I think most people on YouTube would want to see either the everyday life of someone living in Vegas and grinding for a living and/or the "baller" lifestyle of Vegas by going out and food vloging, clubbing, or just hanging out with fun people with cool cars.

I would recommend making a few videos explaining your life, your poker playing, and your typical week/day.

People would be interested in seeing live poker hands as well. TheTrooper97 gives shots of his whole cards but seeing a hand play out, flop, turn, river, and the resulting win/loss would probably get a ton of hits. You might have to be discreet with the camera and blur out people's faces if they get in the shot. Then cutting all your footage to just the main 3-5 hands of the session would make for an awesome video.

I wouldn't recommend daily vlogging to start out but do a weekly video recapping your week and you should have enough for 10-15min that's interesting and not just you babbling about boring traffic in front of a camera.

Maybe check out some of the more popular daily vloggers to see what they talk about and show and get an idea.

I think your biggest appeal will be giving a glimpse of the poker player lifestyle and what its like living in what is a vacation destination for most people.

Also, cool opening and closing shots of the Strip and other Vegas icons.

if he really wants people to see the struggle grinding $1-2 for a living and get plenty of people wishing to watch the video, he should videotape me for a day instead of himself. no one wants to see the guys with money, they wish to see those without.

I love love love the Lone Mountain area. Super underrated and underappreciated, even amongst locals. Quiet little oasis right next to the 215 and like five minutes to the Summerlin Parkway.

I live near Lone Mountain park and just love the area south through Summerlin. You mentioned the added bonus too; a few degrees cooler. Def. makes a difference Jun through Aug.

If you feel that you'll get viewers, spend some of you bankroll on a camera and do it yourself. That's the only way to find out for sure.

I think more people would be interested in seeing someone do it successfully and live a higher quality of life with good food, nice cars, and hot women. But then again, I could be wrong.

u cant video urself. u cant take pictures of urself either. someone must hold the camera and follow u.

its obvious people feel much better about their own lives when theyre reminded other lives are worse. seeing how other people live much better than u doesnt cheer u up, it only makes u feel ****ty

Naw Tony...I think like 95% of the people that do the videos video themselves. But if I start doing it with any regularity I'll 100% put you in a video if your around town (Las Vegas)

Hmmm not sure how I could tape a lot of things at table like the progression of a hand or sessions unless I can figure something subtle out to hide a small camera? I'll certainly look in to it maybe experiment with some things.

If you really want to commit to this, you could go with something more invasive...

I'm actually looking into some funny ways to pull off taping at the table but all if them have drawbacks and obstacles.

I didn't have to play much this week bc this monster score:

Playing around a ton with recording and video editing but realizing I've got a lot to learn. Still shooting for getting a video out within the next week/week and a half just hoping it's not garbage but w/e I'm getting a lot of entertainment out of it. One big problem is I'm super not comfortable/accustomed to being on camera so that feels weird for sure.

I've been trying to decide if I should do the 100 hours for the South Point freeroll since I have about 17hrs eligible there for it. I mostly like to play there for fun since its a laid back simple 1-2 but obviously the freeroll promo holds little actual value so I may just be trying to stay in my comfort zone and costing myself time I should be in better games and 2-5 hours. Either way I'm gearing up for a pretty big grind...after this weekend I'm going to go for 4 consecutive weeks of 45-50 hrs and reassess afterwards.

I'm also slowly saving up some 'shot' $ so to speak which will go to more mtts but which eventually I want to use to take shots at $5-10 nlh. May be a bit before I'm taking those shots though because despite gaining more 2-5 experience every week now I'm still not 100% confident in all 2-5 sessions nor am I the least bit satisfied with my current win rate at 2-5nlh so seems ill advised to start sampling the 5-10 until I reach that point.

Probably going to go hit up Monday Night Football at the Crazy Horse 3 after the weekend if anyone cares to join...that might be good place to test spy cameras too 😂😉

Will post an update this week, this was my last weekend before going on the 45 hour+ 4 weeks volume goal so I pretty much degend NFL bets and played 4-8/8-16 limit o8 (guilty pleasure). Made a bit o8 but only +$374 over more than 18 hours. Pretty much broke even on the sports bets...was looking good and set up to finish with a parlay but the 49ers shutting out the rams messed things up for me.

The big grind started today with 7 hours at GVR, tomorrow most likely offstrip then Thurs -Sun maybe PHo or Bellagio.

I still need to find more time for working on first video...I have tons of video now from bringing camera out with me so may be able to pump out a number of vids it's just a matter of getting better and faster at the cutting and editing. Still hoping to finish up the first one soon and have a few up before end of month just conflicting with my grinding goals. I think the final product(s) should be at least semi polished and entertaining though or so I hope.

When I go to Vegas I play the 08 at Venetian. Super soft games up to 15/30. Do you play there or at Orleans?

Good luck grinding. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Wanted to review my sessions so I looked into sunglasses with a camera. You only get 2 hours. Pretty cheap. I might get 5 and switch them out.

That sounds awesome but how is the quality? If it's pretty cheap, you might get pretty cheap quality video, like old surveillance footage.

Lol I've seen those and it's a consideration but they would have to be super inconspicuous bc I don't think the casinos would be too accommodating.

Have some funny pics I'll post tomorrow while I'm out playing. Semi productive week, got a lot of film/video, I wish my editing skills were sharper but I'm hoping it's something I'll gain in time. Up a little over +$700 on the week which isn't bad considering I got this super weird blitz of a headache/nausea on Fri and had to stay home, partly for that reason I botched my hours goal and only hit 30 on week one of what was supposed to be 45 hrs+ for 4 weeks . Usually take Monday off but I decided to go watch the game/NFL promos at Redrock and get a better start on hours for the week. The 2-5 game was decent but broke super fast so ended up playing 1-2 during the game, didn't win any promos just +$65. I broke even in the game taking 1 bet Philly +3 and one on the over...my thinking was Philly would score high and win but Bears should at least put something on the board as -3 fav...they got only 7 points and I missed over by .5 ...more frustrating bc they missed a 30 yard fg and bc Philly opted NOT to take a FG in the closing minutes to make it a 3 score lead.

Promise fun little video is in the works, I'm just a perfectionist and want it to not suck as much as possible. Good things is ill have tons of excess video to play with/edit/publish for weeks to come once the balls rolling.

Kinda have an itch to play FLOmaha8 tom night.. if I do I'll do a little personal goal/challenge and see if I can run up let's say...30 bigs for the session at 4-8 even if I have to spazz a little, should be doable & entertaining.

^sry I just saw the previous question on where I play O8 limit... primarily Orleans so I can play 4-8 or 8-16, Venetian temporarily had a 15-30 running but it was short lived and I never got a chance to play it.

Didn't end up playing O8, stopped in at GVR omw down to strip and was a fun comfortable game with all the regs I know so felt like playing even if only ended up +$85 over 4.5 hrs.

It was mostly a week of 1-2 with me with the 2-5 action limited to short and uneventful sessions at mgm, rr, and Caesars.

Unfortunately I fell a good deal short of my 45 hour goal only getting in about 30, partly from getting violently but amazingly short lasting ill on Friday.

On to some pictchaz

Weather was great this week as things finally cooled down here in LV. I found myself enjoying wandering the strip between sessions enjoying the lower temps

Saw that there were 2 2-5 games up over at Caesars on a weekday and haven't played Caesars in s long time so walked over... unfortunately the games were terrible, full of quite somewhat angryish grinders in hoodies and headphones. I sat in for about 20min in case I missed something in my visual assessment but it was as unappealing as I suspected.

I decided to wander around Caesars for the hell of it and was baffled by the designers love of/use of breasts so thought it would be entertaining to go on a titty scavenger hunt of sorts which garnered the following:

I saw this guy passed out on one of the sewer grates/vents beside a half drank beer and this other fine individual k.o.'d on a slot machine chair

I think I recall some people discussing the Venetian room down sizing so I thought I'd try to explain it briefly in here and show a few pics. Ok so it's not as drastic a downsize as it originally appeared bc they've rejoined one of the previous blocked off zones. They've essentially removed the old front check in desk and lounge type area and 2-3 of the old rows of cash tables. Most of the action has been moved to the back in what was previously the mtt area. The cashier cage has remained the same and the old mtt desk in the back served as the main desk but they've just completed a new one along with the adjusted glass partition. They had originally blocked off the tables beside the cashier cage but have since rejoined the area though I have yet to see it be used. The removed section of the room will I would guess by appearance be used for more of that group video screen baccarat/blackjack/pai gow that they have been cramming in by the sports book.

What I assume will be the new front desk

The new wall/partition and part of the room now

This is the area by the cashier they rejoined with a weird little barrier added but I haven't seen this area be seated for anything yet

Here's what all the trouble was for

GVR sent me a $15 off $30 at Tides so was time for some sushi and fish tacs

As I mentioned earlier, caught the football action. Monday night at Redrock but 2-5 game went down and I ended up 1-2, table missed all the promos but was good relaxing watching football again

I'm used to such good sociable dealers at GVR as far as stations properties that a few at Redrock really rubbed me wrong, not the large part mind you but a few just seemed really dry+ irritable +snappy...this is reflected in the tips they received. I don't want my ass kissed but I also don't want to be able to tell you loathe your job. By the way the dealer in the previous pic was not one if the bad ones so don't want a misunderstanding there.

Gf was out watching MNF at RR with me (well actually she wandered around shopping most of the afternoon) so we hit up the buffet with my comps for dinner. I've eaten there before but has been a while. On a scale of 1-10 with Excalibur and the likes on the bottom and Bacchanal/Wicked Spoon making up the upper echelon, it clocked in at a solid 7. Food is all good, roast beef not dry or overcooked, a few things I particularly enjoyed like the braised purple cabbage and the gellatto. Also nothing was notably 'bad' which generally denotes a good buffet especially for the price range.

Saw a few cool cars this week, G-wagon with a matte pearl wrap, a few vettes, and this old school low rider which I believe is a Pontiac but I'm honesty not sure...the tail light configuration is ringing a major bell but the model just isn't clicking in my head.

That's about it, looking forward to hit that 45 hours this week and I guess I'll extend that 3 more since I botched last week, so far only 9 hrs from Mon+Tues so lot of grinding to get done.

Good news: hit my week hrs goal at 46 hrs
Bad news: down about -$1300 on the week after some ugly spots over the weekend

I'm def a little frustrated that the hourly I want at 2-5$ is still not coming together for me. There's definitely more work I can do on game and sample size is growing steadily larger but I still think it's fair to say I'm running below my hypothetical expected value in a lot of situations in some large 2-5 pots do that's def skewing me down a bit.

I try not to go in to hand discussion often in this thread but there are a few hands from the weekend I think I may post tomorrow both here and in the strat forum to hopefully get some constructive thoughts on.

No poker today, maybe from all the hours but my lower back has been killing me since this morning. Might be time to get back into yoga.

After getting really frudtrated by the DSLR I've been using to shoot video around town, I've purchased a new HD cam that is much easier to work with so still getting a little footage every day. Finally decided exactly what I want to do in regards to an edited video and it's coming together though I do worry my reach far exceeds my technological grasp (editing skills) all the same, will post that up hopefully this week since I'm more than halfway done and if anyone enjoys it maybe I'll do it semi regularly since it's definitely a great medium for this las Vegas lifestyle sort of content.

Been busy +gf got sick, I think some respiratory crap going around town. That said, been grinding a different game/place than usual and crushed this last week but don't want to go into details untill I see how replicable it is, def ran well.

Had set back video project, too many to list but most recently found out I've been shooting in 1080 x60 which should make for some nice HD stuff but the video editing software I had from back in the day can't handle it as an import file unless converted to 720 so bought a new program that I'm really enjoying. Been shooting a lot if video now and set up a YouTube channel and whatnot to post vids on. I'm shooting for next Wed (tentatively) for 'episode 1' if you will to come out and if it's not super sucky I'm thinking about putting out weekly vids afterwards bc I'm starting to have a lot of fun playing with this. Something noone tells you about this video thing is you feel and sound like a total ass on camera but I'm def working hard at it to make something entertaining and I feel like I'm learning a lot with this new software. So ya I'm excited about being able to capture some of what I try to do in this thread on video where it will be so much more entertaining and immersive (or so I hope)
