Low Level Debauchery in Vegas

Gdam no bueno, phone app keeps failing to upload pictures it uploads to 95% then jams!? 
...welp for a much more boring recap of my first foray back to live tournaments...I ended up focusing on satellites for the series playing one $125 for a $500(ish) event that I did not get a seat in and 3 $280 sattys to the $2k main event of which I won two, played with 1 and got paid chips $2k for the other.
Was excited about the main, my table was easy enough and I was able to be table aggressor as the 2 good players I had direct position on, quickly ran the 20k starting stack up to about 50k in first 5-6 levels (45 min levels) then alternate between 50-60k a bit. An EP raiser opened small like 2.5k at I think 600-1200and got 2 calls then I called from cutoff with pp22 and bb call. Pot about 15k bloated af and original open leads out 2500 again gets called by the other biggish stack to my right then to me on a flop of Q2T rainbow. I make it 12500 so I’ll have stp to Gii lot of turns if called. Only the other large stack calls and turn is K which should often be great for me for his range as he makes a lot of 2 pairs and also now has tp/draw combos with hands like KJ if he called with nut str draw otf; that said it’s not a turn I want to bet when he checks. River is blank like a 3 or 4 and he leads around half pot
I crying call and he has J9 os having made a questionable call on flop with the non nut open ended draw and no flush redraw and smacked the turn. Feeling pretty crippled I later opened a suited 1-gapper 5-7hh and a shortish stack min raised me, obligated call and I flop a pair with backdoor draws on a Q high flop (3-5-Q w/heart) so open jam into him knowing he’s calling off a lot as he has put on 40% stack but that he may still fold out his big broadway non queen combos he does call with 99 which holds. I jam my last few bbs otb with QT off and a lady who just sat in bb snaps with AA to send me out.
Had a lot of fun and made some money but the main event knock out remind me how good you have to play and run for so long in these and the disappointment when you don’t.
Been more of the usual lately but based on what I’ve seen of increased action in the poker rooms and a renewal in my genes motivation, I put on notice with job and will be returning entirely to live play in March.
Will be shooting for a Vegas trip sometime in Spring or over WSOP at the very latest and will have a fun report for that.
Might fire up some kind of hours or similar based poker challenge for myself to get back into full time play but haven’t figured out what yet, I’ll make a thread if I do and cross post in here.

So I moved to Orlando for a few months where I mostly worked a lot but also got in some good poker at the Orange City poker room including a pretty legitimate sun run at plo over 2 weeks for 2500+ bbs. Bought an RV and moved back to the Atlantic Coast where I’m across the street from the beach, girl loves the beach and I can’t complain since I get to surf/fish on free time. Life is pretty good just work 3 12 hr shifts over weekdays then get in 20-25 hours of nlh at Best Bet Jax over the weekends. Poker hasn’t been a big priority and I’ve been more than satisfied just playing fri-sun live. I do miss love tournaments a lot though and it’s looking like WSOP isn’t going to go this year from what I’ve heard. There is a big series posted at hard rock at end of November though so will hit some up if it still goes. I should probably be playing online more given the recent surge in volume and had some plans to stream but haven’t gotten around to it because genuinely just not enjoying online poker lately, lost maybe $1500 or so lately online since moving to Fla but that’s not even a factor it’s just not something I’ve been able to have any fun with lately.
So ya living easy for the moment, been back in gym getting strong again etc. Probably won’t post much on this thread for a bit but it will become an ongoing series of in depth trip reports every time I can get back out to VEGAS baby
. I will probably come up with some sort of poker challenge again in not too long and will post the info here when I do. Hope everyone is getting through the Corona bs as best as possible, unfortunately I think vegas gonna be pretty sht on for a good 2+ yrs.

*still alive, still been back on the full time grind at about 80% 1-2/1-3 20% 2-5. I fked my back up pretty good again and am on annoying steroid anti inflammatory regime for few weeks, taking this forced break of sorts to really break down/analyze and rebuild some poker stuffs from fundamentals up which is good timing bc I’ll be trying to play almost entirely 2-5 whenever acceptable game is available starting June and then will be stabbing at 5-10 if good looking on weekends. Things in the poker rooms have been on a nice upkick here in Fla with the progress in the whole covid sht.
Finally feeling like I want to come off the online/social media hiatus so will probably post some of my June action on Twitter and IG @wheydacheese to sort of track how the planned transition goes.
I’m also getting the itch for a Vegas trip unfortunately I have so much going on right now it’s very unlikely I’ll get out anytime soon. I’m shooting for maybe a short trip in August then maybe something longer in Nov if they do indeed have the Main Event live then I’ll probably try to get in that.
Hope everyone doin great and I’m pumped to get a little more ambitious over next few months as soon as my back is manageable.

Oh yeah with the crazy crypto madness going on I should mention I sold the 15 ETH I picked up last time it bottomed out sub $250 at around $680 thinking it was near new top and feeling like a god-genius...then it went to like $4k and I was sad.
