $2. I normally start off with $5 in mind for a rideshare ride and -$1 for every annoyance or screw up on the drivers part.
I have been using Lyft a lot more lately since I've been playing a lot more at night. I had a promotion where I got $5 off of my next ten rides so I ran through that already this month. It's so much easier for getting to/from strip casino properties. It's also great for ducking the new parking fees.
With all of the rate cuts, the quality of the drivers have definitely gone down. It went from a good mix of locals, to pretty much only retiree aged, ESL locals who do not know their way around town that well. The service is cheap enough however that this shouldn't be an issue. Any issue I've had with my drivers have been minor. Mostly, it's seeing that they're 3 minutes away from you in a very easy to find place (off strip) and it still takes them 10-15 minutes to get to you.
