Just played a funny HU SnG I think I lost like 6-7 all ins with the lead and from ahead or flips but won the last one for the game. Standard. (Actually standard would be losing)

Just come across this thread. I finished 11th in that comp. Not sure if I played with you at any point though. Seeing the Russian win was pretty surprising, his game didn't seem too good with the 4hours i played with him on day 1 but who knows small sample size but he did 4bet jam for 100bbs or so 4times :\

I know! He jammed over my opens no less than 7-8 times over the course of the mtt with no regard to stack size. One hand in particular I somewhat regret not snapping because I feel like he has to be be capped somewhat in these situations unless he's just costing himself a TON of value on the top of his range. Oh well he won though so wtf do we know? Grats on 11th, I know it sucks anything but winning but ya know, did the payout structure seem super weird to you for that deep? I had the blue hoodie and the black and pink hat on by the way.

Seeing more tourneys not do the standard 10% of field payouts anymore, they seem to be going upwards of 15-16% just so more people say they cashed, so sick when you make sometimes less than double your buy in at points in time..

naw wasn't that, it was the multiple flat payout tiers all the way up to 9th. one guy said the min cash amount was to keep it right under tax claim which made sense to me, but after that tier it needs to go progressively up per place in my opinion...someone who gets 15th making the same as 13th and then 12th the same as 10th doesn't make sense to me.

the nice thing about being almost all pros by the time the ITM was coming up, up against the bubble and on the bubble went super fast bc they just want top spots

6 players verbally over multiple statements agreed to and proceeded to soft play each other while taking turns t'ing off on any of my SBs and BBs, buttons, and any opens I made pretty much consequence free of each other and basically high fiving each other in the process (on more than one occasion one would warn the others they would be shoving over me). Was essentially "let's kill the chop blocker". Don't get me wrong I could have epically banked off the situation if I ran hot/got cards but it basically voided my blinds and took out any open-fold betting range I could possibly employ. It took any ability to play a straightforward game away from me. Probably sounds like I'm whining but it sucks when you can't play the game straightforward/effectively because of an artificial dynamic like that. Not entirety sure what dealers/floor could do at that point but SOMETHING as far as warnings/penalties to at least act like they g-a-f would have been nice. I'm over it, if I was gonna chop NINE ways EVEN in a 100-150 man mtt where I'm a disgusting favorite to win and with chips with 3 relative short stacks, I wouldn't bother playing.

I've encountered similar situations towards me and others in little local dailey mtts but not in a series type event like this and not even close to this painfully obvious/open collusion. Was kinda classless/bad etiquette too when I busted they all applauded like a bubble broke and snap chopped for their little life changing $ haha. One dude was realllly pushing it too far taunting ect but I was too pissed at the general scenario to care too much.

I think you should definitely talk to a floor at least in the "how should I handle this if it happens in the future?" I have gotten very good results talking with Logan and Susan(? - dark haired middle-aged lady).

My situations have been cash for me so I just "go to the bathroom" and talk to the floor by the podium and they wander over in a few minutes and just kind of discretely monitor situations (players who were being belligerent that I did not want to engage or suspected collusion).

What those guys did was BS. I wish you had run hot and crushed them all.

A friend of mine had sort of the opposite happen in a small tourney where at F5 the regs started talking about the deal they would make at F4 after they eliminated the short stack (my friend). He would have happily made a deal but they wouldn't include him. After he doubled up twice and knocked one of them out they changed their tune and he got an oversized chunk.

And I am not telling you anything you don't already know.
