The menu (even though limited) and ambiance look good. I don't care much about how they advertise.

Maybe it's bullish*t as you call it, maybe they're just aiming high. Might very well be a great deal even if only 50% of their promises are true.

Wouldn't you buy a dish soap that's 50% better than other brands even if you know they're lying by marketing it as 100% better?

I generally let the housekeeping staff make purchases like that.

the main ISSUE that you're 'according to Hoyle' view seems to pronounce is that the Judgement of 'pretentious' is in all actuality one based entirely on perspective.

if what you are trying to say is that you feel, from your own perspective, that the idea is uncomfortable and pretentious... then that is more a statement about your station in life.

I really don't think that trying to 'improve experience' is in itself pretentious by nature, however what is pretentious is a person trying to make judgements for the entirety of all man kind as if those views should be adopted en-mass.

I'm just sayin...
