wheydacheese - question for you. I'm a cash gamer, my friend is a tourney guy. You seem to play a good amount of both.

My argument - if you run good enough to cash a tourney, the same amount of run good would have won you more money in a cash game.

Your thoughts?

Easier to quantify that by expected return and edge than 'rungood' ...because actually if you were to simple 'rungood' in the right mtt you could bink more $ than you'd make in years of grinding. It's also a different skill set, but I will say strong cash game players generally experience much more consistent returns as well as more flexible oppurtunities. I just started the live mtts about ten months ago and only very part time so don't have remotely close to a relevant sample size. Within that sample the hourly exceeds my 1-2/1-3 and even 2-5 rates but I still consider them a fun/competitive pursuit which is why I generally sell a lot of my mtt action. I think anyone entertaining mtt grinding would need to supplement massive online volume to get anything close to a consistent result and for me that would take a lot of the enjoyment out of playing tournaments.

LOL sick level because true. I had some extensive dental work done just recently that hit me out of nowhere. Sooo painful and been totally blurred out on the prescribed painkillers for several days now! Feeling much better though, look for big azz update tomorrow morning!

Back to Vegas, ready to get on the grind and put Reno behind me. I decided to play a fair number of the VDS 3.5 events running at (obvs) the Venetian while grinding 1-2/1-3 nl and donking limit o8 (trying to work on). To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the Venetian for mtts. The floor and dealers are a mixed bag, some good ones but some I could do without. Basically the type who think its a huge privileged for us players to be playing there. My nl $ volume has been way to low and I need to get on that bad, but its been somewhat mitigated by a pretty good month of plo/plo8 online and a stupidly high win rate at live limit o8. Also chooped even 5 ways for $2256+$200 bounties in one of the Venetian birds and another 5 way chop for 3rd place$ $2700 in another.

Gonna post some pics since back from Reno, then going forward I'll have the updates caught up and more detailed in 'real-time' so to speak.

We weren't done yet so hit up this bar out in Summerlin which btw looked like a great place to pick up girls of the younger persuasion...anyhow played an epic game of giant Jenga and then got my asz kicked in beer pong by NCJ...I used to kill at this game but been sooo many years


played a great 2-5 game at Bellagio for many hours but only +$135...I'm still just not crushing 2-5 though admittedly my volume has been horrendously low last 2 months, anyhow saw the new fall set up






Been taking to slumming around the pin ball hall of fame between $ sessions/mtts



Now for da' food...obviously I've fallen so far from what I consider ideal diet-wise but might as well share the debauchery...I seriously need to fix this.

Ate at this new breakfast place I think its called Baby Stacks or something, tons of varieties of over-indulgent pancakes...these were the Smores and German Chocolate Cake with a pretty good omelet




Tried this Asian fusion burger place 'Bachi Burger' I believe...some super weird flavor combos that confuse the tastes at first but then sort of leave you wanting more, the pineapple ketchup with the fries is interesting as well





Avocado Chik salad at V poker room always solid late night choice


Finally tried the lobster roll place at the V and it was fantastic, inhaled it before any pics; I also tried the chicken place at the food court that was touting "best chicken fingers ever" ...I was super skeptical but can't lie I don't believe I've had better

So I think I covered most stuff. I've been putting in a ton of volume online with decent success, I'm considering doing some streaming of sessions ect so I'll look into that. From here out will get caught up and updates should be more real-time/detailed which is good because in a few days I'll be playing the full schedule of the Wynn Fall Classic series and feel like I'll be playing very solid going into it. They used to have a TD that was a cool dude, was on 2p2, and I played cash with at the Wynn. He moved on a few years ago, and I suspect it was because the V was headed downhill. That place has sucked since.

+1 to the lobster rolls at the V. I'm from New England and they are the best I've had outside of the region. Get 'em with butter, not mayo and thank me later.
