When I hit LV for 2 weeks I wanna hit the gym most days - when I'm not staying in a hotel (ie on the weekends) are There gyms I can go to and get a day pass which doesn't cost a ridiculous amount of $?
nothing comes to mind but there's always the hotel gyms, +few gyms you could come with me some days on guest passes if you wanted to.
The GN poker room? Never been there but surprised it's so big.
actually its their tournament room, it's similar to the big tournament room they used to have at the back of the Caesars room they I really liked but they turned it into Omnia.
^you can also only see about a third of it in the pic
Whey
Dealers any better for the tourney than what we get during wsop time? I was highly disappointed in the dealers the last 3 years of playing, so much so that I probably wont return unfortunately to GN
B
During WSOP time all the bigger series are using temp dealers. It doesn't seem to matter from casino to casino, they all hire bad temps.
This.
Also, I cringe every time says something to a dealer at a table. Most of these people are just trying to make a living, trying their best. Very few times is a dealer going to cost anyone EV at a table.
had one or 2 bad dealers and most really good, as some said, the demand for dealers gets so high during the WSOP all around town for all the series that bad dealers are a fairly regular albeit unfortunate reality
The dumb thing is that I know good dealers that have been turned down.
I disagree that bad dealers won't cost you, especially in tournaments. There is a running clock, which makes it important that the dealers do their jobs quickly and accurately. A mistake in a single hand can knock you out of a tournament, flushing all your equity down the drain.
Will probly update tomorrow, the VDS main was disappointing for me so it's been back to the cash grind until summer mtt schedule. Good news is that means time and energy for some 2-5 work. 6 consecutive winning 2-5 sessions in April so far so I seem to be over those earlier bumps and my 2-5 win rate is creeping up nicely. I've got some very interesting hands from cash sessions too if anyone's interested in some poker ramblings. Ah yes also been playing online and running opposite of live...just a string of terrible unlikely beats and suck outs...stupid rigged online pokerz; best recent one was losing all in with AA to A4 on a 997 rainbow flop...sigh.
Just posting pictures from this week for the moment, tomorrow if I get a chance I'll put up some interesting hands mostly hands I don't feel I played well and/or may have missed value on.
Playing a lot of 2-5 at the V
Kevin Spaces from House of Cards Ermagerd!
1-2 at the PHo
They just opened a Hash House A-GoGo in Henderson; If you haven't tried it down on the strip you really should, huge portions good food. This was the sage chicken which is one of the most popular dishes, the breakfast quesadilla, and a cinnabon latte.
unfortunately i didnt find out bout it till i saw in your thread recently. ill just be grinding, hoping to have a solid weekend, frustrating day of 5 hours for a net -$65
*those delicious argyle shorts are from a little lacrosse company out of Maryland
can't find the time to write up a big series of hhs so just gonna toss one or 2 on here at a time
H-H
Stack Size
Hero $640
V $390
V is a young late 20s-early 30s baseball hat, kinda likes to play the D-Bag and make the table hate him, pretty aggro, seen some big bet folds and some weird lines.
I limp 7c10c from MP, probably shoulda opened or folded, V makes it his standard every other hand $6 from LP, I call as does BB.
Flop comes 2c3c4h checks to V who bets $12, BB folds I flat
Turn is 8c, I lead out $18 trying to look defensive/blocking to induce and he makes it $70 which I tank call. I think he can have a ton of pairs with over club, overpair pps with club, double draw combos, AcX, KcX, then of course the unlikely 2 pairs sets and str.
River is a red A which is pretty perfect for me, I check and...guy ships all in $300? wth. I really don't think he can ever be betting worse for value here (and how could he ever get value with this bet?) so he has either turned his hand into a bluff or I'm beat. I tank a long time, I know that THIS V is capable of bluffing here and my turn action looked pretty weak and was purposely inducing. If he is beating me it's a pretty terrible shove b/c there is sooo little I can call with as played. I finally call and he rolls Kc5c. Arg. In retrospect even with a high bluffing frequency here for him, it's just not high enough to justify the call I don't think...i.e. I'm not going to be right often enough about the bluff to profitably call. I should have led $90 then folded to a raise as with that action I think he is significantly less likely to try anything.

V is an older middle eastern guy, a reg I see everywhere. generally pretty tight, can get tilty/steamed, over-values hands.
I open from lp to $12 with A-9s, V calls on button as does BB
Flop is 7-8-9 2 hearts. BB leads out $12, I make it $28, V on button flats, BB flats.
Turn is a black 9, BB checks, I bet out $40, V on button calls, BB folds.
River is a 6d, I check, V on button bets $70. I ask if he called me all the way down with a 10 bc that's pretty nasty, he smiles and says something like "not just a ten" bleh. I tank, cant figure out what I beat, feels super valuish and like I would be burning $ to call. I fold. V shows Jh3h for air.
Been inactive on twitter since this break from mtts started, think Ill twitta-feed tonights cash grindage if anyone wants to check it out @wheydacheese.

Why bet so small on turn?
40 into 120+? So they have odds of at least 4-1?

called you all the way down with a gutshot and missed ouch. but yea you shoulda bet more on the turn with str and flush draws on board. what you going to do if a heart hits the board on the river?
