LOL, leaving seems pretty standard there to me. I thought you were going to go on and say how you got into it with the host/hostess or whatever. I hope you at least said something on the way out.

I accidentally broke the buzzer so I sort of left in a hurry.

Well spent yesterday down at Town Square or w/e with the gf. If anyone's here for a trip down on the strip it can be a cool place to maybe spend the day/evening. It is basically a bunch of retail and some restaurants as well as a big movie theater. I'm actually pretty pissed I forgot my phone because there were some sexy cars and some nearly as attractive females. Off the top of my head I saw a RR Phantom, Porsche Carrerra GT and a Panomara Hybrid, an SL63 AMG, a Jag F-type, a 550i 650i and M6, and a Nissan Skyline.

On my way home I stopped at a place on Stephanie Street right off Sunset to eat. It's a little 50's diner looking place that used to be called Ginza Sushi but went out of business and re-opened as Tokyo Boys. Only my second time eating there since it changed, I think it's pretty well reviewed. Prices are relatively low and the food quality is decent. The presentation is a little heavy handed...overall the food is just 'ok' but the star is the tuna. It's pretty clear they have a good tuna supplier and get in large pieces of very fresh and premium quality tuna that they know how to cut and serve. In fact, I would say if you eat here, do yourself a favor just order tuna dishes and you can't lose.

I headed out late to get in hours at Ballys. The table I started on was not the best but got shorthanded so I sort of got stuck there for a bit. Basically treaded water picking up some pots w/nothing and w/out the best hands. I don't recall actually making a hand for the first 2 hours at the shorthanded table and the deck also seemed to be unaware I was present. Table finally broke and I got to go to the juicey game...several $800+ stacks and just general spewey preflop and all around poor play. At this point I was only sitting on like $150-160 and contemplating adding back up to max but the table dynamics sort of made me want to feel able to get it in lightish (even like pp99/AJs would be a big hand showdown at this table). Things worked out perfectly when I pick up ppKK UTG with the most drunk and aggro player on the button. Obviously I limp and a few calls to him he makes it $12, SB proceeds to make it $25, BB calls the $25, and I make it $75. Surprisingly it's folded around to the BB, an older chick in baggy guy's clothing and a mega-luckbox from what I have seen. She flats the $75. Flop comes 6-6-10 rainbow, she checks, I ship the rest in (like $80) she flats...board runs out 5-9 and she sits there so I say "I guess I like that board" showing the KK. She says "no you don't I have it" and slowly rolls the pp 99 on me. g$%#TR$%$ lol...easy game. I had to bite off a comment about how she could go upgrade her wardrobe now and give her husband his cargo shorts back...the last thing I need is bad karma with 2 outers smacking me around. I should have re-bought and owned that game and regret a little not doing so but I was coming up on the maximum time I had planned on playing and was a little frustrated having waited so long to set up an ideal situation so left stuck 3 bills.

Goes to show though how important volume is...If I had just not played on Thursday like I was inclined to, I wouldn't have picked up the +$264, and so would be stuck all that much more. August in general has not been very kind to me thus-far. Really sucks because I do feel like I am playing very strong and dialed in and my motivation is still stronger than ever. I had my eyes on a few of the VDS events in September but they were largely dependent on cash games results for August so are looking unlikely...barring some large reversal and run good. I'll see what I can do of course.

Hit up Caesar's new room today and I do enjoy it. I can see things starting to crawl back to life for them after having previously sort of run the old room into the ground. I sat in a few hours and made +$120. I meant to take some pics of the new room set up for the thread but totally forgot so I'm just going to do a whole pic review of the room next time I get in over there. Got to Bally's afterward to put in some more hours. Frustration continues for me there losing $75 for the session despite some soft spots at table and playing as solid as possible.

I have recorded a few problem hands but haven't gotten around to posting them yet, I will link the threads in here when I do.

Seared Tuna Tataki Salad

Tuna Sashimi

Unagi Sashimi

Spicy Tuna Roll

Dragon Roll

Caterpillar Roll

...Also, at least Ballys wasn't a complete bust, snapped this pic for you guys...chick in red had that hot short girl build with a nice ass ...tall 6'4ish dude they were talking to was a ***** boss, he totally caught me sneaking the pic and laughed and winked at me.

Volume, volume, volume. When you are running bad, you get out of the rut faster by putting in more hours in a week. When you are running good, put in more hours to maximize profits from the good run

If you are having problems being motivated to play, take some time off and recharge your batteries and your interest in the game.

Keep the pics coming! Less food, more girls...

Thx, yeah I may have some endurance session plans in the works. As for the girl pics...I will do what I can to oblige lol...You will probably find that in this thread my interests tend to run something like this: Poker, Sports/Fitness/Outdoor Recreation, Food, Cars, Music/Shows/Entertainment, Women, General $/Accessories/'Swag' (watches/shades/shoes) ...basically in that order. I love women of course but the reason they rank so low in the grand scheme is that if allowed they can easily be the most expensive and time-intensive category on the list, often causing the other areas to suffer. In my wizened old age I generally disregard females now so the pics I get of them from time to time are generally more me seeing something that deserves a candid shot rather than me actually being involved in the active pursuit of tail...that said there are always exceptions that pop up from time to time which I'll likely out ITT...for science.

Oh also, only have 8 days remaining in an all out bulk I've been on before having to clean my diet back up for awhile, so it will be a week of gratuitous over-indulgent meals.

The belated hands of interest from Fri and Sat sessions...not particularly exciting or big $ just were the 2 trouble spots I got in. Feedback is of course appreciated in this thread or llsnl thx!

Hand 1:

You called these troubled spots, so Id say the real value for discussion lies in that you created your own troubled spot in two places (as the strat thread pointed out) by (1) not opening QJo on button with a raise vs limping and (2) by not betting flop for pot building/value from the oop villain. His continuing range you will crush, and his folding out range he's probably just folding On 90% of turn cards anyway. You can much easier make decisions on later streets with a more defined range of hands for villain vs now making a trivial call where we have minimal definition of villains true range, and this is even magnified more by our own range being underrepp'd because of both of our earlier in the hand decisions.

Hand 2:

I hate the thought of raising this river that someone mentioned in the strat thread. I see no need to turn your hand into a bluff. You have showdown value and odds to call, so now just let your table spidey senses do their work on the villain and make the decision to call or fold. That being said, I don't think im folding too often. Even in the times you are beat, the information you gain from this hand should help you maximize value in later spots vs this villain.

Thanks for sharing the hands, just my 2cents.

Also sorry for the relationship comment earlier that sparked the mini derail, haha. To each their own. I have plenty of opinions about them from life experiences (on both sides of the coin) and I know for myself, playing poker full time, Id be in heaps of trouble without my "in house" support system from the gf!

Carry on the low level debauchery! #LVL

thx, I agree that both these spots are fixed by raising pre which I need to do more of; I'll often limp wide from most positions though when the game is playing right so as to play many hands post looking for spots to capitalize on sticky Vs...generally can navigate easy enough but will run into one or two spots such as those two...I don't think its a trivial call on hand one on the river though b/c I feel he's pretty polarized to a boat or having turned his hand into a bluff; the flat on turn to his c/r is pretty much turning our jack face-up so then it just becomes a judgment call on river...

Ya trivial probably not the right word for hand one, but the rest remains true. Also, it should be noted that People do all sorts of squirrelly things on paired boards, good and bad players, with strong and weak hands alike.

I think he has some overvalued hands in his range along with plenty of hands he's turning into a bluff simply because he "knows" you can't have a J here. Of course he has all Jx (some we beat) in his range along with the boats as well.

As played, You are pretty much stuck with going with player reads at this point. You have to be right about 50% of the time you call just to be breakeven long term, but there will also be a little added value to the information call if it's early in your session with this villain and you think he will be around for a while.

It's hard to convey live info in the llsnl threads...to the contrary of the standard i guess this V "knows" we have a J when we make the call on turn so only Jx hand hes value donking on river we beat is maybe J10...it's possible he's continuing a bluff line but it just seems so unlikely for him to take this route out of the blind with other players still in so can't be close to 50% with this V...once again it is difficult to convey live reads/info into the hhs

Still alive and well...been trying to re-arrange my scheduling to take better advantage or some games and get in more volume. It's working fine but its been pretty tight timing wise at least until I get it locked in better. I'll try and do a decent update and some pics sometime late tomorrow night.

Quick funny hand from tonight though...had AKos in BB w/$200ish behind, like 5 limps around I make it $14, folded to the loosest player by far at the table (just recently he c/r my cbet on flop w/mid pair no kicker $25 to $75) anyways he makes it $100, I've mentioned I'm not a huge proponent of flipping but this is perfect vs this V, his range is sooooooo wide here so I say #%$K it lets flip and get the $200 in. Flop comes K710 rainbow BooM! easy game! lol...but wait...he flips ppKK...guess who won hand?

OK before update, quick free promo for the local Stations Casino's NFL options for any of you sports betters who may be interested. They have a big pool weekly picks across the board type one where you get prizes/$ for most winners, most losers, and most 'in the middle', then also a last longer/survivor type one with one pick w/spread per week...I probably won't be doing these this year b/c I am so out of the loop with the teams ect and also will be a very busy year for me but I think they could be fun/decent value especially for someone who does sports betting consistently anyhow.

Car Prizes each week most winners = choice of truck or stang

The basics...

As for myself, I am falling in line well with a new schedule that allows me to be more productive but still get everything I need to done each day and feel solid. Been running well and playing absolutely optimally at the tables (obviously I know it doesn't take a genius to crush 1-2 but my reads and line choices have been really sharp) allowing me to start pulling this month out of the dumps. Crossed the halfway point for the Ballys promo but it's going to take a big final push to make the 100 hours there.

I am as motivated as ever and having a great time at the tables. Trying to make myself socialize more than usual, not only can it be lucrative if carried out deftly, but it also just makes it a better experience for myself and the other people at the table. Wednesday was super fun as I decided I would do what I do from time to time and just experiment with my first buy in. Took a lot of atypical lines and played blind preflop a lot just to put myself in odd situations...I really thought I played excellent but do think a lot of my choices/lines were lost in a 1-2 setting that might have been great in a little more cerebral game, managed to pick up +175$ that night but mostly from dumb luck rather than the results of my bizarre play. I'll try to put in some hand histories on llsnl sometime tomorrow. So anyways...running/playing well and looking forward to crushing the weekend. Also going to do my best to get in a good comprehensive food review at one of my favorite little local spots next week.

An interesting hand Tuesday...I wasn't involved in it as you can see but the flop was Q-10-J and it kept getting raised around until 3 decently stacked players were all in, one shows A-K, one J-Q, and one pp JJ...A-K holds up...so lucrative lol.

Tuesday Night Ballys in for $400 out for $761

Wednesday Nights Experiments in for $300 out for $ 475

Stayed at home base tonight (GVR)

In for $300 out for $755

Car pron has been hurting lately and not much on tap for this week (would have hit the jackpot if I had my phone that day at town square) ...here's a little T.T. that looked good in person but photo'd #$%#tty

I'm a huge Jag fan and the XJL is no exception though I couldn't see myself driving one on account of it being a @#$@ing yacht...albeit a pretty yacht, but still a boat
