i always just keep walking until i find a bathroom with no line. sometimes that means going all the way to the one by the rio poker room. ends up taking the same amount of time but i would much rather spend my break getting a modicum of exercise versus standing in a 20 minute line.

It is closer than walking from the Rio to the Strip, either end.

My initial thought was about the same, but the flip side is that people are sometimes willing to offer better guidance while it is still fresh in their minds...

For registration and this is by Faaaaaar my most important tip, register the night before. If you register 30 minutes before the event, you are going to be waiting in a long line. Even showing up an hour late, you will be waiting a long time.
Only the first one needs to be in person if one is paying by credit card. After that, all the registrations can be done online and you just have to go to the kiosk to print the ticket. No waiting in line is WELL worth the break-even between the rewards and the surcharge...and in some cases, there is STILL money to be made through the online registration (get a new card just prior to the Series and then use the registration fees to clear the sign-up bonus for the card).

He obviously didn't play this year. There were lines out the door at every bathroom until you got into the main casino.

There are only lines out the door if you’re leaving the tourney room too late. Unless you’re in a hand for that last hand before the break get up 20 seconds before the level ends and you’ll be fine. The only people who should be waiting in a long line are the ones tanking the last hand before break and they should be shot into the sun anyway.

+1 on Gold Coast - excellent location just across the street, and on the same side of Flamingo as the Rio. Keep in mind the Strip is across I-15 from the Rio, Gold Coast, and Orleans.

Yes I was
I don't play a lot of tournaments but every time I did I had no line walking to the bathroom by Starbucks
Even if I had to walk to the bathroom on the casino side that's fine

"So it’s a big Jenga puzzle, all that stuff."

Well, that's a solid insight.
