Like I said I went down and got a chair massage and that really seemed to rejuvenate me. Then I just grabbed a quick burger at Johnny Rockets in the little food court they have. It wasn't even photo worthy Then I went and got on Bally's list, waited around for about 15 minutes then a new game started.

The new game was very limpy and passive for about the first half hour then it got very aggressive. I was chopping around up a little and down a little until the hand of doom appeared.

I am in early position and look down at KK and raise to 10. 2 callers and flop comes KJ2 with 2 clubs. I lead for 20 and aggressive guy raises to 50. I don't want him drawing to a flush or straight for cheap so I shove. He calls and I like that. Until the river anyway. It was a set over set with my KKK vs his 222. And yeah the one outer comes when the 4th 2 hits on the river. Easy come easy go. I was tired and ready to go anyway I just didn't want to go with no chips Hopefully I got all of my runbad out of the way with that hand and start crushing tomorrow.

Enjoying the thread, and nice hand!

However, this 3-bet is waaaay too small. I would make it around $50 here, and there are probably those who would advocate for even a bit bigger.

I just came back from 2 nights at Bally's, played brief late night sessions. The dealers were friendly but the games pretty tame. Run good buddy!

I am not a great poker player but have always felt the weakest part of my game is bet and raise sizing. If I ever want to take the game seriously that is where I need the most work.

Time for my morning hike! I got in 14.1 miles yesterday but still just sticking to a goal of 10. I hope to be leather assing it for a long portion of the day today

I love this. Two live TR’s going on and they cross paths and say hi.

I really like how you get out in the morning and walk to other places. Like you, I also tend to wake up really early due to living in the central time zone, and just not sleeping well in Vegas. I tend to just get coffee and stay around where I’m staying, but I might try and get out like you do when I’m there for March Madness.

Good luck today and keep up the good work.

Just got back from my morning hike looking for time to kill. Once again I logged just over 6 miles. Every day of my life starts with one of these:

The fact that the lobby shop has them is great but the fact that they cost $4 tilts me I can get a case for that on sale back home. But yeah we're not back home. I am not a coffee drinker and this washes the sleep out of my mouth and gives me my caffeine jolt.

Today I headed down to the MGM and then back the other side of the strip. I wandered through all of the casinos along the way and went all the way to the back of MGM including that little underground section, just getting in steps. Along the way I saw this! I always slide a 20 into one of these every trip because you never know! Actually we all know. My 20 lasted about 20 seconds

The morning poker report was a shorthanded game at Bally's, one full table at PH, 2 full tables at MGM, 1 2/5 game at Aria (never seen it so empty) and 1 2/5 and 1 5/10 at Bellagio. By the time I got back to Bally's that game had broken.

On my stroll I also walked back to the arena and checked out the newly lipsticked pig that was once Monte Carlo.

I decided to hit The Henry at Cosmo again for breakfast because it is always good. They do something I think is great. I am a big water drinker and it always seems to be a pain in the ass to constantly be flagging someone down for more water. They solve this problem by giving you a jug and I am surprised more places don't do this.

I wanted a syrup vehicle and my favorite syrup vehicle is French Toast. I told the to hold the berries because you know I am trying to lose weight I never saw so much French Toast in my life! These were gigantic 1 inch thick slices of the biggest loaf you can think of. I only ate one slice and can't imagine the ravenous fat ass that eats them both because I am in actuality a ravenous fat ass.

It was extremely tasty but way too much food for a human. If it were only one slice you would think damn that's a lot of French Toast. Anyway try to figure how to kill time until the 1:10pm $400 Monster Stack at Venetian. Probably a waste of money but I do love tournaments. 30K starting stack with good structure. Maybe I'll finally get into a tournament where they respect my raises I don't want to burn myself out playing crappy morning games. Maybe I'll kill some time in the morning donkament? Damn I miss pool season without it I have no clue what to do with this morning dead time

Your room has a small refrigerator, right? I think there's a CVS/Walgreens next to Venetian and another near PHo. Pick some up on one of your walks.

I always do that too. It's unusual to see the jackpot that high. I was playing one last year and I got the jackpot symbol on the first 2 reels. All the lights on the machine shut off as the 3rd reel came to a stop, and I thought I was about to have a heart attack. No jackpot. Oh well, it was actually a winning session by about 70 bucks though.

For huge breakfasts, not much beats Hash House in the Linq. Good prices too.

You might also want to try the Peppermill. It's where the old Stardust grinders used to go after all-nighters.

I am totally exhausted right now but way too wired to go to bed yet. It was quite the marathon of a day. I did go down and play the 9am donkament and don't remember much about it. I think it was 400/800 and I had about 7500 and went all in with AK. Got called by 33 didn't improve and I WAS OUT!

I still had some time to kill before the monster stack so I went to Mirage to see if I could get in a cash game for old times sake. Back in the old days the Mirage was my poker mecca. But the list was long and I didn't have much time. So how do you kill time in Vegas? Gamble Except I pretty much gave up casino gambling years ago when I realized I was a degen. Now it just doesn't interest me. But I have this system see Venetian and Palazzo have lowroller baccarat. Now baccarat may be the most boring game ever invented but you can play $5 baccarat and not get hurt to bad. Anyway my system is to play for bank runs. You bet $5 on bank and if it wins you add $5 the next deal. So if a bank streak happens you will win some money and they almost come at least once a shoe. It goes 5,10,15,20 25, etc. until player wins and you start over. Anyway I was getting chopped up a bit and then the run came and when it ended I was up $87. Big money! By then to tourney was getting closer so I wanted to grab a snack, I didn't really feel like a meal so I went to Grand Lux and got one of my favorite deserts. Fudge Cake! This stuff is awesome.

So finally tournament time. First hand (I am not involved) 100/100 blinds. UTG raises to 200 and next played calls all others fold. Flop is xx7. Raiser bets another 200, caller raises, raiser raises, caller goes all in and raiser calls. Turns out raiser has AA and caller flopped set of 7s. I just can't understand how people play like this in a very deep tourney? Going in with aces is fine pre but not post. Anyway I digress.

I went deep. Just not deep enough At first break I was up to 52K in great shape. The key hand at that level was doubling up with a set of 7s. At second break I was down to 44K. Just couldn't get anything going and got chipped away. At the third break I was at 107K maybe a little above average. I had some decent spots and made a few moves and stacked someone when I had pockets Qs. This was also the dinner break and it was already 7:30 so we had been playing for quite a while. They give you a $10 comp for the food court or Grand Lux or Noodles. I just grabbed a slice at the pizza joint. It was okay.

After the break I get moved twice and get to a high of about 130K before just getting bad cards and bad spots. I had 2 huge stacks on my left which made it difficult to make moves. There were 203 runners and first place was about 18K and 21 get paid. We are at 8000/8000/4000 and I am down to about 85K. I am too the point where I need to make a move soon and the bubble in closing in. I am on the button. Guy I have covered goes all in. Next girl with above average stack goes all in and she has me way covered. I look down at AsKs and figure I won't get a better chance so I stick it in. I am up against 99 and TT. No aces, no kings and no spades and I AM OUT! Out in 25th place where 21 get paid. So I played for a little over 9 hours and got dick. Tournaments are fun

So far for the trip I am dead even in cash games and down $660 in tournaments. And if I don't get one outed by quad 2's cash is up nice. And if AK coulda got there I would have been in outstanding shape for a tourney score. Poker is a cruel *****

Tomorrow is my last day and I think I am done with tourneys this trip. I was sorta thinking about the Wynn 12pm $140 but after today I am tourneyed out. Probably just play cash and relax a little and get packed up to go early Friday morning. It has been a terrific trip so far despite less than stellar poker results. I am beat right now and hope I can get a good night sleep.

Actually that is my Boski impression which if you don't watch his vlogs you won't understand as that is what he says every time he busts.

Slept a little later today as I was up longer than usual yesterday. It's raining out which sort of curtails my morning strip walking routine. I will wander around the Paris/Bally's complex for a while but I need to check in for tomorrows flight soon so I don't want to stray too far from the room yet anyway as I want to earlybird checkin and my flight out is at an early 7:05 am tomorrow.

Hopefully the rain lets up as I want the ability to move around freely today without fear of getting drenched.

The rain seems pretty relentless this morning. I am hoping it clears up a little later in the day. It does seem to be a little lighter than it was earlier.

Because of this I haven't ventured outside yet. I am hoping to be able to make a few quick sprints to PH and the other side of the strip without getting to wet. My steps are taking a toll because of this and my 10 mile goal may be in jeopardy. I got in 13.6 yesterday despite leather assing that tournament for 9+ hours. I just wandered a little around Bally's/Paris and grabbed breakfast at Le Café in Paris. I decided to go with French Toast again as it is one of my favorite vacation breakfasts. At home I eat a lot of eggs and when I occasionally go out to breakfast it is usually pancakes or waffles so when on vacation I like to get French Toast because I really suck at trying to make it myself. Anyway this stuff was outstanding! A little smaller than the Henry but still big. I would give Henry a solid 8 but this stuff was a 10.

After breakfast I jumped into an empty seat in Bally's 1/2. The game sucked and I couldn't get anything going and was down $60 when it broke. I would like to get over to Bellagio and give that a try even though I still have bad memories of getting ignored by the brush over there constantly back when I first started playing in the late 90's. I really have no solid plans for the day but the rain is putting a damper on my plan to play it by ear since moving around is limited right now.

It fits my schedule perfectly as I will be up in plenty of time anyway. Plus I am ready to get back to normal life (and food!). I will be eating salad for a month after this trip Plus I have TSA pre check so getting to airport a little later than usual is less an issue. But I will be there early enough. If you fly at all TSA pre check is a great value.

I told myself the same thing two years ago, but then I got back to Aria at 1 am after hanging with the boys at the club at MGM. I thought, I’m stuck for the trip so why not try to get even. I played plo until 8 am and came home a zombie. My wife laughs that I still try to act like I’m young. It took me three days to feel somewhat “normal”.

Makes sense. I have a hard time leaving early due to not wanting the trip to end, even if I am exhausted from it. TSA pre is the only way to fly. Along with Global Entry if you take international trips.

It is going to rain all day. You might want to crash now and walk/play this evening and later after it stops raining....

Well, for all intents and purposes this trip is over. I had a great time eating a lot of great food and playing lots of poker. Still prefer Vegas in spring or fall though to take advantage of the pools and good weather. I am up in the room now for good until I check out tomorrow. Just gonna get packed and try to relax and get some good sleep before leaving very early am.

The rain wasn't really that bad if you weren't going too far. Just a constant heavy drizzle but no big drops. I made my way to Planet Hollywood with minimal rain damage. There was a seat open and I grabbed it. The game was actually pretty good with 3 pure calling stations. I just couldn't catch much in the way of hands. The games started to deteriorate when one of the busted and then shortly later the one that kept rebuying quit rebuying and left. I played for exactly 3 hours and lost $9.

My body was creaming at me to move around a little because my step count was very low. So I cashed out and then walked a few laps around the Miracle Mile. It's much better early morning when no one else is there It had been about 8 hours since that French Toast and I was contemplating my next/last meal this trip. I decided on an old standard from past trips.

I went for an extremely overpriced Holsteins burger at the Cosmo. I pretty much go there once every trip. Bally's, Paris and PH don't really have any food options that interest me and a quality burger sounded good. Actually my favorite thing at Holsteins is the onion rings. Last time they weren't as good but that may have been an off batch because today they were awesome. The burger I had was the Nom Nom and it was really good too. Starting tomorrow its back to salads and fruits and no luxury desserts and fried foods.

After eating I wandered around Cosmo a little to walk off the meal a little and get in more steps. I took a walk back to PH but there were no open seats so I kept going back to Bally's. There were 4 games going and one seat at Bally's so I jumped back in. This was a pretty good game. Aggression worked well but they would pay you off sometimes as well. One of my bigger hands I had AJ and raised pre and got one caller. Flop was J82 rainbow. I bet and he called. Turn another 8 I bet he raised. I thought about it and called because this guy made all sorts of moves with bad hands that didn't make sense. River was a brick and he bet smallish to the pot and I called and said show me your 8 but he had pocket 7s and I took it. Another one seemingly good player raises to 10 UTG I am in BB, there are two callers and I look down at AA. I raise to 42 and UTG calls it. Flop is q high rainbow and he only has 72 left so I bet 72 and he calls it. No idea what he had but the AA was good. After 2 hours my back was telling me to get up so I cashed out up $227.

I walked around a little and made my way down to the chair massage place again and got one more of those. Sitting in those poker room chairs for hours on end does a number on my back. I pissed away over $100 on chair massages this trip but it was money well spent

I only got in 8.5 miles today but I wanted to get in more poker hours today as that was the main reason I came. The total for the trip was +$158 cash and -$660 tourney so less than stellar results. But I had a good run in the bigger tourney and if AK connects I am almost certain to cash. Maybe next time

But it was a good trip and I enjoyed all of it. I enjoy doing these TRs too so thanks for following along. There is a small chance I come back in May and a strong chance I come back ion the Fall. In any event I always enjoy my trips here.
