The universe is ***** with me...or maybe testing me...or just really ***** with me. After running all in into AA 3 times at the same table in a V 7pm (KK, AJ blind vs blind, and AsKd on a A98 all diamond flop)...today in the $2500 WSOP I lost with KK to 55 and AQ to 55 to the same guy in the same seat on J85 and AT5 flops respectively. So running as bad as it gets...arguably improbably worse than it gets...but still playing good/motivated and having fun...let's win something damit!

On a more positive if perhaps conflicting note, I feel like some big runs are coming in these next 2 weeks, I'm really looking forward to the next 2 mtts on the 25th and 27th and will play perfect.

I find the weathering of the mental anguish one of the most interesting things about this game. you often have to be content with playing right even though the results sucked. But it's the pain that makes the victory So much sweeter! Run good coming.

Thx guys, yeah the good thing is now that I'm getting more of these mtts under my belt I'm able to handle them with less stress/anxiety and with a more optimistic approach that I feel will allow me to play my best in all of them despite the outcomes being often beyond my control.

Had the $1500 Extended play last week, it was by far my favorite event yet and given the structure I felt pretty close to unstoppable. I played solid through day one despite a general lack of cards/luck and bagged above average after Day 1. Unfortunately I was rivered in some pretty gross spots not too long into Day 2 and ultimately got in the rest with a flush draw/straight draw after having opened pre and got snapped off by a weak TP and bricked. Got K.O.'d about 100-150 short of the $ which was disappointing to say the least...will be eagerly awaiting this one next year.

I had time to get over to the V 7pm but as I mentioned gii vs AA 3 times at the same table in crazy spots.

I recently played the $2500 WSOP NLH and here are my thoughts on it. While I felt I was on par with the field and had an edge in the tournament, the field was significantly more difficult from my observations then the $1500 and under events. It's not that my table was super hard/threatening; I have ran into far harder players in both the HPT here and the Wynn Classic ME; The difference is the ratios, there were only 2 relatively bad players at my table the entire day and they managed to get quickly dispensed of.

I felt I played well overall but was not able to over come a big set back before dinner break with ppKK oop vs a young aggro player on a J85 when he flopped a set of 5s...I was able to grind it back up but at 20bbs in the bb I had AQ and called the same young aggro's EP open...yes, an argument could be made for three-betting but I knew he was c-betting 100% of flops and would have options. Tried to max value by check-calling on a AT5 flop, turn was a T which doesn't fit in his range. He opened pretty weak which screamed of low-mid pairs so I felt strongly he had 88/99/JJ and check called down. Well...same guy...he had 55 again, easy game.


As I mentioned, CvD has inspired me to up my game on the chick-pix. I thought I'd take up the slack after his last TR but then saw he's already right back at it so I guess this is just a bonus. Was no shortage of scantily clad ladies in town for EDC but I didn't get many pix between my phone dying and my tongue hanging out.

This has been me the last week or 2...more specifically the bloke on the left. I'm going into battle ready to eviscerate the field but finding myself restricted by these rubber bands of negative variance/run bad. I feel the bands wearing thin though...look out.

ah almost forgot...more drama at the V for me. We had a running (not entirely unfounded) joke at the poker table that I only play 4 hands KK, AK, 92, and Q6...a guy opened in EP and I jokingly say "I fold to the guy who only plays Aces", a guy says "not one of your four hands?" and I reply "nope not one of my hands" ...with no complaint from player ect dealer snap calls floor over and says "That player said that this player (the opener) had Aces and he was folding because he didn't have one (an Ace)" ...I was pretty shocked and just told the floor that that was completely inaccurate and the other players corroborated my side and the relevance to the 4 hands joke and floor pretty much was like yeah...I'm not going to do anything about that and walked off haha.

Whey,

No matter how bad you run at the tables or how horrible of a beat you may take, you are so far + lifeEV with that girlfriend above that you should just walk around with a shiat eating grin and tell poker variance that you just don't g a f.

assuming this is older asian women dealer? Literally a rules nit, and worst attitude about it as well. Never seen someone break a string of tables by just dealing

^nope, I know this exact dealer and have had similar experiences but this was a grumpy mid/late 30s white guy.

Bad start for me here at Planet Hollywood. KK lost on river KQ7 flop 2 hearts...the missed with TsJs on 9-8-5 2 spade flop...at 9.2k from 20k starting on first break coming back to 100-200 w/25 ante so still fine.

Not my day. With about 9k+ at 100-200 25 ante I opened from utg with 77, BB jammed for 5100, he felt really weak so I snapped. Guy had 10-4 os and won...After the hand he goes "what else was I supposed to do???" Lol. Ran the 3k or so up back towards 10k then looks like I'll double with KQ vs JJ on AJ7T but can't fade the T river.

I didn't think I was overconfident but to be honest I hadn't even considered not bagging this one...with 20k starting and not too difficult table it seemed like it would be easy job but wasn't the case. On to the next one.
