THE SLAG IS BACK!

Some may have noticed I've been grinding pretty autopilot TAG for a month or so and had taken a break from the really experimental stuff. Had some buddies in town this weekend and was grinding like a maniac, tons of hyper focused sessions over the last few days. I pulled out all the stops and just ran wild Super LAG opening a huge range from tons of positions, 3-betting super wide, abusing in position, and constructing so big crazy OOP lines. Everything felt super organic and I just knew where I stood in every hand as well as who what Vs would and would not respond to varying degrees of pressure. I can't go into too much detail because I have some things I need to do today before I go to bed early for another crack at VDS tomorrow so I just took a bunch of pics around town. I also took a pic of chip stack before cashing out at every session except one +$200ish MGM session where my phone was dead. All games are 1-2/1-3 (I still buy in for $300 at 1-3) and no losses.

Ate at TAP by the MGM room...I was weary of the $22 price tag on the burger but it was incredible, ordered and delivered RARE and had the presentation and taste to dictate the price

Ran and played well in VDS Monday before some runbad removed me in mid-stages, another shot tomorrow



Unfortunately, with friends in town, I failed to balance the hardcore grinding with correct sleep, diet, and fitness. For that reason I started getting burnt out and had to take all of today off to come into VDS strong tomorrow, sooo overdue on the MTTS and I'm playing so solid it's frustrating. Gotta get my balance back then get back on the grind.

Well I'm still playing strong and crushing the cash games. Put in 3 sessions yesterday, one was +$62 at the V I didn't get a pic of and the other 2 are below. Unfortunately the cash game success is only a small consolation for the fact that I'm currently 0-4 in the VDS which is pretty crushing. Obviously I'm aware of the variance of mtts but my hyper-competitiveness and the fact that I HATE losing make it still feel like failure. Another shot tomorrow, can't control everything but I'd really like to play perfect. I took today off and put in a good lifting session at the gym and now out to sushi and bed early.

Will likely fire 4 bullets at the colossus, kinda wanna win the thing...



And yes...the chair chick was hot and was owning the final table of the Aria 7pm. She totally caught me taking pic you can see in the pic shes watching me actually but I just pulled the shameless grin and she let it slide.

Still alive and kicking just bit off a lot with this VDS. Turned the package profitable last night though just missing a win in one of the smaller events on my schedule. Also have kept crushing the 1-2 at now unprecedented rates. I'll post a big update after my last event but you can follow the action on twitter @wheydacheese

Ha I've read through this thread a bunch but never saw a pic of you until just now. I was directly to your left with ~40 left in that VDS on Saturday (yellow tee, blue hoodie). Congrats on 2nd! Keep it up.

Nice thread OP. Seemed like a lot of work to read the whole thing so I just looked at all the pretty pictures and that ended up taking a lot longer than I expected.
