That's where they filmed American Casino. On the show they tried to make it the best hotel in Vegas. It looked very nice.

Stayed for a week two different times last year and my wife and I loved it. The pool is fantastic. Also really enjoyed the spa and gym. I also liked that it was away from strip but easy to get there. While at the pool you feel a million miles from Vegas, but can enter anytime you want.

How often do you play at tables where you know someone (not just recognize but know the other player)?

During a downswing I find it is best to go lone wolf and make sure that I have as much easy money seats in the game. Having a friend, buddy, or known good player in a seat or two takes away potential spots of profit.

Nothing personal but just reading that you play more often with people you know based on your posts and it sometimes effects how you act because you might want to present a certain image in front of other grinders you know.

I could be way off on this so ignore if not helpful. Good luck grinding thru the downswing. Remember, the night is darkest right before dawn.

Ryan, had an incident at work with a customer's Ford gt40. Think I might be in the clear as of now, but still crossing my fingers. Ill post pictures so you know I'm not bull****ting once I'm sure everything is okay. As of Wednesday night though I was 100% my first WSOP was going to be derailed, but things are looking more optimistic.

I def get what your saying mrducks but this is primarily still running like sht less so than the playing (not that that had been stellar either). Won't go into all the missed double draws ect but some of the fun ones last night were A8 < 33 A83 2 diamond flop, AJ < AA AJ8 2 heart flop. And perhaps my favorite...ppJJ make it $16 pre, 6 callers, I'm check-folding the KK10 flop but it checks around...J on turn. I bet out and get called by super loose/bad older Japanese guy...9 on river he leads out all in...straight right? Neh...he had KJ bleh.

Oh almost forgot got slowrolled with verbal pretty bad last night. Board 4-5-Q-K-8, the way the hand played out his river bet made little sense so I hero call with pp66...he looks frustrated says "all I have is 6 high", I flip the 66 and he goes "with a 7 for the strait" and rolls the 6-7...good times.

Managed to stem the bleeding of that downswing last week(ish) with a good Saturday and Sunday. I'm optimistic about the upcoming week. Also as per the terms of our wager, NCJ will be wearing the GAY knee socks (with shorts obviously) with the penis glasses in the next 2 sessions we play in...quite possible Tuesday night so naturally this brings me great joy. Will post update with some pics and then the odd HH or 2 tomorrow.

So not gonna write a ton mostly just pics, last week week and a half has been pretty brutal. Taking a beating but also got me playing pretty sub-par. I've tightened things up and had to get back to basics a bit to grind this thing out and it's helping me turn things around more recently.

So as I mentioned, been finding greaaat games and getting crazy action...just running terribly on the wrong side of the expected outcomes when getting it in and then also managing to run into some cooler situations. All the same some big pots and action despite the run-bad.

Been following your LR (Life Report) and have to say that you're one of the better guys to follow in LVL for both quantitative and qualitative posts. It took me quite a while to read through your thread (skimming of course), but thoroughly enjoyed every bit.

Not sure if you want to have a beverage and throw some money around with a 28-year-old Canadian dude, but if that sounds remotely enticing, I arrive Sunday night. I'll be posting a TR (trying to go semi-live with it), but just stopped in here to say I enjoy the pics and stories, hope that you get out of that downswing, and if you want to party, I would be happy to help facilitate.

Any recommendations for a good spot to grab a quality beer or unique craft beer?

Pizza Rock and Carne Vino have good selection especially some amazing dark porters and there's that new Beer Garden or w/e at SLS I need to check out. There's also a big selection in this pub amongst the shops between Monte Carlo and Aria, the names not clicking for me but I think it has a big Whale icon/sign.

It's probably not coming to you because it's called "The Pub" hahaha!
