How are you my friend?

It was nice meeting you, even though, we didn't get a chance to play at the same table.

If I plan a trip next time, I will try not to go overboard with Tournaments. I will mix in one event per day and cash games. Felt I was burned out with deepruns and no big cashes this time.

Cash games were A OK!

Doing well thx Golf Pro, feeling motivated and healthy again. Yeah the tournaments are great but it's easy to burn a lot of time and have nothing to show bc the variance and it can also burn you out since you can't just break it up into more fun shorter session on your own schedule (like in cash) so that's probably a good game plan. I actually mention something along those lines in the video that was just posted.

Thx Pure Aggression, had a good time and that came out a lot better than I though bc I felt like I had my foot in my mouth the whole time . Look forward to spazzing out around town or catching a show sometime (NCJ always trying to drag me to every show in town bc I'm lazy and socially awkward).

No poker tonight, head was a little fuzzy. Been weaning myself off my little diet coke addiction for diet/health improvement and that shts no joke. Pretty sure the aspartame is giving me actual chemical withdraw to some extent.

Probably hit up PHo tomorrow night see if the circuit stop is juicing the games up any. I've been toying around with shooting some video and suspect I'll do some editing and start getting some vids up and rolling by the end of Sept. Gotta get a new desktop and looking at my options in that department now.

Are you sure it's not the caffeine?

I've stopped soda multiple times and hydration and Tylenol are important to avoiding the headaches, etc. But when I do those two things it's not very bad after the first day.

I've thought that in the past but I've tried to just insta-cut it out and just get the same caffiene from tea/coffee ect and felt pretty equally crappy not that the caffiene doesn't hook u just as bad

Not to encourage soda drinking, ha, but I still have the crave on occasion... Not sure it's much better, but Diet Pepsi is now aspartame free.

I totally quit the diet soda thing about 4 months ago. The aspartame addiction is real. I was having literally real physical reactions to it. I felt crappy for about a week, but now I feel better than ever. If you can do it, I highly recommend getting off it. I will never go back now that I have quit it for good.

It also totally helped with sugar cravings once I stopped diet coke and I lost about 25 pounds.

For whatever reason it seems the unhealthiest people are the ones who drink diet soda. Biggest marketing scam ever IMO.

Idk, I mean heavy consumption of regular soda is a really horrible problem bc its just such a ridiculous amount of processed sugar but the artificial sweeteners have got to be causing some issues just judging by the cravings/chemical dependency. Not a big fan of feeling like I have to have any particular thing.

My wife loves this diet ginger ale called Canada Dry 10 (supposed to be 10 calories per can, I think). She probably drinks almost a six pack per day. I keep telling her that the artificial sweetener in there (aspartame) can't be good for her in that quantity and may be contributing to some of the weird pains she has but she won't even try stopping for a while. I'm sure she'd get some pretty bad withdrawals from it if she does quit.

My Dad has had way too many kidney stones (5+) in his life, and he drinks tons of Diet Coke. There seems to be some rough link there based on the internet. Kidney stones do not sound like fun.

Lol p5xx that's a tough one...I mean I'm as much a nympho as the worst of them so would have trouble arguing against sex, then again...I've seen dudes do some very stupid and costly things (myself included) to get it

Ya I've heard about possible connections with kidney stones and prostate issues ect, I have pretty bad acid reflux in the mornings so that will be interesting to see if it gets pacified sans aspartame

yo Ryan I like the long hair a nice change up to your style, a very "stoner" look like Carl has but doesn't mean you're a stoner. Just that relax look can imply a relax demanor at the tables that gets people to think you're weak when you're quite alert and strong

I have no 420 qualms but only indulge in a very recreational sense. I probably smoke < 5 times/yr...lot of the tournament guys swear by it and I guess it could calm nerves or w/e I just don't feel like I'd play as sharp.

Yea you've mentioned that before I wasn't trying to bring a judgement as I'm a 420 advocate but just saying going from you're more rigid workout style haircut in your profile pic to your more relaxed look is a +ev move because people often over estimate the "weakness" of a relaxed looking player imo

Pretty stale few days for me. Played GVR and Venetian and SouthPoint but was pretty much break even. Was 3 of the most frustrating sort of sessions where you just sit there playing 'ok' but nothing really happens and I didn't feel like forcing the action too much. Between the 3 sessions made 0 flush, 2 pair, straights, sets, trips, or quads...so that was pretty unusual. So given that, a break even outcome (actually like -$85) is not so bad. Actually I just remembered I did go to $10 from BB w/JJ 2 limpers flat and I cbet $10 on 7JK rainbow both folded

It's seemed kinda dead around town this week. I did walk around the Palazzo and Venetian a lot though and tried to take some interesting pictures to post on here.

Cool Aston Martin at the Palazzo garage

I'll be the first to say this is not appetizing to look at but this $8 turkey dinner at the SouthPoint cafe was the nuts

Lol had to post this quickly; Was at Mirage last night and saw this guy passed out, didn't think much of it until I saw same guy hadn't moved about an hour later

Eventually security/floor shakes him until he finally stirs. "Sir you can't sleep here...are you staying in the hotel?" "Where am I???". Guy was completely lost didn't know if he was staying anywhere or where he was. Obviously this is a common sight/occurrence out here but was funny all the same.

I had a fun last few days even though I only got in about 10 hours of poker. I spent Fri and Sat in Summerlin around the Redrock Casino/Downtown Summerlin area. Played the 2-5 at RR both days for a very satisfying +$385 & +$850 and also just wandered around a bunch.

It was my first time in downtown Summerlin and I would say it's comparable to Town Square out off South LVB. You can easily walk to it from RedRock Casino which is a huge bonus. Tons of shopping and seemed to be more in the opening process. What I liked was there are a ton of dining options from casual burger/chicken places to higher end like Wolfgang Puck and some good looking seafood/steakhouse types. I really like the area and the temperatures are cooler; I may seriously consider moving up that way in the near future.

RR

If any chicks out there can hold this pose for an extended period please contact me immediately...for science.

Downtown Summerlin

Cool McL and Pano I saw parked there

So what did I eat? I'm a big sucker for a decent cheeseburger so had to try out the shake shack which I've heard good things about. I got I guess the basic cheeseburger and a cookies & cream shake. Food was decent, sort of like a better version of Steak and Shake where it had the thinner ground sirloin diner type patty. Shake was solid.

Still trying to nix this fat I gained over the summer so after eating a burger and shake I def had to do something active. I found this huge nice park called Lone Mountain maybe 8 miles (north I think) of RedRock and probably waked a good 3-4 miles around the park checking it out.

Today I bought video editing software and have been playing around with that alot on laptop. The previous software I had was on my desktop with the now fried hard drive so there's a lot I need to figure out. I'm going to start shooting more video around town and plan on getting a video I'll post with a link on here probably around the 15-20th of Sept depending on how much time I find for shooting/editing. I've never really done any kind of 'vlog' format sort of video so I'm not 100% sure how I'll go about it. For this video I think I'll just try to show a segment of my basic day to day routine? Probably want to edit something down to around 20min ish...if anyone has anything in particular they think I should include in the video or specific requests please fire away, could use all the input I can get. Thx

Spending some more time playing with the video editing and just sort of brainstorming what to shoot. I don't really watch much on YouTube or anything like that so would pose the questions to anyone who might be reading this: What would you like to see included in video format? Can pertain to anything poker/life/las Vegas related, I'm really just trying to have some fun and see if it's something I might enjoy doing recreationally like I do updating in this thread. That said, I'm def looking for any input on what people would find most interesting and/or entertaining. Thx
