The pot has already been controlled quite a bit given that we have 2 broadway cards in a limped pot. I wouldn't expect to get raised very often but when we do it seems to be a pretty trivial fold to me (readless). We probably value own ourselves a fair amount but not to the point that I think checking is better.
Idk, just not big on overplaying one pair oop especially with a potentially live draw vs hands beating me. Find that check calling and letting people barrel away with str and flush draws at 1-2 nets me more.
If you watch the vids youl see I'm generally working with essentially the nuts or hands with practically no showdown value bc when I'm taking initiative haha, that does mean I may be missing thin value in some spots though.
Thanks for doing the vlog I really enjoy watching it. I play 1-2 and 1-3 here in Vegas and amazed how well you do at 1/2 considering the take and all the short stacks. 1/2 here seems worse than 1/2 as I am sitting here at Flamingo now looking at all the $80 stacks. If it wasn't for trying to qualify for a Freeroll every now and then I would only grind 1/3. You are crushing 1/2 and the only person I see accomplish this.
Thx, flamingo is the video after the next one. To be fair I'm on a mini heater since starting the videos, making big hands and rarely getting coolered or rivered.
^its just a matter of the rooms im currently playing in most. if they spread 1-3 would be 1-3, tbo they play almost identical with the exception of the $500 cap 1-3 games. i'll be outlying a plan in a month or so that will involve upping the 1-3 volume into the smaller cap 2-5.
Is there a Poker room(s) that consistently has the best/better free booze, particularly high end free booze, with waitresses that come around at a brisk clip ? Any poker room provide beer bottles table side, free ?
I know Bellagio has more selection as far as mid+ tier scotch/vodka/tequila for the players. Lately a lot of the rooms have gotten weird on the beers only including a limited selection of what the players can get without paying. Caesars has always been pretty liberal on just giving the beer selection to the players but I've hit a few rooms lately that don't wanna give anyone say a gueness or dos xx so in those rooms if your not a Coors/Budweiser chap you can be sol. They usually will part with a new castle though so that's kinda my back up. I don't really drink often but am somewhat particular when I do.
I don't drink at all, but the absolute nut-best beer selection for poker players used to be the M. Every craft/micro brew beer that they had in stock was available to players at no charge. I miss that poker room.
^lol all the people that used to keep my old school 1-2 game propped up lonnnng time ago at Sunset Station all went to the M, then SouthPoint ate all their games.
I was wondering please , if you change your style of play depending on the Stakes you are playing ( $1/$2 vs $2/$5 ) , in that ....... Do you get more Aggressive or Passive depending on the Stakes you are playing Themselves , or is it always ..... Player/Position/The Flow of the game and that the Stakes are Irrelevant ?
I find myself playing far tighter and more conservative at 2-5 and that might be the reason its been tough for me. Just a matter of not being 100% comfortable when I sit in at 2-5. In truth I would recommend players play tighter and straightforward at 1-2 though. Position becomes a bit more important at 2-5 just because it's fair to say you will encounter more players who can/attempt to play postflop with a slightly harder to define range.
Southpoint 100% and I don't mind saying so b/c there will be decent # of games. It's where they all stay +is the actual place it's held. Also a big 100 hrs freeroll promo just wrapped up so less promo hours chasers since to my knowledge they havent set up anything new like that yet.
