So just wrapped up last event at the Wynn Fall series before hoping over to the Venetian again for a bit. All and all it's gone pretty poorly, genuinely ran into some gross spots for mtts (10s full to quad As ect) but still managed to get on one final table as a big favorite to take down the 10k+ up top but hit the nut bustout cooler KK < AA 7 handed for the chiplead so busto 7th for a rather disappointing $1570.

The last 2 events were particularly upsetting because I was out in first 2 lvls of both. The $1600 main I started sliding immediately losing QQ < A6 having raised big pre and big cbet on 694 flop. Then big raise AsKs over multilimpers then cbet big on a 9s10s3d flop and barrel big again on bricked turn before getting led into huge on bricked river and folding. Finally had Kh9h and was preflop opener on button, flop 9c4h3h, an older player in the blind leads out over pot, we have history together and I put him on weak hand I think str draw so I pop it up more and he flats. He leads again even bigger on a 6c turn and now I strongly think he's going to size a jam on almost all rivers so when I make that decision I'm calling most rivers...definitely calling a black deuce which he open jams on, I snap and he has 9-2 os PUKE.

The last $300 which was earlier today kinda sucked too. I quickly chipped up to 18k+ from 12k starting and felt really focused and well composed, however the loosest/most aggro player at the table over bet led on a AQ8 flop and I strongly believed he had a flush draw, when he fired again on a black brick turn I came over all in and he AQ.

I'm still managing to feel pretty optimistic about these upcoming events at the Venetian because my play has been solid and most of my reads correct (minus the AQ hand mentioned above)

On the cash front been playing a few 1-2 sessions at PHo but mostly grinding online.

I may take a month or so after this VDS is over and just grind online so I can work on some other important things away from the tables. Namely getting some coaching hours in (me being coached) as well as getting back in respectable shape. If I do this I'll def do some streams for anyone bored enough to watch.

Sorry for the long hiatus from thread. I ran poorly at the VDS events I played then I decided to take a break from poker for as long as it took to get really hungry to play again. There were just a lot of things I was neglecting that I wanted to get in order and I ended up playing almost no poker for a full 2 weeks hence the lack of updates...I don't think I've taken more than 7-8 days in years so was interesting. I'll be playing a few satellites this month including one tomorrow after which I'll post a big update on here how things have been and current plans.

I'v been lurking a while and want to thank you for the time you have put into this blog - it makes great reading. I'm a Brit and have never been to Vegas but I'm getting a flavour for it through reading this.
If you have the time, I'd be interested to hear what your three least favourite things about living in Vegas are. Also, have you ever been to any of the boxing/ufc events held there?

can u imagine the level of anger and resentment normal players feel (who have zero income if they dont play 30 days a month) at all these rich guys who can take a few days off from poker without it jeoperdizing their ability to provide for themself? im so sick of hearing people telling me to do that when im running out of money and would have no income coming in if i did.

Are you the guy who degens video blackjack? If so, consider the loses you put up there being the impediment to not being able to take days off.

TBC has plenty of issues - but for a guy who generally is supportive and interactive with Whey on Twitter I'd expect this post by TBC to be sort of play jabbing and sort of self reflection where he's mad at himself but projecting towards Whey

And coming from a guy who originally signed up on 2 +2 purely to read the TBC blog, please, please, please let's not derail down THAT road.

Lol I know TBC and his issues fairly well having played a lot of low stakes with him and giving him rides around LV...believe it or not I generally give him the benefit of the doubt of being (at least in his sometimes befuddled sense) well intentioned. Meh I'm hardly rich Tony but I think some time off can be a good thing.

Well I ran pretty poorly in the VDS events, caught some early momentum in the main satty but wasn't to be...had opponents flop bottom set on me in 3 hands that played big, could have lost less especially on the bust out but I was a bit off my game and table break had left me pretty in the dark and readless to the situation.

I do have some further mtt plans this month but have been largely doing the online grind. I'm inherently terrible with technology I'll get a web cam hooked up and figure out how to stream in Dec if anyone wants a sweat.



*Also congrats to NCJ for nice 2nd place finish in one of the Tahoe Ring events (I've played him HU and know he was likely a favorite HU but poker can be a pain), and also Dan and Robert two players I review hands with who made big runs in the VDS $500 rebuy and $600 respectively.

Hopefully I'll be getting out plenty in between the online sessions to catch some events/food/girls (ugh but its cold now and they wear so dam much) and get some good pics for a big update next week. Thx for reading

update of some sort coming after weekend.

to be honest the lack of content has been reflective of 2 factors...
1. I've been playing almost exclusively online in a bit of a grind/tight routine that's far from exciting but I have managed to cover my expenses doing so (which is encouraging given how long it's been since I've put in this amount of volume online). Coupled with this routine has been a pretty boring/mundane life routine though I am slooowly getting back in mediocre shape at the gym.
2. Well...Vegas is kinda boring from nov-dec...I'm sure NYE will be more exciting but the actions been slow the few sessions I have played live and the drunk wandering scantily clad females are at a major low.
