Yup gvr. I’ll be somewhat mia for a few weeks unless anyone indulging in the joys of the orleans o8 day games with me (kms). Got scheduled ton of 10 hour graveyards at hospital so finding anything else decent to play will be hard until I reschedule some stuff in September.

Move went well but been insanely busy with new job, research, and school. Despite being a stones throw from the strip be actually gotten in to play live very little these past 2 weeks so have been putting in a lot of hours online just out of convenience. There is a little new development though as I’ve been getting the tournament bug I will be allocating $250/week to live tournaments here in town which I will post rail on Twitter and results track on here. Treating it as a recreational expense so in the unlikely event we make anything will get rolled back on for more volume.

I’m considering streaming my online play via twitch but I need to look into he pros/cons/requirements of doing so as I do not have experience with such things (anyone wanna give me the lowdown on this). Not much else going on other then Norcaljew getting a 6 pack while I get fatter and fatter each and every day. 🤣

Looking into it more and I think I’m going to start streaming/twitch some online pokerz as well as probably some mtgo, mobas, and rts on occasion. I may do a little Doug Polkian wsop.com challenge since I found that fun to watch, I would instatilt micros though so would probably do like $1k to $10k instead. Will get the details sorted out and post plan later.

Aight gonna get the ball rolling on the streaming in October (this week), got new webcam and mic and done some trial runs streaming league of legends. Decided on a $300 to $3k challenge to kick things off as I am honestly too lazy to commit to $10k and too impatient to start at $100. Still a good chance I fail quickly due to my potential tiltyness at low stakes and high ROR starting size but will be entertaining anyhow. All sessions will be streamed and I’ll be sure to post on here as well as twitter/Instagram when I fire them up. Will probably start up on Tuesday as I have other work on mon and Wednesday.

Ugh switched from XSplit to OBS for twitch and having all kinds of resolution issues. Will probably just mess around with Starcraft 2 or something tomorrow while I try to tune things and then poker when/if running smooth. I was convinced to take a shot at dougies 100$ - $10000 challenge though I give myself about a %85 chance of failure due to my low stakes ADD. If (when) busto it will just stream my normal stakes/games.

Guess the streaming is out of the question until I get new rig especially with the crap internet at my new place. ...I get like 75% dropped frames it’s ridiculous.

I did discover I’ve gone from moderately competitive to completely inept at Starcraft 2.


Move some stuff around so should be back to some better live hours this month at least. I feel like I need a dedicated poker trip so making some possible plans.

Hey man sorry been off the site a good minute. Naw I was actually going to go play some events at Lake Tahoe but bailed bc been having some car problems so that’s where that time/$ will go to.

Haven’t had much to post lately, nl results have been lackluster lately so crawled back into my Orleans 8-16o8 hole where hourly is super consistent. Pretty demoralizing playing there this much though so I’m thinking bout moving to the Bellagio 20-40 o8 when available I just don’t know how profitable it would be with such a smaller player base. I’ll give it a trial after I get some other things wrapped up and figure it out from there.

Just wrapped up finals so catching my breath. School + work + lab been super demanding I barely get in 20 hrs a week at Orleans but I leave my clinical job in 3 weeks and wrapped up research study in lab so I’ll be back on the tables full time both mtts and cash games . Should be fairly active on Instagram (in 2-3 weeks) @Wheydacheese if any of you new age tech kids are into that sort of thing. Happy holidays and whatnot.

Finally done with clinical job stint! Scheduler caught wind of my impending departure and made last couple weeks pretty hellish with 10-12 hour overnight shifts fired at me non stop so my poker sessions have been non-existent in this new year. Did manage to pad some $ on the end though so it's whatever.

Will finally be back on the unadulterated grind this week though I'm not sure where I'll be based other than I'm itching to gtfo of Orleans for a nice chunk of time :P

I'll also be firing some mtts this year for the first time since 2016ish with January looking like so:

Thx, Ive made a good deal of progress in other non-poker aspects of life the last 1-2 yrs which I personally feel is important but somewhat at the expense of poker progress. I finally have some time to catch that up now, though exactly what that means I'll play by ear in 2019.

Yep explored Philly for the first time. Sugar House and Parx are super nice poker rooms, worth a stop if you're ever out here.

As mentioned previous job decided to make my parting rather unpleasant slamming me with a ton of shifts but it’s nice having a fully open schedule again to be back at the tables. Right now I’ve only got in 3 sessions (last day at previous job was the 8th) but playing solid and running well enough. Only been playing 1-2 and 1-3nl at this time and haven’t been back at Orleans O8 for almost 2 weeks now? Feels nice 🤣. While my $ reserves are bolstered by all the hours I was working and my life expenses are at an all time low, there is a certain number I would like to see before getting back to 2-5 though they will hopefully be sooner then later.

On the job eats:the food porn might get a little seafood heavy as I am actively trying to eliminate beef and pork from my diet.
Tuna burger from Snacks 6.5/10 would bang again, price drags it down some at like $15


Mandatory 5-50 pizza 6.5/10 decent quick food though I’d usually just use comps for Lemongrass had I been playing here much lately.


Found this new Sushi place walking distance from my new ghetto adobe 🤣...$20 ayce lunch till 3pm then $25 dinner, I was really pleased with the food 8/10!

That’s about all I’ve been up to, taking tonight to relax bc mtt grind begins at the Venetian at noon tomorrow , would be nice to secure a day 2 early but my main goal is to actively assess each hand to make optimal decisions w/minimal FPS and max value.

Cars out of commission while I replace expansion tank and water pump +tweak some other things while I’m at it but I love working on cars and it’s infinitely cheaper so it’s a pleasant outlet now that I have more time on my hands. In the meantime I’m like a super Uber/Lyft reg.

Hey man yeah sold the house years ago as soon as I was able to get out even/marginally head and that $ been important in covering some expenses and school costs, the area just started going down hill fast which is pretty much how I feel about ALL of North LV right now. I lived in Henderson for some years but expensive and now am on campus @UNLV across from labs for post grad shenanigans. My rent is lowest it’s been since coming to Vegas but its student housing only. It’s also a 2 min drive into mid strip down Flamingo.

Naw I mean college degrees are pretty useless on a whole and I have 2 now 🤣...but can go in a lot of directions grad school if I want to commit to something eventually.
